For those of you who aren't quite familiar with omurice, it is an omelette-wrapped rice dish (usually tomato fried rice).
Sunny Side Up successfully brought the idea of traditional omurice onto the next level. Here you can customise your own preferred omurice dish, with plenty of choices of rice base (from the buttered to the healthier brown), meat and sides to go with.
Mine here was the succulent chicken karaage omurice with fluffy buttered rice and half-cooked omelette, complemented by the savoury Japanese sauce anda bunch of shimeji mushrooms. just perfect.
The place was quite empty when I visited. It served just the appropriate rustic concept dominated by warm woody tone, combined with the cute modern minimalist Japanese theme in the furniture selection.
Ruci's Joint is the perfect example of an excellent collaboration of delicacy and visual taste. It perfectly combines a laid-back collective food joint with tantalising selection with a simplistic art-space on its upper floor. Try the halal dim sum from Ya Dong. You'll get 3 choices with just a single 100k IDR, and the taste are comparable to the standard Chinese restaurant you can find around the J-Town. most of them are chicken and prawn based, but what I loved the most was their salted egg-yolk buns.
