    My experience lunch at Ristorante da Valentino Jakarta

    Ristorante da Valentino Jakarta is an Italian restaurant managed by Chef Valentino. Started in July 2005 and located in a residential area along Rifle Range Road Singapore. The Restaurant relocated to its current location, The Grandstand, in July 2012. In Jakarta Ristorante Da Valentino operating since 2015 and located at 11st floor of MD Place at the same building with AB Steak Jakarta. Valentino restaurant Jakarta has two areas lounge and dining area which has several private rooms.

    Last week I had the opportunity to come and try some new menu at Valentino restaurant Jakarta. I came with my friend and had planned in advance of our arrival. We arrived at Valentino restaurant Jakarta during lunch hour. I suggest when you come to this restaurant better make reservations in advance especially for lunch or dinner hours.

    Previosly which makes me want to come to Valentino restaurant Jakarta is the ambience of this restaurant. They have interior concept very luxurious, classy and romantic. But besides ambience, this restaurant carrying the concept of fine dining, Ristorante da Valentino presents authentic Italian dishes.

    Private Room Ristorante da Valentino Jakarta

    If you want to hold an event with colleagues or family Ristorante da Valentino has a private room, which is very classy and beautiful. When entering into this room my eyes are fixed directly to the chandeliers. Very comfortable, they decorate this room is like a palace very warm. Red bench that shows the impression of elegance, and ornaments that decorate this room like you feel at home. Cutlery was prepared beautifully on the table.

    Jakarta View from Valentino Restaurant MD Building

    Because this restaurant is on the highest floor, so Ristorante da Valentino restaurant Jakarta has a very beautiful view. If you see the window you will see the skyscrapers and the blue sky. I think with a view like this will add a romantic impression when you are date with loved ones in this restaurant.

    The Lounge at Ristorante da Valentino Jakarta

    If you want to relax while chatting with friends Ristorante da Valentino restaurant Jakarta has a lounge which is very luxurious and comfortable. Here seat capacity varies greatly from for couple to family. This room is dominated with a touch of black color with yellow lights make you feel like home.

    Dining Room Valentino Jakarta

    Dining room at Ristorante da Valentino resturant Jakarta very luxurious and classy. I think every corner of this room is very impressive. To the dining table actually not different from in private room like cutlery and chairs. I see there are paintings painted on the wall and on the wall there are many ornaments that make this dining room more beautiful. I bet if you come here for the first time you will be amazed at the ambience and view offered by Ristorante da Valentino restaurant Jakara.

    After seeing and enjoying the ambience at this restaurant, along with the food we ordered came to our table. At that time we ordered quite a lot of food like the ala carte menu until the package menu. Want to know what the menu we eat here? Just scroll guys!

    Funghi Trifolati (IDR 95K)

    Sauteed mix mushroom with butter and garlic. Indeed from the presentation looks very ordinary food. But if you’ve eaten it you will feel the paradise of the world. It tastes very delicious if you come here do not forget to try this one menu.

    Fritto Misto (IDR 195K)

    This menu served with deep-fried calamari, prawwns, baby shrimps and fish fillet. Still with the seafood menu and this menu is presented with a very tempting taste. Although fried but spice in shrimp meat still feels with thick. And the sauce make this menu more perfect.

    Linguini Aglio Olio al Frutti di Mare (IDR 235K)

    This menu served with linguini in extra virgin olive oil, garlic and chili tossed with mix seafood. I really like this menu because it was served with condiments of my favorite seafood. The texture of pasta is also very tender and chewy coupled with mussels when eaten together feel like the world belongs to you.

    Pollo Alla Diavola (IDR 350K)

    Whole spring chicken served with baked potatoes and spicy sauce. It is no doubt all the processed meat at this restaurant is very tasty. Pieces of chicken meat are also served quite a lot on this menu and baked potatoes has the perfect taste very abundant will the spices.

