SOCIAL GARDEN IS LIKE A HOME AND ADVENTURE AT THE SAME TIME, SOMETHING EXCITING AND COMFORTING ALL AT ONCE.

Biteorbye? Bite, 100%.

Why you will love it ❤
1. THE FOOD. If love had a flavour, it will taste like Social Garden. Here is what I ate:
-The highlight of the meal was easily the 48H Braised US Short Ribs. The beef ribs is exquisite, it is on the sweeter side however is balanced with the nasi uduk puree (yes, underneath that beef ribs is actually nasi uduk that has been pureed so you can really taste the coconut milk flavour!). It comes with Vietnamese coleslaw topped with puffed rice. You know the dish is a labour of love and the chef pours his heart out to create it.
-Tasmanian Salmon Ceviche is the dish that looks super simple yet able to surprise you. The ceviche has been cured for 5 hours so all that fishy flavours? Gone. Only thing left is the smooth salmon taste with ikura on top but the crispy garlic and nuts really add that intriguing dimension. Honestly, this looks super simple but you can taste the complexity. They say you only fall in love once, Social Garden proved that is wrong because every bite feels like we fall for the flavours over and over again.
-Wingko Babat Bakar is interesting! Who knew they can bring a very interesting twist to a local dish and elevate it even more. The most interesting part is this citrus taste which gives an element of surprise and refreshing taste served with vanilla ice cream. The portion is generous for 2-3 people, so get this to enjoy with your date, friends, family, friendzone, etc.
-Wagyu Bibimbap Bowl is not a typical bibimbap bowl as it uses Japanese Curry and floss I believe which really makes every bite a treat, bibimbap with Social Garden’s twist.
-Quattro Formaggi Pizza was enjoyable because well, cheese. Brie, mozzarella, gorgonzola and grana padano parmesan. You can never go wrong with cheese honestly. AND HONEY.
-Spinach Agnolotti is a vegetarian option with great taste! Usually pasta with no meat is not the best (for us, at least), but they proved us wrong.
-Mango Passion is served with ice cream and highlights the sweetness of the mango and slight (very slight!) sourness of mango. Great option for you who want something refreshing yet sweet.
2. They experiment with drinks to find what works! Here’s our favourite:
-Passion Colada! Must-order. Love the passion fruit because it sour and has a hint of sweetness, really refreshing especially since it awakens the palette after all the great food. Also a plus, the drink looks super pretty. Note though, this is on the sour side, so might not be for everyone. If you prefer sweet drinks, go for the Strawberry Fizz.
-Strawberry fizz is also a popular one, it has a sweeter flavour profile so if you are not a big fan of sour drinks, definitely go for this one it has coconut, strawberry, aloevera, chia seed and basil. They really love to play around with the food and create art!
-Garden specialteas, make sure you get it. It’s not just a treat for the eyes but also the taste buds. Calming and relaxing feeling served in a cup.
3. The chef can also personalize the menu if you want a vegan or gluten-free meal. Really appreciate that they cater to various dietary restrictions.
4. The ambience is really something. There are two areas, the inside of the mall which is more well-lit and you can get more artsy photos here due to better lighting. But I personally prefer the outdoorish - not really outdoor though/darker area. People can smoke here, but I guess the exhaust works really well you cannot smell smoke and the temperature is just right, not too cold or too warm. Perfect place to chill and relax with family, friends and that special someone during brunch, lunch or dinner.
5. The service is great, but not really surprised on this one because, well… Ismaya always have great service and concept. Thanks Mas Ardy for the hospitality and explaining our menu!

