After my not so good experience dining at Magal in Sby, I was not so keen to try this brand of korean bbq again eventhough many people said it is sooo goood.

Today, my sister in law invite us to eat here to celebrate her birthday. At first she wanted to go to PIK Magal but I told her that there is one just opened at Meruya less than a month ago.

Magal is a franchise brand...i know about this after I saw the other branch written on the paper place mat. Beside the meruya branch, it only written the senopati ones and dis not mention either PIK or Kelapa Gading.

Anyway, we decided to get ala carte instead of package. We ordered: 2 Beefs - Kkotsai Jumulleok & So Yangnyeom Galbi , 3 Porks - Mapo Kalsamgyupsal, Mapo Yangnyeomgui & Mapo Galmaegi and a soy bean paste stew with beef brisket.

Loved all the pork meats especially Kalsamgyupsal (pork belly) however personally beef meats were not so good...they were not as tender as the one at our usual korean bbq place eventhough the price is more expensive. Maybe also because the waitress overcooked despite I asked for medium.

They have lots of variety of Banchan and you can ask as much as you like, also they serve free ocha. I think these are they are pluses.

Service was pretty good but parking will be the downpart if you came at peak hourl.

Will I come back?? Maybe yes
