So far the best katsu I’ve tried in Jakarta. Katsutoku’s batter really differentiate it from other places imo, very well seasoned and crunchy without falling apart while not oily at all. Even their cabbage slaw tastes better than most places. For best value for money, order their lunch set that comes with soup, rice, and side dishes.

Tenderloin Katsu Set (190k) 8.5/10
Crispy outside and juicy inside. Since I dislike fattier cut, I actually prefer this over the sirloin. If it’s your first time, recommend getting the mixed lunch set so you can try both types of pork katsu.

Unagi Katsu Ala Carte (238k) 7.5/10
Not soggy at all and very crunchy. I like how thick and juciy the unagi slices were. No fishiness and soft bones as well. They also gave you 2 extra sauces (eel and tartar dipping sauces) that went well with the katsu.