    Salt Inc. [ Kelapa Gading ]

    Salt inc enak

    Kalo bicara saus telur asin memang lagi hits banget ya di Jakarta. Banyak sekali tenant yang mengkreasikan saus telur asin menjadi sajian yang sangat nikmat untuk di santap.

    Naah kali ini gw mau coba yg di sajikan oleh salt inc. menurut gw rasa nya sih enak banget yaah. Saus yang di berikan pada sajian cukup banyak, sehingga saat di hidangkan pada pembeli membuat lapar mata.

    Untuk menu gw memesan dua menu yaitu ayam saus telur asin.. saya membedakan hanya pada bagian mie dan nasi nya saja. Daging ayamnya sangat enak dan crispy banget, di tambah saus telur asin yang melimpah menambah dagig ayam terasa sangat lezzat.

    Saus telur asin ini juga sangat enak jika kita campurkan dengan nasi juga guys. Kamu harus cobaa ya!

    Iftar fasting with friend at Kaum

    From Bali to Jakarta, Kaum Restaurant Jakarta is an authentic Indonesian restaurant from the Potato Head Family. Before being in Bali and Jakarta, this restaurant has been in Hongkong. In Jakarta Kaum located at Jl. Dr. Kusuma Atmaja central of Jakarta. strategic and idyllic, this is the perfect location for the all-day neighourhood restaurant. 

    The team behind Kaum embarked on an exotic culinary expedition, travelling across the archipelago to learn about the indigenous cooking methods, exotic ingredients, and authentic flavours of Indonesia’s tribal communities. Kaum Jakarta Introduced in Hong Kong in May 2016, and this restaurant has been included in the prestigious “Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2017”. 

    That day, me and my friend had the opportunity to visit this restaurant to stay in touch and breaking the fast together. We choose Kaum Jakarta because we know that the food presented by this restaurant is Indonesian food rich in spices. And in our opinion is very suitable if breaking the fast with indonesian cuisine in the appeal of western cuisine or the other. 

    After we decided to pay a visit to Kaum Jakarta One of our friends reserved our arrival to this restaurant. As we know all the restaurants are from Potato Head Family very crowded visitors every day. Therefore we made a reservation in Kaum Jakarta a week before our arrival, especially during fasting times like this.

    From the front of Kaum Jakarta Restaurant, this restaurant shows an old but very modern house with luxurious design. Although this restaurant only has a parking lot that is not too broad but I think it can still accommodate all the cars of the visitors and of course provided valet as well.

      Yes, you are absolutely right! if you speak of this restaurant building like a dutch house building. On the terrace of this restaurant there are three long tables provided for smokers and you want to feel the wind. And the most I like is there are many plants here, makes an impression this restaurant is very concerned with the environment besides adding to the beauty of the restaurant.

    When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the staff and help to get to the table already in the reservation in advance. Kaum Restaurant Jakarta serves as a friendly and cozy space in the community to gather, exchange ideas or plan the next big thing. 

    Service here is very good, all the waiters are very friendly and they are always present swiftly if we need them. Add to the impression of this restaurant is very luxurious.

    Inside, Kaum Restaurant Jakarta is a bright, open and inviting space. The interior is clean and simple, creating the perfect setting to showcase the restaurant’s vibrant and flavourful meals. They provide a lounge area with concepts such as bar, which is where the separation between restaurant and bar room is only separated by ornament.

    By the way, at the time we made the reservation the restaurant management informed us that our time was only two hours. And they have two sessions the first from 18.00 – 20.00 and the second 20.00 – 24.00 But the session happens if the visitor is very crowded. Lucky of us, not exposed to such sessions.

    We were seated at a table for a capacity of four people, but a bit disappointing because we were given only one small table and only given four chairs at each corner of the table. We’ve asked for an explanation and want to change table to another table, but the waiter replied could not because everything is full booked. With a little bad mood we also accept, because we feel this is not an accidental mistake.