What could be improved 🙏
1. Personally thought Fresh Tomato Carpaccio was a bit on the salty side. But this could be due to the ratio of feta pistacchio puree and tomato though - it's generous on the feta pistacchio then again a generous topping never hurt 😉. However, I ate here with 4 other people and they did not complain.
2. Quattro Formaggi Pizza’s crust would be better if it were thinner. This really depends on your crust taste, because some people might enjoy this. But in terms of taste, this reminds me of the Quattro Formaggi in Social House in GI which is one of the best pizza in Jakarta (under the same Ismaya brand so I guess I can mention the name? 😉).
3. 48H Braised US Short Ribs was easily my favourite, I think an element of freshness or hint of sourness would have been interesting to compliment the sweetness of the ribs and the savoury of the nasi uduk. While the coleslaw was enjoyable, thought a refreshing/tangy salad would have complimented the dish better. 😊
3. I think a bell for each table would be useful. Nonetheless, staff did a great job in terms of attentiveness and friendliness considering the restaurant was packed. Can’t wait for my next visit to Social Garden, planning it already!

MUST TRY GARDEN SPECIALTEAS + WAGYU BIBIMBAP

The vibes are amazing, so green and it feels like you're in your backyard full of flowers and so instagrammable. There's two areas, non smoking area (with dim light and great for having lunch) and smoking area (brighter, feels like in greenhouse - I do sit in here as the non smoking is full and must wait for about 2 hours) but I love the outside vibes way better. The services are amazing as well, they know their product well, so attentive and helpful. Let's talk about their food:

For the starters, I ordered PORK DONUTS (70K) - 24 hr braised pork shoulder with hoisin mayo. Not my kind of starter, it's good but I do expect more bold flavor and it taste like combro if you know (Indonesian fried potato snack). But that hoisin mayo is great and add unique flavor to that crunch donuts (7/10)

From the josper grill, I  tried their BARRAMUNDI BAKAR JIMBARAN (180K) with kangkung plecing, toasted coconut serundeng and nasi gurih. I tried a little because it's superb spicy but it taste delicious. That barramundi is soft, tender and grilled perfectly. The rice taste great as well, if you're a spicy lover go for this one!! (8/10) 

For the mains, we ordered CHICKEN TERIYAKI with sauteed mushroom and teriyaki sauce (.....K): okay so the menu in here and in ismaya website is not updated yet and I do forgot the exact price of this one, but it's taste good. Not kind of chicken  teriyaki that I usually eat, it's more like chinese cuisine with veges on top (8/10)

And their must order menu - WAGYU BIBIMBAP BOWL (140K) - wagyu beef yakiniku, poached egg, ikura, nori, japanese curry. So, as it name bibimbap - you should mix the elements altogether. This is korean comfort food with japanese fusion, so they used japanese curry instead of gochujang sauce. The wagyu beef is the star of this dish and gotta say I like this one better, and yes that ikura definitely pull all of the flavors together  (10/10)
For the drinks, we ordered MOOD ENHANCER (60K); STRAWBERRY FIZZ REFRESHER (60K) consists of coconut, strawberry, aloe vera, chia seed and basil - this is my friend's order so just taste a little bit and it's fresh! Definitely not artificial one, and it's great as it cleans the palate of spicy barramundi earlier.
As for me, I ordered their original favorite are GARDEN SPECIALTEAS - there's 5 types: exotic, floral, fruity, spiced and herbal. I opted for their FLORAL (60K) - chamomile tea, french flower, lavender and dry rose bud. OMG AMAZINGGG!!! I do wonder how they could make a taste like that -- it's taste flavorful, flowerful and fruitful lol. Truly a sweet cup of tea that really pleasing and soothing my mind.  PLEASE BEWARE you couldn't refill it and it comes in a small amount (yes it's expensive but if you compare with their premium ingredients to make this tea, it's worth it!! PERFECT POINT FOR THIS TEA!! 10/10)

Finally, setelah denger sanasini kalo makanannya Social Garden tuh enak , kesampaian juga buat cobain sendiri nih. Aku suka banget sama konsep restonya, bener2 my kind of fav place, banyak ijo2nya disetiap sudut ruangan. Udah itu, tanaman ijonya tuh tanaman asli bukan plastik. Ambiancenya pas malam remang2 dan adem gitu, bener2 super cozy, cocok bt nyantai sambil chill bareng temen nih. Tempatnya juga luas banget loh, dari luar keliatan sempit, begitu masuk ke dalamnya luas.

