Loved their Ginger margarita, the perfect mixed of Reposado tequila, Cointreau, lime and ginger. This light cocktails make a good start for dinner.

Rice-cracker crusted tuna was delicious, melt in your mouth tuna but crispy outside crust. The sriracha-citrus emulsion and scallions sauce was a nice complement to the tuna.



Truffle pizza was good. The dough was more to Roman style pizza, thicker than thin crust pizza. Black truffle, three cheese and egg made great toppings to this truffle pizza. For those who like spicy pizza, please do add their housemade “Cabe Bule” served on the table. You will get a kick of it, one of a kind pizza.

Grilled lamb chops was out of this world, succulent medium-cook lamb, perfectly grilled, combined with brocolini, crispy potato which at first i thought was tater-tots, and mouthwatering tomato-harissa (tomato purée), and pickled shallots (delicious pickles, wish they served these a whole jar for me lol) perfect ensemble.

Roast duck was good too, the shredded duck was tender, blend well with the citrus chili sauce. Carrots and celeriac made good addition to the dish.

Mango panna cotta was super decadently delicious. I think this is the best mango panna cotta I’ve ever had by far. Soft panna cotta, melt in your mouth together with the coconut sorbet. Loved the sorbet as it was not too sweet, so it complements well the panna cotta. The fruit compote was fresh with kiwi, raspberries, passion fruits and shredded coconut, it gives a well balanced taste to it. I’m in love with this panna cotta, even though I am not a big fan of panna cotta because most of them are too sweet for me.

Molten chocolate cake no need further explanation or introduction. I’ve had it years ago (i mean yeaaaarrrssss agoo in JG and MK under the name Valrhona chocolate cake) and it tastes as good as it was. Melt in your mouth chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. Decadently delicious.

Most of the order above was recommended by our server, Ryan, good recs. He also told us that the chili sauce on the table was not just your ordinary (saus cabe) chili sauce, he referred it as “Cabe Bule”, chili sauce specially created by the expats for Indonesian taste.

Ambience was nice, the service was impeccable, a truly Vongerichten establishment. Felt like dining in their NYC’s establishments, delicious food, cozy ambience and friendly and courteous staffs. The GM was very attentive and sincere, Benjamin came to every table and asked on how’s the food, the dining experience very nice gesture. Unlike some other (fine dining) restaurants in Jakarta which the waiter or server or manager just asked for the sake of their SOP and lack of sincerity.

Definitely will be back for lunch (starting May 8) and brunch and the opening of Le Burger, thei 24-hour burger place next door in July.

Power lunch set

Set 1: rice with roast beef, beef croquette and yaki niku (stir fried beef with vegetables)

Set 2 : rice with grilled salmon, salmon sashimi and harami yaki (grilled beef outside skirt)

Set 3: rice with gyu nabe (beef hotpot), beef croquette and harami yaki

Set 4: shirunashi tantanmen or spicy sesame noodle and yakiniku don

Their power lunch is a choice of ramen and rice, the other set is rice with 3 choices of dishes that you can choose from 32 kinds of dishes.

All of them are good. Very reasonably priced and guaranteed to satisfy your hunger. We could also upsize the size of the rice for free. Dessert and ocha also included. Dessert is houjicha mousse. Delicious. Set 1-3 is 107++ and set 4 is 99++

My personal favorite are harami yaki, roast beed and beef croquette.

One of few places (other than the big chain Starbuc*s) who have nitro brew coffee.

Liked thejr blood velvet and black crush nitro brew coffee. The blood velvet has a well balance composition of coffee, milk and red velvet.
Black crush was also good as they put sliced lemon in it, very refreshing.
Latte was also well brewed.

The mini kebab was a nice complement to the coffee.

Bought:

Combo of Honey Nitro Coffee and Nutella Bomba 

Loved their Honey Nitro Coffee, loved the sweet honey flavored froth on top of it, sipped them together (don’t use straw, as advised by the barista) out of this world.

Nutella bomba was delicious, not to sweet but still has sweet hazelnut flavor on it. Delizioso.

L oved their rib eye steak, lightly seasoned but juicy since we asked it for medium rare. Cooked perfectly.

Their empanadas were delicious and scrumptious. My favorite was the Queso y Cebolla. The cheese and onion really blends well with their crusty puff.

They also give complimentary warm biscuits which were so good especially dipped with their housemade chimichurri, an Argentinian origin uncooked sauce in red and green version. Loved it.

Came here because their promo of Monday BOGO (buy one get one free) pizza. Loved their margherita pizza, well balanced of the dough, cheese and mozzarella.
Cheese pizza was delicious as well, as it uses honey as their finishing touch on top of the cheese ensemble. Yummy.

