I really had high expectations to this restaurant, since I know Paik Jong Woon is very famous in korea and I watched his show. I am aware that the taste will not as good as in Korea. But I believe at least it will taste good.
Okay, I came around 06.00 PM on weekday. Me and my friend ordered a Beef Jajang Myeon, Seafood Jjamppong, Kkampunggi (Spicy and Sour Stir Fried Chicken), Corn Tea and Cider.
Around 5-10 minutes later, the waiters came back and informed that they don’t have the Beef Jajang Myeon, only pork that available.
Maybe around 5 minutes later the waiters came back again and informed that the Kkampunggi was not available. I was annoyed at this time, how come so many menu were not available when its only 6PM? And its on weekday the restaurant was empty also, only 3 table was served. So I asked her what menu that I can order? She recommend Gochu Yuringi (Spicy Fried Chicken with Chilli Peppers and Soy Sauce) so we ordered that.
Our Jjamppong came first, the broth was taste like instant ramyeon, nothing special, did not have the smoky flavour. The seafood was not fresh, the clams was still fishy.
- Gochu Yuringi (Spicy Fried Chicken with Chilli Peppers and Soy Sauce)
It was good, the sauce taste good, the chilli was served separately so you can adjust it by yourself, I tasted the chilli but it was not spicy at all.
The chicken was fried and seasoned well, the texture was crispy it goes well with the sauce.
- Kkot Ppang (Flower Shaped Bun with Condensed Milk)
Crispy outstide and soft inside, perfect to combine it with the condensed milk.
- Corn Tea
This is pitcher size you can order only one and share with your friend.
Overall I was not satisfied with the food, so I really want to give it another try and visit their branch in Central Park later.