Pelayanan di sini juga oke banget loh, masnya super sigap dan humble. Bener2 okelah. GB

Tasmanian Salmon Ceviche (Rp 140,000)
Salmon slice dengan topping crispy salmon skin, spicy mayo dan ikura. Tekstur salmonnya lembut, paling enak tuh pas ikuranya pecah di dalam mulut. So gewd lah. Jangan dibiarin kelamaan kena angin ya, nanti salmon skinnya gak crispy lagi.

Warm Baby Potato Bowl (Rp 90,000)
Salad dengan kombinasi dari baby potato, beef bacon, poached egg, sweet potato crisps, spirulina dan hollandaise sauce. Inii recommended! Salad satu ini kalo dimakan sendiri bakalan ngenyangin banget nih, hollandaise saucenya bener2 pas banget dengan si baby potato. Belum lagi ada beef bacon yang nambah sensasi si salad. Sukak banget salad kayak gini.

Truffle Mushroom Fettuccine (Rp 105,000)
Buat aku yang suka truffle, pasta ini cukup oke. Kombinasi dari homemade pasta yang lembut dengan creamynya mushroom sauce bener2 cucok. Belum lagi ada aroma trufflenya yang cukup kecium. Selain mushroom sauce, pasta satu ini juga dilengkapi dengan tarragon dan grana padano parmesan. Menurutku secara keseluruhan rasanya pas dengan tekstur yang masih cukup light.

Wagyu Bibimbap Bowl (Rp 150,000)
This is da best!! Ini merupakan salah satu menu yang wajib kalian order kalo di sini. Perpaduan antara japanese curry rice, poached egg, ikura, nori, wagyu beef yakiniku, spring onion dan beef floss bener2 perfect. Beef flossnya enak banget, beef floss disini homemade loh, pas di makan tesktur serat2nya tuh masih berasa gitu. Nasinya juga well cooked, bakalan makin enak kalo ditambah dengan chilli powder nih. Wajib dicoba!!

Mediterranean Chicken Kebab ( Rp 120,000)
Porsinya gak kenyang nih buat wa dan kebetulan makanan satu ini bukan tipeku. Chicken kebabnya biasa aja, mirip grilled chicken aja gitu. Chickpea hummus dan pickled oniosnya di sini buat cocolan pas kalian mau makan chicken kebabnya. Menu satu ini sepaket dengan 1 roti gitu ya. Chickpea hummusnya ada sedikit asem seger gtu rasanya. Anw, grilled red paprikanya enakk.

Los Pollo Loco Pizza (Rp 95,000)
Tekstur doughnya pas, gk ketebalan dan gak ketipisan. Tapi dari segi rasa menurutku biasa aja nih, kayak kurang berani gitu rasanya. Topping pizzanya terdiri dari pulled chicken, sauteed leeks dan onions. Kurang yakin base pizzanya apa, soalnya tomato saucenya kurang berasa gitu.

Gluten Free Berry Cake
Enakk, ku suka, tekstur cakenya lembut. Rasanya gak terlalu manis dan ada asam2nya gitu. Berry jamnya cucok, kayak masih berasa gitu teksturnya. Uda itu cream cheese dibagian atasnya jg punya tekstur yg light, jadi gak bikin enek.

Gluten Free Pandan Kaya Cake
Nah, dari 2 cake yg aku cobain, aku lebih suka cake 1 ini. Kenapa ?? Soalnya ada srikaya jamnya, enak beud dah. Manis cakenya pas, gak bikin enek, uda itu tekstur kaya jamnya juga pas banget. Si pandan cake ini punya tekstur yang sama lembutnya kayak cake di atas. Heheh.