    Then we ordered food with our respective favorite. Point plus again for this restaurant is the waiters here are very professional they know how to deal with visitors well. And they are very knowledgeable about the food and very friendly of course. Although our meals quite a long time coming, But this restaurant provides a very nice complement like kolak.

    And one of the very eye catching in this restaurant in my opinion is Carving wall. When entering into this restaurant my eyes directly fixed on the wall. And in my opinion this is the best spot to take pictures at this restaurant.

    Besides the wall the most drawing attention to this restaurant is art installation which resembles the drumband players. And this will accompany you while you eat here because they can play their own musical instruments. And this art installation by Jompet Kuswidananto.

    Sate Maranggi IDR 130K 

    Seem just like ordinary satay, sate maranggi is a typical Indonesian food that is very tasty. What distinguishes Sate Maranggi with other satay is the process of soaking the meat in marinade (marination), before it is made into satay and cooked. And the more distinguishing sate maranggi from other restaurants is meat. Kaum Jakarta using wagyu meat as satay.

      If we talk about taste, the satay is very tasty the meat is very tender and juicy, And cooking seasonings perfectly seep into satay. On this menu is also provided lime and sambal soy sauce separately.

    Tumis Keciwis IDR 55K

     When I want the vegetables at the dinner table I chose this menu as an option. Usually I eat keciwis when my mama cook for me at home, and when I know this menu in this restaurant I am very happy. To taste very good I feel a lot of spices on this menu. Although it does not reduce the taste of this vegetable. So you must try this guys!

    Bebek Goreng IDR 155K

      On this menu fried duck served with quite a lot and this is a sharing menu. The menu is also served with various vegetables. When try I immediately fell in love with this menu. The duck meat is not fishy But very tender and tasty.

    Ikan Bakar Dabu-Dabu IDR 120K 

    I really like the sambal dabu dabu, But I do not really like fish actually. But because of my curiosity to the taste of this food then i tried it. Almost the same as the previous menu this fish is also rich in cooking spices. I really like the tenderness of this fish meat. When the fish is eaten with sambal dabu dabu that’s where I found the perfect taste.

    Gulai Udang Aceh IDR 85K

      I really like the shrimp If the shrimp is cooked with a dish of any menu I would definitely love it. On this menu the goulash served is very tasty tastes quite spicy but very tasty. The shrimp given very good they have peeled his skin first. I will come back to this restaurant by ordering this menu.

    Klappertaart IDR 45K

      It’s time we turn to dessert this dessert menu is a tape that has been in thepermentation. I really like this menu because it is very sweet. When we eat it our body feels warm, I do not know the ingredients in this menu acids that are felt from fermentation or alcohol. But this menu is perfect for you dessert lovers.

    Mr Ollie [ Kelapa Gading, Toko Roti ]

    My first time to try luti gendang

    Jika kamu berkunjung ke Mall artha gading, pasti nya sudah tau dong dengan yang namanya eatstreat. Eatstreat itu adalah foodcourt dengan kumpulan2 tenant terpilih yang sangat populer.

    Nah ketika saya sedang berkunjung kemari saya menemukan satu tenant dengan logo yg menurut saya unik dan lucu namanya Mr ollie.

    Mr ollie ini menjual aneka luti gendang dengan berbagai rasa. Kalau km belum tau, luti itu adalah makanan tradisional indonesia yang berasal dari anambas-kepulauan riau.

    Bentuk makanan ini menyerupai combro, namun yg membedakan adalah ini terbuat dari adonan roti dengan bahan2 premium.

    Saya telah mencoba berbagai rasa antara lain coklat, tuna hingga keju yang sangat enak sekali.

    Dan jangan lupa ya, kalo km ke mall ini mampir kesini!

    Break the fasting at AB Steakhouse

    A Spirit Within The Interior of AB Steak Jakarta.

