Review Pelanggan untuk Publik Markette

Another middle-high restaurant from Ismaya. This resto came in an unique concept like canteen where different menus are served everyday. Publik Markette which located in East Mall Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, Central Jakarta has already got its name famous and familiar in my ears. I was scrolling my screen on the bobobobo website where I found Publik Markette Lunch Package Promo Voucher. The promo consist of juice, soup, appetizer, main course, and dessert with only IDR 100k (their normal price for lunch package is IDR 120k).

The option for today lunch main course is chicken alla puttanesca or cajun barramundi with tartar sauce. I decided to chose Chicken Alla Puttanesca with Hainanese Rice. For the drink I chose Mighty Mango Juice. Other dishes such as soup, appetizer and dessert cannot be picked or simply say it depends on today’s menu too.

Chicken Alla Puttanesca is a boneless chicken cooked with ginger, fried/grilled, served with tomato sauce and cheese on top. I think they put too much ginger in it but the taste is still delicious even with the over-ginger. The hainanese rice is also okay. The green colored soup was too thick, I can feel the texture of potato or some other veggie in it eventhough it tastes good, the texture really was annoy me. Too heavy for a pre-main course dish. I like the potato chips for appetizer, it was well seasoned and crispy.

Juice? just so-so. I must say my expectation at the juice was too high. Mighty mango’s ingredients was mango, strawberry, red cabbage, and carrots. No wonder it’s texture was thick too. It was not too sweet, so if you are looking for something healty, maybe this beverage would be nice. My last meal is a quite letdown from Publik Markette. The dessert was a slice of cake, I thought it was banana or lemon cake, while the fact it is just a cake (without particular salient flavor). It was served with a yummy lemon paste that makes me had a high hopes with the cake but then it was so hard I couldn’t even cut the cake.

Eventhough I had full tummy when walked out the door, I felt a bit unsatisfied especially with the hard textured dessert. The service was very good and friendly. At least this modern cozy place had an excellent service to give to their customer. Will I ever come back again? maybe. Not sure when but certainly won’t take another lunch package with weird dessert.