Strawberry Fizz ( Rp 60,000)
Gelasnya cakep, bener2 bentuk strawberry gitu. Minuman satu ini merupakan kombinasi dari coconut, strawberry, aloe vera, chia seed dan basil. Rasanya kemanisan kalo buat aku.

Kale-Fornia Dream (Rp 60,000)
Ini enakkk, seger banget, manisnya juga pas gitu. Kombinasi kale, mango, mint dan yogurtnya emang oke banget. Buat yg suka minuman2 sayur, ini boleh dipesen.

Garden Specialteas - Fruity ( Rp 60,000)
Favoritku!! Suka banget cara penyajian hot tea satu ini, pas airnya dituang ke pot langsung keluar asap2 gitu, cucok abis lah. Kombinasi dari black tea, peach dan ginger yang bener2 nenangin, rasa dan aroma jahenya berasa banget. Bener2 sukak!!

Overall, aku cukup puas dengan makanan dan pelayanannya. Dan untuk tempat dan teanya bener2 aku kasih two thumbs up 👍👍. Well done ISMAYA!! kena angin ya, nanti salmon skinnya gak crispy lagi.

Warm Baby Potato Bowl (Rp 90,000)
Salad dengan kombinasi dari baby potato, beef bacon, poached egg, sweet potato crisps, spirulina dan hollandaise sauce. Inii recommended! Salad satu ini kalo dimakan sendiri bakalan ngenyangin banget nih, hollandaise saucenya bener2 pas banget dengan si baby potato. Belum lagi ada beef bacon yang nambah sensasi si salad. Sukak banget salad kayak gini.

Truffle Mushroom Fettuccine (Rp 105,000)
Buat aku yang suka truffle, pasta ini cukup oke. Kombinasi dari homemade pasta yang lembut dengan creamynya mushroom sauce bener2 cucok. Belum lagi ada aroma trufflenya yang cukup kecium. Selain mushroom sauce, pasta satu ini juga dilengkapi dengan tarragon dan grana padano parmesan. Menurutku secara keseluruhan rasanya pas dengan tekstur yang masih cukup light.

Wagyu Bibimbap Bowl (Rp 150,000)
This is da best!! Ini merupakan salah satu menu yang wajib kalian order kalo di sini. Perpaduan antara japanese curry rice, poached egg, ikura, nori, wagyu beef yakiniku, spring onion dan beef floss bener2 perfect. Beef flossnya enak banget, beef floss disini homemade loh, pas di makan tesktur serat2nya tuh masih berasa gitu. Nasinya juga well cooked, bakalan makin enak kalo ditambah dengan chilli powder nih. Wajib dicoba!!

Mediterranean Chicken Kebab ( Rp 120,000)
Porsinya gak kenyang nih buat wa dan kebetulan makanan satu ini bukan tipeku. Chicken kebabnya biasa aja, mirip grilled chicken aja gitu. Chickpea hummus dan pickled oniosnya di sini buat cocolan pas kalian mau makan chicken kebabnya. Menu satu ini sepaket dengan 1 roti gitu ya. Chickpea hummusnya ada sedikit asem seger gtu rasanya. Anw, grilled red paprikanya enakk.

Los Pollo Loco Pizza (Rp 95,000)
Tekstur doughnya pas, gk ketebalan dan gak ketipisan. Tapi dari segi rasa menurutku biasa aja nih, kayak kurang berani gitu rasanya. Topping pizzanya terdiri dari pulled chicken, sauteed leeks dan onions. Kurang yakin base pizzanya apa, soalnya tomato saucenya kurang berasa gitu.

Gluten Free Berry Cake
Enakk, ku suka, tekstur cakenya lembut. Rasanya gak terlalu manis dan ada asam2nya gitu. Berry jamnya cucok, kayak masih berasa gitu teksturnya. Uda itu cream cheese dibagian atasnya jg punya tekstur yg light, jadi gak bikin enek.
