Good Place to Chill, but the coffee just meh. Wish they'll improve it soon.
Everything with truffle oil hype me up. Strong aroma of truffle paired with crunchy french fries. The tartar sauce was also good. A bit creamy and mayonnaise-y. Huge portion too, perfect for sharing.
Toasted Bread served with strawberry jam and vanilla ice cream on top. It looks like it's gonna be more dense, but it's really really fluffy and light. It's kind of dry but moist at the same time. I tasted slightly cheese flavor, but the strawberry jam kinda overwhelmed it. I don't like cheese, so it's a good thing for me. The combination between the jam and the sweet vanilla ice cream works so well. Each component is heightening the other's flavor.
Traditional thai style stir fried noodles with yellow tofu and shrimp served with ground peanuts, chives and fresh bean sprouts. Good food, great ambiance and fresh ingredients. Everything you need in one spot. Sticky pad thai, crunchy ground peanuts (I believe they stir fried the peanut first, it's very pungent), sweet shrimp and earthiness from that chives, so comforting. Everything just compliment each other. You can say the taste is quite authentic. My only concern is the fresh bean sprouts. I just don't eat raw bean sprouts, fried it a lil bit and it's gonna be perfect (it's personal thing though). Price-wise, totally worth it.
Taco Lengua. Twice-cooked beef tongue and crispy pork rind. Contains beef tongue, pork rind, some kind of green sauce, fresh tomato, two small slices of lime and cilantro on top. Let's be clear, It's only my second time eating mexican food so no reason for you to trust what I'm gonna say. The tongue was tender but lack of seasoning. The crispy pork rind was not even crisp, thanks to the green sauce, it's become soggy. The green sauce was sour and the texture was strange. The taste combination of them all is like insult to your tastebud. It's still edible but not in a pleasant way. If I'd known that the green sauce was sour, I wouldn't have used that lime. I used all the lime even before I took a bite. So yeah, I took part of that absurdness. Be a smart user, don't judge this place based on my review. Compare it to others or try it yourself.
The saddest part was, it's not even mine. So I ain't tasting the shrimp or the clam. But, I did try the pasta 😶. The texture was good. Not too hard and not too soft, al dente gonna be a proper word to describe it. The flavor was a bit confusing to me. Was that really aglio olio? Strong seafoody flavor and lack of garlic flavor. We all know aglio olio means garlic and oil. If I crave for aglio olio and they serve me this, 100% it won't satisfy me. However, if I ain't specifically craving for aglio olio, this pasta actually tasted quite good. I mean the flavor was there. Rich in flavor and lot of toppings. My point is, it's a good pasta with misleading name on the menu.
The Premium Fish and Chips. Crispy deep-fried dory drizzled with golden salted egg sauce served with french fries and tar tar sauce. To be honest, I barely tasted the salted egg flavor. The amount of the salted egg was disappointing. Luckily, the dory itself was tasty enough to be eaten on its own without the sauce. Perfect battered fish. Lean and the ratio of the batter just right. Not too thick but thick enough for crunchy texture.