    The room inside AB Steak Jakarta is dominant with black, red and stone color. The luminosity of the room is dim so it will bring a deep and silence nuance but still elegance and luxury.
    I saw a fire attraction on the wall behind the seat and it’s give a warm touch and become a magnificence spot in the whole room. This fire attraction was made from steam but it’s still present a spirit of fire for anyone who sees it.
    You can see the wall that full of origami of 1000 cranes to describe a hope, luck and happiness. The pillars that support this room also describing a flame with reddish lighting that blazing in accordance to the grilling process itself.
    With the beauty and artistry that is reflected in AB Steak Jakarta, I believe many people will be amazed to see the beauty of the interior. And these feelings will be in harmony with the dish to be served.
    I had a simple tour to their special room which is a place for meat storage where the dry age meat happen. In special condition the meat in this room will give a unique characteristic during aged in this room but still keep hygiene and cleanliness.
    With this excellent atmosphere and interior you guys must ask how about the food at AB Steak Jakarta? Well this is the part that we are waiting for, start from appetizers to dessert I will let you know this is the happiness are. So let’s scroll guys! 

    Tuna Yukke (IDR 95K)

      The first menu came to our table is appetizer called Tuna Yukke. The dish look beautiful because presented on the stack of stones seems like a zen style. The Tuna Yukke made from scallion, cucumber sesame sauce and seaweed in petite four so you can easily to eat in single bite. Even though the dish were quite small but in the mouth it will create a flavorful taste with sweet, sour and umami and a little smile will appear while you eat this dish.


    Corn & Cheese (IDR 135K)

      Still in the appetizer series, the staff bring us with another awesome dish and it’s called Corn & Cheese. This menu made from beef bone that split into two parts so the marrow bone appear and topped with cheese and sweet corn. How it taste? Fabulous, just use your spoon and the marrow bone melt in your mouth and it feel satisfied and addictive. The parmesan cheese and corn make it complete and suitable with the whole dish.
    Steak 

    Tartare (IDR 185K)

      While we still impressed with the previous menu, another awesome appetizer came to our table and this is Steak Tartare that made from roasted bone marrow, wagyu and toasted brioche and beautified with arugula and lotus root. The toasted brioche was easily to cut and the whole dish has a sweet and savory taste.


    Foie Gras Bibimbap (IDR 195K)

      Than we are enter to the main menu and this is Foie Gras Bibimbap. A bibimbap in a bowl served with delicious Korean sauce and a huge of Foie Gras on top make the dish look so tempting. The bibimbap taste was so good not too mention the foie gras also not fishy and melt in your mouth.

    The Six Salt

      As the American Steak House, AB Steak Jakarta provide 6 different seasoning salt to accompany your meat time here. The 6 salt are Pink Himalayan, Truffle, Kim chee, Garlic, Yuja and Sriracha. Garlic salt has the strongest aroma while Sriracha has a spicy and sour taste and the Truffle become a favorite in AB Steak Jakarta.


    The Five Sauce

      Still with your meat, you can dip it in 5 different sauce. The sauce from left to right are the roasty oil of Sesame, the spicy and pungent Habanero, a sweet and nice Bulgogi, the tangy and sharp Wasabi and flavorful of Cumi Cury. For me, I really love sesame and bulgogi while the other was impressed me too.

    Now the wait is over! We will bring you to our first experience of Dry Aged Beef Steak. Yes there are 4 different meat menu that I will show to you and all the grill process handled by different staff. Just for your information all the meat are grilled with medium rare as the standard for AB Steak Jakarta by Chef Akira Back but you can make it to be well-done as your desired. 

    200 Grams Kiwami Wagyu (IDR 350K)

      One of their staff came to our table, he brought first meat menu to us and 200 Grams of Kiwami Wagyu is ready to grilled. The marble surface with a little fat become a perfect steak with appropriate thickness when it’s grilled. And I thought this is a good starting for us to enjoy our meat time that night.
