Located in the hustle of Blok M Square, there’s a noodle house with their Meow’s mascot. The place is quite not too big, but still can hold many customers at lunch hour. With traditional Chinese interior touch, you’ll get the feeling about what kind of food you’re gonna have. I had Mie Karet Charsiu (Vegan), and it was good. The noodles are umami and the Charsiu still tasted like a meat, like how they did that?! For the drink, I had Liang Teh, which is my favorite pair for eating noodles. For price worthy, it’s really a good deal among other noodle house in Jakarta. Definitely gonna going back for try their Bakmi Brisket and Crispy Tofu Sambal Mangga.
P.S. The location is easier to find from Claypot Popo Melawai. Just going straight from there, and you’ll find Bakmiaw.
It used to be my go to caffeine stop at Kemang, now they moved to Wijaya and finally I have a chance to pay them visit since then. The new location is more semi outdoor with seats in open space and greenery everywhere. A little extra effort if it’s raining, though. Their coffee is still as good as I can recalled. I had my very first Flat White, and I liked it. Gosh, I found another favorite caffeine dose! For the food, I haven’t tried theirs yet, so more excuses for me to come back. Oh, the price here still one of the best deal for a cup of coffee.
Recent found, but already made it to the list of my favorite coffee shop. Tiny look from the outside, but quite spacious inside. Doesn’t have many seats indoor, but backed up with outdoor area. Comfortable enough for WFC (work from coffee shop). Loved their coffee recommendations. Tried their butter sugar sourdough toast, it was good. Gonna come back for sure.

One of the hidden gem in Kuningan, South Jakarta. Located in a small alley, so it’s a challenge if you bring your own transportation. When you passed the entrance, you’ll be surprised with how big the restaurant actually is. Goes with the javanese traditional vintage vibes, the restaurant’s trying to bring a calm ambience amidst Jakarta’s hustle. Yet, the weekend’s hour still packed and I have to be on waiting list. Not so long, I got my table and ordered their Bebek Goreng Perdikan and Tempe Mendoan. Bebek Goreng is good, crispy and still juicy, sambal is not spicy enough. Tempe mendoan is big, good enough with sambal kecap. For the price, yes it’s quite a bit expensive for a simple duck dish, but the ambience you got made its worth. Their service is also good actually.
