Why you will love it ❤
1. The seasoning in Kuningan City is quite generous compared to other branches! (Love).
2. Sweet plum potato fries is the reason I come back here, generous in seasoning, cinnamon, sweetness, sugary but savoury snack. The kind of snack you would dream about at night
3. Line in general is not too long (while queueing I recommend going to other food shops nearby haha).
4. Lots of branches everywhere
5. Various fintech payment options.

What could be improved 🙏
1. Shihlin is quite pricey for a chicken arounnd 40K, it is worth it every now and then because, well Shihlin, but this is not a cheap snack.
2. The Sweet Plum Potato Fries used to be just a little bit spicy, but now it’s just sweet.

Why you will love it ❤
1. They have really good quality tongue here! Considering I am not a big fan of tongue, this is really saying something. The tongue is only available for premium all you can eat though, but if you are a big fan of tongue, this could be one of those worth it splurges. Order the thin one, it is better and allows faster cooking too.
2. I have visited another branch of Gyu Kaku, the squid and shrimp were not too fresh. Not in this branch though! I like the squid and shrimp, when you need to slow down a bit and take a break from the meat. Shout out to the shrimp, the size is rather big.
3. Other notable meat include: rosu and spicy shabu.
4. Make sure you order the wakame salad if you want some greens (good for 2-3 people FYI!).
5. Also, takoyaki is nice here, so make sure you order that one too.
6. I like how they change the cooking grill quite frequently so the burnt part of the meat does not stick to our meat.

What could be improved 🙏🏼
1. I do not recommend the juicy beef pot, stay away from that because it is too fatty.
2. King karubi and dragon karubi has lots of fat too, but king karubi is still enjoyable but do pay attention to the cooking otherwise it will get burnt!
3. Service while friendly could be a bit more attentive, but perhaps this is because it was a full house during lunch time. Just make sure the waiter/waitresses pay attention to customers raising their hand. With that being said, their service was still wonderful!
4. I wish their sauce had more kick. I understand this AYCE place perhaps would like to focus on the quality of the meat itself which is already marinated, but a great dipping sauce never hurts!

1. Nostalgic, classic taste. Most probably your first Japanese fast food joint. Always a lovely experience eating here.
2. Love the sambal here, different to other sambal out there, addicting!

4. They are situated near the window, so the restaurant is very bright.

What could be improved 🙏🏼
Signage to Hokben could be improved. It was my first time in Tamini and I got confused where Hokben was. If there were no banners I would not know Hokben was right in front of me.

Why you will love it ❤
1. Great dessert selection, the best one is the cheesecake! It will just melt in your mouth and you will smile, and you will cry and you will be thankful that you exist in the same era as the cheesecake and you will appreciate your life more. Yes, it is that good.
2. Pineapple Kakigori is refreshing. Though it is not too unique, but the taste of pineapple is soft making it a great dessert.

What could be improved 🙏
The matcha pancake was not the best mainly because it did not taste too much like a Japanese pancake but an overcooked cake. This might be someone’s favourite, unfortunately, this did not wow us. With that being said, I think the matcha here tastes great so you should try the Kakigori matcha (they ran out when we visitied the restaurant).

1. Crispy chicken even though the sauce is slathered all over.
2. Loveeeee the spicy honey chicken, it has a dominant spicy flavour with a hint of sweetness which balances the whole dish.

This is on the pricier side, but considering the portion is rather generous and the flavour is great it is still worth it!

Why you will love it ❤
1. The pad thai in White Elephant is the closest one that tastes like the one in Thailand. Sweet, sour and just the right elements. Portion is good for one, trust me, you do not want to share this one!
2. Tom yum is nice, tangy and refreshing and if you order the seafood tom yum you have plenty of choices - mussels, fish, mushroom and shrimp. Yas I want it all.
3. Friendly service.
4. Nice ambience to chill and have a nice conversation.

What could be improved 🙏
1. The peanuts were not too generous on this one and should be more crushed. I personally like my peanuts that are not too big so it can stick to the pad thai more.
2. The tom yum in White Elephant is inconsistent, when we visited it was great but I have had even better tom yum in another White Elephant branch. But even in the same branch, I think the taste may slightly differ - so albeit being great most of the time, I think if the taste were consistent would have been better.
