This BK in Karawaci used to be one of my usual along with the starbucks next door for a thesis spot. Mostly because of their wifi lol.

Always ordered their Whooper Jr. Love the meat, the onions, and everything. And it came in right size too since when you ordered with fries and drinks, you don't want to have too big burgers (I mean that's me lol). Also love their mushroom burger! It only has XL size, but love the cream, the mushroom. So gooey and yummy :)

Capitea is located upstairs on Makan Sutra. So when you want you order foods in the food court area, you can grab this one for the drink.

I tried their Roselle Honey Lime with Rainbow Jelly [Rp.25.500]. It was Fresh and zesty, also taste a bit healthy :) The portion was quite generous, and it was not too sweet too! The service was good. Friendly waiter, quick served. And the rainbow jelly was fresh and yummy too :)

I was here after fitness. My friend decided to take a sip of their promotion that day, Winter Melon with Lemon and Basil [Rp.20.000]. And I decided to drink their Kiwi Smoothie [Rp.25.000].

The winter melon was light, zesty fresh, and unique! I suppose that's because of the little addition of basil and turned out it actually goes well with the taste. The kiwi, you can sipped the plump everywhere. Fresh and sour, so they added honey to sweeten it. I love it! The fresh fruit was quite many. :))

It was my friend's birthday. So we booked the VIP room, to give awesome surprise, plus there's no smoke here, thank God. There's dart machine, sofa, tables and chair, and beer pong's table set up afterwards. We play darts, ordered beer tower (sold out, so we changed it to 2 pitcher of beer) so that they would set up the beer pong's table. The room was actually a bit dark, dimmed light. Outside, was very loud and lots of smokes. I wasn't so comfortable about that. Luckily, the only noise in our room was us shouting fun. I got red too easily, as usual. Even after only drinking 1.5 glass (of 1/5 full each loly lol). 

Okay, talk about food. We ordered their Mushroom Popcorn, Chili Fries, Pepperoni Pizza, Pork Belly Supreme, Cream Fungi, and also some karage chicken wings. One that stands out is the Mushroom Popcorn! The mushroom was so juicy and it was deep fried outside with crunchy, tasty flour. You can also dipped it in tomato-herby sauce which was delightful. Their pizza was thin crust.

To fulfill minimum kuota for VIP room (2million rupiah), we ordered some cocktails and mocktails too. The kiwi one is my favorite. Yeah, it has no alcohol. Lol.

Cake a boo was quite popular for its cute innovative cake. We tried their cake bomb while celebrating our dear friend. They were flexible about little customization, so we ordered two (smaller version?) of them instead of one. It was yummy! The mouse was delicious, and inside you can find MnMs, with dark chocolate liquid. We actually put it outside for 1-2h before we ate it but it turned out just fine. Anyway, so my review here was based on this cake alone. Which, I think was quite a great, and creative cake. For the taste alone I actually gave 3.5, another 0.5 goes to its creativity.

I love love love pistachio gelato! It's been quite long for me searching this particular taste. So when I went to this place, I was thrilled to read there was pistachio gelato-based popsicle. So of course, I try one, dipped half in dark chocolate [Rp.29.000]. It was yummy! I actually regret to dip it in dark chocolate since I couldn't taste the whole pistachio. So I enjoyed another half of rich and bold, bit creamy pistachio. You can actually still feel the ice, but not too much that it disturbed the whole pistachio gelato experience. It's a popsicle after all, right? Love!

Okay let's do some comparison here. Two things that differentiate Hot Star from other large fried chicken are the sauce and the chicken. Their price is more expensive than their competitors. It ranges from Rp.50.000 - Rp.56.000, while market price in Jakarta for this item is around Rp.38.000.

Okay I'll be honest, two of relatively better things that I found in this chicken are:
1. Their sauce. If you choose BBQ or Black pepper sauce, the sauce is liquid-base, not powder. Actually there are pro and cons about this.
Pro: personally, I think it tastes better, more tasty and yummy for fried chicken. Like glaze korean fried chicken.
Cons: since the sauce is liquid, it'll become easier to make a mess. The wrapping paper soon became a bit soggy, and I just don't like it when it became soggy and mess your hands.
2. They don't really chop the chicken.
Pro: it's actually easier to eat since you only need to bite it.
Cons: it's harder if you buy this to share with your friends. And you actually have to grab the wrapping paper in certain way in order to bite it, so that the sauce makes the wrapping paper become soggy quickly.

Now. There are also two things that made me not falling in love with this chicken:
1. There. Are. Bones. Damn, I'm enjoying this chicken until I bit its bone. It's just not pleasant. Just do fillet please.
2. Since this is not a boneless chicken, it just doesn't make sense that it's actually more expensive than their competitors that are boneless. And it's not only 1-5% more expensive, it's around 35-40% more expensive. Why? Why and why? I've seen the chicken, it's actually smaller too compared to others.

This was my second time here, after I saw other ramen shop was closed, we decided to eat here. We tried two different ramen and a gyoza:

[Tonkotsu Ramen Small Rp.30.000]
I wasn't so hungry so I ordered their small portion. It was a 70-ish gram of ramen noodle. Pork broth, with steamed pork and half egg. The broth was nice and thick and flavorful. Although, my bf thought that it was a little bit smelly. I didn't smell anything, though.

[TanTan Men Regular Rp.48.000]
Their regular TanTan has around 100gr of noodles. Chili, thick broth. My bf liked this, I wasn't in love with this. I think they had a bit of unfamiliar chili smell which I found rather odd. Anyway, they're able to complete your request if you wanted mashed/chopped garlics, and they also got delicious fried garlics to top it all. Yay.

[Yaki Gyoza 6pcs Rp.35.000]
A steamed, bit fried gyoza. After they steamed it, they fried it a little bit so that the only fried part was the bottom. I personally liked deep fried gyoza better. They got special vinegar for this too, which my bf love.

[Cold Ocha Rp.10.000]
Their ocha wasn't the best ocha. You could taste they probably mixed it with regular tea.

This place were located on Sudirman. Since we're feeling to eat some cake, we tried their red velvet cake. 

What's different about this red velvet is, not only cream cheese, they also put some Nutella too. And amazingly, it worked out wonderfully. The cream cheese and Nutella was smooth and delicious, the cake was not too dry, both made a delicious dessert! :9

The ambience were pretty good, the lighting was enough to make good picture, but you need to sit near the window since they haven't turn on the light just yet.

I ordered:

[Lost Frenchmen Rp.115.000]
The presentation was nice, big stacks with a knife as a glue holding them together. The taste was okay. The patty was soft, the beef was gourmet made, juicy, and the apple on top was really nice. The portion was generous too.

[Veracruz Redsnapper Rp.90.000]

Not my favorite. I expect more like herby aroma and taste. Well, the fish was actually cooked well. Tender and nice, the mashed potato was soft too. But the taste wasn't the best. I could still smelled the fish unpleasant aroma too, although just a lil bit.

[Pomegranate & Cranberry Juice @Rp.25.000]

I love the drinks. So refreshing. Sweet and sour, a perfect companion to our food, and a serious relieve of thirst.

Ohya, saya juga cobain salmon pizza buat bareng2. Pizzanya sendiri sih rasanya biasa aja, dan doughnya keras!