Bolognaise and smoked chicken pizza were okay too. But i will definitely order the margherita and the cheese next Monday.

From couple visits to the restaurant, this place definitely earn a 5 as all of our orders came out satisfactory..

Mantou bread filled with soft shell crab and the other one filled with sliced Peking duck and vegetables. The duck and soft shell crab were tasty. The peking duck was tender. The soft shell crab was crispy.

Thai Banana salad was interesting and good. It consisted of banana blossom (jantung pisang) mixed with shrimp and peanut sauce. The dressing sauce was bold in flavor. Very nice.

Slow grilled beef ribs were tender and the Phuket sauce was tasty and delicious as it also has big dices pineapple in it.

The satay was a deep fried Tajima Wagyu beef and sprinkled with crunchy crumble nuts and dipped in their homemade sauce. It was quite good. The beef was succulent.

Crispy salted egg yolk calamari was good. The calamari was crispy and the salted egg yolk sauce was plenty but not drenching the calamari.

Amazing pineapple fried rice was quite okay. This standard dish on every Thai restaurants has a little difference as i noticed they put Chinese sausage in it with chicken and shrimp as well.

Spinach sautéed with boiled egg, thousand-year old egg and salted egg. The dish was drenching in sauce and it was thick, I guess we got to toss the spinach with them.

Seafood tom yum souprise is the name of the dish and it really surprises me. The broth was rich and delicious, the shrimp was fresh also. Good one.

Thai boat noodle was good though the portion looks pretty big in the menu while we finished it in just couple of slurps. The beef was tender. Suggestion: Add the broth with lime and vinegar and chili oil, yumm.

Duck in red curry was good and best eaten with prata bread or rice of course. Duck was tender. Curry was thick and bold.

Spring rolls durian, crispy fried spring rolls filled with durian paste and dipped with durian sauce. Yummy. The presentation was very nice, served inside a cage.

Sticky rice bomb is four different sticky rice served with sweet and savory toppings. The sticky rice come in two different color, green and purple, reflecting the pandan and ube flavor i suppose. The savory part uses dry shrimp chili flakes and floss. It was interesting yet delicious.

Rainbow ball is tapioca rolled balls dipped in sweet coconut milk. Warm coconut milk and tapioca balls are perfect for each other. Lol

Salted egg sesame balls was quite okay. The filling is not too salty but still has salted egg flavor in it. The sesame ball dough was kind a too chewy for me.

Juice kedondong or ambarella juice was good. Tangy and good for hot weather. Refreshing.

Definitely will be back to their establishment for other menu as they have quite extensive selections of Thai food.
New branch will open at PIK area soon. Congrats

A ll the food we ordered were excellent. The duck was crispy and tasty. It was well marinated and fried perfectly till you can eat some of the small bones. The rice on the duck was very rich in flavor. The vegetables was well seasoned

The Pouch o’truffle or vegetables shiumai was delicious too. With a hint of vinegar on top of the pouch, it taste extraordinary.

The dessert called Double D’s or a very creative rendition of Colenak, a Sundanese dessert made from fermented cassava. It was delicious and mouthwatering, the coconut ice cream made it perfect. Never had Colenak as good as this one.

The drink: Nano Nano blast took me back to my childhood years, i love Nano Nano candy and ate them almost everyday (when my mom wasn’t around lol)
The drink tasted exactly the same as the candy. So refreshing for the hot day.

It was a very nice lunch for me and definitely will be back for more

Cheese loaded fries and chimichanga were good. Well blend but not too overwhelming. Liked the filling on the chimichanga, shredded beef, mozzarella and guacasaca (avocado)with cheese sauce and tomato.

Death by Chocolate was very well presented. Chocolate brownie and chocolate ice cream with macaron and strawberries.

Liked their coffee: Katanya Es Kopi. They used special in house milk which made it fresh.

Choco berry latte is their version of red velvet latte. It was okay.

Caprese salad was fresh and liked the mozzarella on top of fresh tomato with fresh arugula.

Pasta Lunga or the 1-2 meter homemade pasta. All’a matriciana with pancetta, tomato sauce, onion and parsley. This is delicious, al-dente cooked and perfectly seasoned

Pasta wheel: homemade tagliatelle with tiger prawns and porcini mushroom. Al dente and perfectly seasoned. Delizioso.

Liked their homemade bread, balsamic and olive oil.

Cocoa tella is decadently delicious, chocolate gelato, Nutella brownie, chocolate shavings and butter cookies. Minus the whipped cream for me since i am not a big fan of it.
