Gelato Joint with more than 40 Flavors to choose from
I can safely say that from more than 40 flavours they can offer each and every day, it's a fun trip when going at Gelato Paradise since you are allowed to taste test the gelatos before choosing what you want!
Loving the combination of Snickers,
Straciatella (I'm a sucker for this lol), and apple pie.
For 48.000 you can get the medium size for a total of 3 scoops with Cup or Cone choice, a bargain for you who wants to taste delicious gelato with a reasonable price :)
If you are looking for that distinct Italian Gelato taste, then GROM is the right choice for you! A worthy ice cream bar worth the travel and the wait.
Reigning from Turin, Italy, GROM promises to make the best gelatos fresh in ingredients from their "Ice Cream Kitchen" just behind the store!
You can pick various flavours of gelatos and sorbets here at Grom, with a choice of Ice Cream in a Cup and or Cone. 1 Cup/ Cone can be mixed with 2-3 different flavours according to the size.
My favorite here is a combination of Straciatella and Bacia, a mix of Vanilla, Hazelnut and Chocolate all wrapped up into one. I have to say that the ice cream here is very soft and chewy in texture, so prepare for a sweet and delicious bite!
GROM has definitely stepped up the game of Jakarta's Ice Cream business that is also growing like hot cakes. The authenticity of the flavors and the freshness of their ingredients definitely wins people's hearts.
Finally tried the WARUNK UPNORMAL branch in Gading Serpong! Been while since I ventured this area since I don't go to UMN anymore lol
Ambience wise it is a cool spot for hangout, caters well with university students who are in a tight budget and would like to gather together with their friends for an amount of time. So you can imagine it is a great place, but very noisy. The AC unfortunately didn't work when I was visiting there, so it was quite hot inside.
Anyways, tried the Indomie Saos Telor Asin and it was just so so, it unfortunately doesn't live up to the place's hype. The Sambal Matah Indomie was also just spicy. They don't give you that distinct Balinese flavour and smell.
It's quite a bummer that the place doesn't live up to the hype, maybe next time I'll try other stuff and we'll see from there.
Menu yang dipesan: Indomie Saos Telor Asin, Sambal Matah Indomie
Nasi Uduk Ibu Jum! It's always a view of a long line in both outlets, Kelapa Gading and PIK. Long lines mean good food or just the hype, so by gambling I tried it out.
Turns out the line was worth the wait! Upon arriving and queuing you will be asked if you want the 'Nasi Uduk' or just plain whit rice. You'll also be asked on which choice of chicken would you want to pick, the grilled one or the fried one (It's okay if you don't want to have chicken, just politely say no to the waiter ) Upon being asked by the waiter, let's move on to the next step! you will feast your eyes with Ibu Jum's etalage, showing the choices of side dishes that can accompany your dine in here, they have a wide range of veggies, fried snacks, or even crackers (kerupuk)!
Price wise for a "Nasi Uduk" joint is a bit pricy. Prepare to extract a minimum of IDR 30.000 from your wallet. But for me, it's worth it because the portion was quite big.
Taste wise? I have to say that it is delicious! Judging that you can pick any to your liking, Ibu Jum caters to you, so you'll definitely pick the best for yourself
I had an enjoyable dining experience at Ibu Jum and hoping I will be back soon, won't mind the long queue~
