When you go to restaurant and you actually wanna see if the chef can cook, you order the simplest thing on the menu. And for dim sum, I always judge them based on the shaomai. If it tastes bad, probably they're gonna fuck all the menu up.

The shaomai here was quite good. Like it almost beat eaton's shaomai. Have you ever tried it? If you haven't, give it a shot. It's my benchmark for shaomai. Back to this one, it's juicy, fragrant and substantial. And look at that shrimp on top. Huge, fresh and plump. And I gotta tell you this, it tasted sweet and juicy as any great shaomai should taste.
