Tregioia Creamery [ Alam Sutera, Es Krim ]

A Small but cozy ice cream joint tucked in one of the shop houses in Alam Sutera

If you are an ice cream or gelato aficionado, like me, this place is worth a visit. The ice cream is made from all natural ingredients. They don't use flavoring, coloring, or preservatives in making the ice cream. It's the way ice cream should be.

The richness of Tregioia's premium ice cream are well represented in standard flavors like chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. However, it's their more exotic flavors like coffee caramel, mango, durian, jackfruit, avocado, and kopyor (special type of coconut) that coins Tregioia into an artisan creamery.

To fully complete your creamery adventure at Tregioia, don't forget to try the ice cream on their home made cone. My personal favourite is mango ice cream on a cone. For you coffee connoisseur out there, you might wanna try their affogato that can be customized with standard vanilla scoop or, for the more adventurous at heart, avocado scoop. For those who come with big appetite, you can try the ice cream with freshly made waffle.

All in, a place that serves premium ice cream at reasonable price. Definitely works for me

Menu yang dipesan: Mango and chocolate

Harga per orang: < Rp. 50.000

Wee Nam Kee [ BSD, China ]

Great chicken rice place in BSD

I have recently found this chicken rice joint by accident when walking around the BSD Breeze area. Having been familiar with the Wee Nam Kee brand in Singapore, this place became an instant favourite chicken rice place for me and my family.

The chicken comes in two standard styles: roasted or steamed. Both are equally nice in my opinion, with the roasted one being more fragrant and the steamed one being tastier. The chicken rice itself is cooked with generous garlic and is served warm in a bowl. Each portion also comes with a bowl of hot and tasty soup. Staying true to a typical Singapore chicken rice stall tradition, you can ask for a top up of the soup (tried and tested 😊). To compliment the chicken rice meal, the traditional sambal and crushed ginger are available on every table. Dark soya sauce is also available on request.

Side dishes like classic omelette or vegetable dishes like bean sprouts with salted fish are available. But my personal favourite is kangkung with belacan sauce, done in Singapore style.

For those looking for ambiance, this place has pretty nice ambiance. The place is brightly lighted during the day as it is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows. Honestly I haven't been to the place at night so I can't comment.

All in, definitely worth a visit for those who are fans of true Singapore style chicken rice stall. Pricing wise is a bit steep but much cheaper compared to paying an airfare to Singapore and visiting its original stall at Thomson Road

Harga per orang: Rp. 50.000 - Rp. 100.000
