Location wise quite hidden as a few traffic passing by (esp on weekend) but it seems to always full when I was going to other restaurants next door. After years of curiosity finally I got a time to try. They specialize in Kamameshi and skewers. A bit of retro ambiance with the decor and they played old Japanese songs too. Kamameshi itself is a dishes popular in the late Taishō period, amplify visitor to be back in pre-war era Japan.
Ordered:
Gomoki Kamameshi (9/10): It is a rice claypot cooked with soy sauce and choices of protein (mine was chicken and seafood). A rare to find in Jakarta and my first time tried it as well. It has unique taste and happy to be back again trying other options.
Nankotsu with Soy Sauce (8/10): An Izakaya staple of chicken cartilage. Didn’t expect the portion to be this small when take into account the price of 29.8k++. Thankfully it taste great, would be 9-10 if it was larger 😂
