Walking into Selah Ristorante, I immediately felt like I had been transported to Italy. The cozy ambience truly captures the charm of a small Italian bistro—although the “small” part is quite literal. It’s a bit snug, but hey, maybe they’re just going for that authentic European vibe!
The service? Smooth and pleasant, no complaints there. The staff were attentive and made the whole experience feel welcoming, right from the start. Speaking of which, the welcome bread, served warm with olive oil and balsamic, was a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.
Now, on to the main event: the food! I decided to try their September-October specials, starting with the Burro Al Limone Pasta. The plating was beautiful, but I did notice the sauce was a bit too watery—it didn’t really cling to the pasta the way it should. If you’re not a fan of sour flavors, you might want to steer clear of this one.
Next, the Cordon Bleu Di Pollo. Everything was good, but I’d love to see them take the mashed potatoes to the next level with a creamier texture. It was a solid dish, just missing that extra bit of indulgence.
As for drinks, I had an Iced Americano, which was decent, but I feel their coffee beans would shine more in a milk-based drink. I also tried the Romance Blush, and sadly, it didn’t quite hit the mark. Has a taste of a local bottled juice that gave it a bit of an artificial taste that just didn’t fit the rest of the meal.
Finally, dessert time! I sampled two flavors of their gelato—the cheesecake and mojito. The mojito one was a winner! It had that perfect refreshing zing, though the texture leaned more toward ice cream than gelato.
Overall, I’m giving Selah Ristorante a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes, and I have a feeling that with a bit of fine-tuning, they can easily earn a higher rating next time.
