    Tteokbokki with cheese super!

    Yang membuat Tteokbokki enak bukan sausnya yang rasanya lembut, bukan ricecakenya yang kenyalnya pas, bukan fishcakenya atau kejunya yang super melimpah. Tapi kombinasi dari semua rasa yang berpadu dengan harmoni indah. Bulgoginya juga enak jamurnya generous dan rasanya lebih ke arah manis dibanding gurih. Gyeranjjimnya agak kurang, biasa banget. Mending beli menu lain aja.

    Good deal, even though not the best.

    Kalo nyari Thailand restaurant yang super enak, bukan disini memang tempatnya. Tapi kalo nyari yang good deal, pelayanan ramah dan menu macem-macem, disini bisa jadi pilihan!

    Review per menu:
    Pad thai: Oke tapi lack the extra kick dan keseluruhan rasanya kurang nendang meski tetep enak. (6.48/10)
    Pineapple fried rice: Ini super hambar, kalo ada yang bilang ini cuman nasi kuning biasa tanpa ada rasa gw akan percaya (2.04/10)
    Gurame with 3 combination sauce: Pedesnya oke, gurame crispynya pas dan cukup generous. Lebih enak lagi kalau coreandernya dibanyakkin dan sausnya ada pedesnya dikit, asemnya dikit, manisnya dikit. (7.02/10)
    Gurame with mango salad: Guramenya generous, mangganya juga banyak cuman secara keseluruhan kurang berasa semua bumbunya (6.68/10)
    Thai Grilled Beef Salad: Ini paling enak yang dipesen! Jangan shock karena banyakkan sayurnya dibanding dagingnya, tapi dagingnya juga porsinya banyak dan gede-gede. Asem sama pedesnya kombinasinya pas! (8.27/10)
    Stir Fry Sweet Beans XO Sauce: Oke, cuman nggak special. Sayur yang penting untung ada sebagai variasi makanan tapi bukan jadi alasan ke restoran ini (6.12/10)

    Gordi [ Cilandak, Kafe ]

    Why you will love it ❤
    1. Open early, suitable for brunch.
    2. Aesthetically pleasing colours.
    3. Plenty of parking space for cars.
    4. Gordi's big burger was quite good. The bun was soft, burger was juicy and the sauce fit well with the overall burger taste. Fries also deserve a shout since they were sweet and not overcooked.

    What could be improved 🙏
    1. The beef chimicurri with garlic rice was rather abysmal. The garlic taste was too dominant that the taste of the chimicurri and beef are overshadowed. Like that one kid in class that tries to outshine everyone by always participating and telling there is homework, we all know how annoying that is. Would be great if the garlic is toned down a bit so the highlight of the dish can shine brighter. The beef was a bit difficult to chew but the chimicurri was quite lovely. Would be interesting if this dish is paired with fries as opposed to rice.
    2. Portion is quite small considering the price.

    Flip Burger [ Tebet, Barat ]

    LOVE. The burgers. Fries could use improvement though.

    1. JUICY BURGER. That burger is super good, and the bun to burger ratio is quite generous in burger. Plus point: no veggies, that way you will truly enjoy the taste of the burger without vegetables trying to ruin the moment. Also shout out to the buns.
    2. The special Flip Burger sauce. This will keep you at night and make you want to order the same burger the next day.
    3. The caramelized onion, yum. I prefer to order the beef burger sans cheese because this ensures I taste the sweetness of the caramelized onion.
    4. Free refill for drinks, yeay!
    5. The design of the packaging, super well-thought of and has several unique styles.

    What could be improved 🙏
    In general, the fries are good. But this one time in Kota Kasablanka I think the fries were re-fried. Did not taste fresh at all. Quite disappointing, since Flip Burger usually never disappoints.

    Fook Yew [ Thamrin, China ]

    Sweet and sour crispy chicken is my fave!

    Why you will love it ❤
    1. Chicken & prawn sheng jiao bao is super good. The broth is rich in flavour making the dish extra enjoyable.
    2. Ni chang sweet and sour crispy chicken is that reliable friend who is always there for you but is always up for adventure. Like a person who is a home and an adventure both at the same time.
    3. Ambience of Fook Yew is nice, always enjoyable no matter how many times you visit.
    4. Plenty of seats available.

    What could be improved 🙏
    1. During my visit here crispy salted egg golden corn was a tad bit more oily than usual. It was good, but with great taste comes great responsibility (and great expectations). Consistency of dish taste in this particular branch should be maintained.
    2. Braised shredded chicken hot & sour soup was quite average tasting. Not the best but also not the worst.
    3. Classic Wo Tie was not my cup of tea. Skin was too thick and taste rather bland.

    Selow The BBQ Artisans [ Lebak Bulus, Jepang ]

    Reasons to love ❤
    1. The first thing that will welcome you is the smell, the whole restaurant smelled heavenly! Raises your expectations a bit though.
    2. Price is not too expensive for barbequed meat (though the portion is small).

    Reasons to nyinyir 👎
    1. The brisket was very dry and the sauce did not elevate the dish. Quite a shame because this dish could potentially be good.
    2. The sauce itself... Was disappointing. The overly fatty meat can be overlooked if it had great sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce lacked the depth of a barbecue sauce. If they said it was a store-bought sauce, I would believe it. But then again, for barbeque meal under 60K it would be better to manage your expectations.
    3. Service was super slow. Order took 45 minutes to come out and there was not that many guests/ojek online drivers. Could be improved, they should not forget to note their orders.

    1. I like the pearl, grass jelly and red bean combo. Quite sweet without it being too sweet.
    2. The best part of this dish is the mochi which brings a chewy sweet texture that goes well together.

    What could be improved 🙏
    1. Personally, I do not care for the peanuts so much.
    2. Without special promo, this would be rather pricey for a dessert. Good. But you do not get what you pay for, there are better dessert alternative with a cheaper price.

    1. Get the green tea dough! You probably think it is weird at first. What. Green tea on my pizza? But the taste is actually very pleasant with a slight hint of sweetness you do not get in other kind of pizza.
    2. The dough itself is beautifully crafted. Not too thick and not too thin, just right.
    3. Good service and ambience is quite nice.

    What could be improved 🙏
    Initially came to try the chicago pizza but turns out it was rather pricey and we were not too hungry. Ended up getting the green tea dough, it was quite good value for my dough. Next time perhaps would try the chicago pizza though. Hey, look I rhymed twice in a row, okay I will stop and end this show.

    Service? Biasa cenderung nggak friendly (untuk restoran di Senopati harusnya servicenya lebih friendly). Dim sum? Biasa. Harga? Biasa. Ambience? Slightly above average, tipe restoran yang orang akan seneng karena slightly a e s t h e t i c. Tapi dalam setiap restoran pasti ada menu terenaknya yang outshines everything. Yes, salted egg onde-onde yang menurut gw one of the best dim sums, though overall this restaurant is just a meh. Nothing interesting. Will come back, but only for the salted egg onde-onde.

    Reasons to love ❤: (1) The garlic sauce is lovely! Super good. (2) Generous filling with all kinds of vegetables (3) Falafel is quite good, one of the best. Might have to come back to try the rest of the menu to be sure if I like this place or not.

    Reasons to nyinyir 👎: (1) Sorry, but what kind of bread is this? Not the best, could use improvement. (2) The one in Sudirman does not have lamb, only chicken :') (3) I thought it would be served warm. Turns out it's cold. (4) Slow serving time when I visited, for the chicken menu it can be up to 30 minutes waiting time. Cukup jodoh saja ya nunggunya agak lama, makanan jangan. (5) Small place for eating so not the kind of place you can eat and chill for a while.
