#Lawar Platter
#Sambal Platter
#Tipat Mekuah
#Klepon Nangka
#Pisang Bakar
# Rujak Putu Made dan Jeruk Bali (prawn and pomelo salad in “pindang” soup)
— this is so fresh and delicious, the pindang soup really made it different, salty yet refreshing. The succulent pomelo and fresh prawn blended well with the pindang soup. A must order.
# Be Cumi Sambal Sereh (squid fritters with chili and lemongrass)
The squid fritters were crispy and the sambal sereh complemented them well. Love it
# Lidah Sapi bumbu asin (salt and pepper grilled beef tongue)
Though the beef tongue was tender and i liked beef tongue, this was just standard for me, may be need more spices on it.
# Sate Platter, consists of 2 skewers for each satay varieties they have. So the platter has:
* Sate Lilit Ayam or Balinese style minced chicken satay
* Sate Lilit Ikan or Balinese style minced fish satay
* Sate Lilit Bebek or Balinese style minced duck satay
* Sate Ayam Bumbu Merah or sweet and spicy marinated grilled chicken satay
* Sate Escargot or sweet and spicy marinated grilled escargot
* Sate Kambing or grilled lamb skewers
From those 6, my least favorite was the Sate Kambing. However the Sate Lilit need more “kicks” in it or need additional spices
# Lawar Platter consist of 3 choices out of 6 Lawar varieties. Ordered:
* Lawar Jagung or grilled sweet corn tossed with roasted coconut and fried dried shrimp.
* Lawar Nangka or grilled young jackfruit tossed with roasted coconut and mbe chili sauce
* Lawar Genjer or blanched burrhead vegetables tossed with roasted coconut and topped with chicken skin crackers
Loved their Lawar Nangka and Lawar Genjer, will definitely ordered them again with other Lawar dishes
# Nasi Campur Bebek consists of crispy fried duck, slow roasted duck (bebek betutu), sate lilit bebek, lawar kacang panjang (long green bean tossed with roasted coconut), fried peanut, lalapan (vegetables) and sambal matah (chili, lemongrass, shallots with coconut oil)
The fried duck was crispy, bebek betutu was also delicious, the rest of the condiments really complement the whole ensemble of this rice dishes.
#Sambal Platter, choose 3 out of 6 different chili sauce. Chosen: sambal matah, sambal bongkot, sambal merah. These three are equally good, only different style and ingredients. But my favorite still their sambal bongkot. Loved the kecombrang (torched ginger) inside the sambal bongkot.
#Tipat Mekuah, similar to ”Lontong Capgomeh” or rice cake in curry broth, with chicken curry, ayam pelalah, telur pindang (fried egg), bean sprouts, green bean, fried peanuts and crispy chicken skin
# Klepon isi Nangka or sweet glutinous rice ball filled with palm sugar and jackfruit, covered with grated coconut. Quite delicious
# Pisang Bakar or grilled banana with grated cheese, sweet condensed milk and chocolate sprinkles. Their version is good though the taste was just standard for me, similar to other places that sold the same thing
Overall, the food was good, no hit and miss, everything was edible. Definitely will be back to try their seafood and other menu.
