Tea Et Al

Bicara soal teh, rasanya minuman yang satu ini mulai dilirik oleh kalangan penikmat kulineri ibukota, karenanya tak sedikit gerai yang menyajikan menu premium tea akhir-akhir ini. Salah satunya adalah Tea Et Al, berlokasi di lantai basement Plaza Indonesia, tempat ini mengkhususkan dirinya sebagai penyaji aneka minuman teh.
Designnya terbuka tanpa sekat pemisah dengan tenant-tenant yang berada disampingnya. Pemilihan furnitur minimalis namun tetap look classy dan fancy jadi keputusan yang tepat, mengingat space ruangnya tidak terlalu luas. Mereka pandai menyiasati beberapa persediaan teh dalam kotak juga botol sehingga menjadi ornamen yang cukup cantik dan elegan.
Kali ini saya memilih Umami dan Midnight in Paris. Umami merupakan teh hijau yang diberi sencha, sunflower, salendula dan buah mangga. Harumnya seger banget, hangat dan terasa lembut. Sedangkan Midnight in Paris merupakan teh hitam yang diberi rosebat, sunflower, salendula dan buah peach. Rasanya cukup pekat, harum dan elegan. Sajian aneka premium tea ini dibanderol dengan harga dibawah 50 ribuan per porsi. So sweet...

My boss came back to the office with bunch of tea selections from tea et al. I must admit that their tea is exquisite!! I tried Midnight in Paris, and it smells so good! So floral and one glass is not enough hahaha

I'm not a pro, but i love tea very much. So it's always a challenging process for me to choose the best tea flavor that can keep my mood & beat by the time i crave for ones. This one goes when i face many choices of tea, like served in Tea et al. It took me 10 mins only to find the best smell & taste of tea from their 20ish collections. Their tea came from many sources, which i guess mostly from Srilanka.
I came here unintentionally, but remember mba UrsAndNic review about this place. So i paid a visit while on Plaza Indonesia.  

Place is kinda small, looks like a tea-time-waiting because it's located in front of supermarket.
The waitress is actively offers tea sampling to customers & explain very well about the origin & the taste. So before i stepped in, i already taste their honeydew green tea & darjeeling. Honeydew green tea was gewwd, you can taste the sweet although it didn't have sugar in it. Darjeeling was ordinary, same like i taste before.
For the tea variety they have quite unique blend from Genmaicha, flower blend, fruits blend, Chinese tea, etc -with all those exotic names! Choco noir, L'Amour, frenzy berry.. Does that sound exotic enough in our ears? 

My choice was Scarlet rose. You know already what kind of blend it is. With green tea based, they mix rose & blue flower that give a bitter yet soo fragrance tea aroma.. And the taste dance in my mouth. I still remember how it smells at their first pour ?

Although it's a tea bag, the second pot still awesome as the first one. And the last cup had the depest taste. All served in a beautiful tea set that ? me. Small cookies come accompany. Oh, they have cake from Exquise Patisserie too, but i didn't taste because of my bad cough.
Overall, tea time at Tea et al was a lovely experience for my eyes! (and my tongue of course ?)

Waktu di Foodhall Plaza Indonesia, saya lihat di dekat Pan-Ya Bakery ada Tea et all ini. Mampir sebentar untuk melihat produk yang dijual akhirnya tertarik karena mbaknya sangat informatif menjelaskan produk produk tehnya dan juga memberikan tester tea. 

Saya mencoba dua tester : 

*L’Amour – Black tea with tangy hawthorn and ruby red hibiscus flower.. rasanya light warna juga tidak terlalu hitam, aroma bunganya juga memberikan sensasi menenangkan. 
*Unparalleled Interlude - Green Tea dengan campuran Superior Sencha dan juicy taste dari buah melon dan sedikit sensasi dari lemon – rasanya sedikit manis sangat menyegarkan dan terasa juga memberikan tambahan energi. 

Pilihan teh untuk tea time kali ini dari Herbal collectionnya yaitu : 

*Organic Rooibos – Herbal Tea yang terbuat dari tanaman khas dari South Africa, minuman ini Caffeine free dan sangat kaya antioksidan. Teh ini memberikan cooling sensation di tenggorokan dan juga melegakan pernafasan mirip sensasi mint tapi lebih menyegarkan. Minuman ini disajikan di tea set yang cantik dan juga ada 2 cookies yang enak untuk teman minum teh. Teh ini bisa dua kali refill. Varian tehnya memang tidak terlalu banyak, tetapi kemasannya teh yang di jual cukup bagus.

Dessert cake dari Exquise Patisserie yang terkenal enak2 seperti Pierre, Emelie, Helena, Adeline, dan favorit saya Olivier. Recommended.
