Great Javanese Food

So, I and my fam went here last sunday for lunch. Though the place from the outside it's not really big, but.. taaraaaa, the inside is soooo spacious. There are some private rooms as well as the indoor and outdoor area. Pick the outdoor area since the indoor area is a bit dark and lack of light. The decoration is quite unique and ethnic, there are so many kind of vintage and javanese things inside also the outside, but still makes us feel like home and reminds me when I was in Jogja.
The very first great impression I got was from their waitress who assisted and accompanied me from the beginning till I finished my meal, recommended and explained clearly every single question I asked about the menu. They were so helpful and friendly.
They serve so many kind of Javanese Food in buffet, so we choose first what we're going to order then they will serve it to your table.
Oh ya, I ordered like A LOT of food last time, such as Nasi Bakar, Nasi Uduk, then: Ayam Setan: nah, this is the signature yet killing dish from them. Steamed chicken with tons of red bird's eye chillies #eh #lebay. If you can't stand the spiciness, don't, just don't order this setan. The chicken was good and juicy. Though this dish is super spicy, but I like how they combine every spice so I didn't only feel the chillies but other spices too, (tapi tetep, pedes woi!) hahaha. 8/10
Ayam Gondol Wewe: less spicy than ayam setan because they use green chillies but still yummy! Recommend to you who doesn't really like spicy. 8.5/10
Asem-asem Daging: I really looove this, the acidity level was just right. Sweet, savory and sour all blend perfect! The beef unfortunately has a bit too much fat (cenderung kayak tetelan), but...I like it sih hahaha.
Tempe Mendoan: deep fried a big thin slice of tempeh coated with batter, taste good. Me likey! Sambal Demit: enyaakk! Btw, IMO this sambal was less spicy than ayam setan's sambal.
Oseng Jamur Tiram: taste just ok, could be better. Oseng Bunga Pepaya: taste not so good, a bit "langu", the spices wasn't really dominant.
Oseng Cumi: just ok
Sate Usus Ayam: guess what? It tasted soooooo gewd. Bumbunya endes des des. Texture was really tender. Me zuper likeyy!!
Oseng Kikil Manis: ini juga enaaakk parah :) bumbunya enak, manisnya pas.
For the beverages, I ordered these 3 drinks as recommended by the waitress Es Manjur, Es Janji Surga, Air Mata Buaya (ugh those name are so unique right)
I forgot the combination between each drink, all I remember, those drinks consist lime, basil seeds, coconut, soursop and coconut jelly. So refreshing and not too sweet. Ah, overall, this is such a recommended place to go, especially with family or friends. Though the price is quite expensive IMO (according to the small portion), but it's really worth every penny you've spent.
Great ambience, great service and great food. Keep it up!
