Salted Egg Chicken Rice with Mozarella and Sunny Side Up. My first thought was it's just another salted egg kind of dish. You know, for some reason everyone keeps making salted egg menu. But yeah, they put a little spin on it. Melted cheese on top and runny egg yolk aside.
I didn't pay for this, but I won't make a fake review. As I always say, I give an honest opinion. The chicken was super tender and flavorful (I tried the fish, squid and shrimp, for me the chicken was clearly the winner). The mozarella was soso (not a big fan of cheese, so my opinion completely biased on this). The egg yolk was runny, and tasted good. How about the salted egg sauce? I'm gonna say it's mediocre. It's not bad, but it just tasted like another salted egg sauce, nothing stand out from that sauce.
After few bites, I just realized they did give chili and lime leaves. I took both, mixed them with runny egg yolk and the salted egg chicken. Introduce a surprising flavor. For me, the lime leaves made a huge impact on the dish. Just make sure you get the lime leaves if you happen to try this.
