Saat orang bilang ini takoyaki terenak di Jakarta gw sempet ngira oh ya, masa sih? Tapi ternyata memang bener. Pantes aja Naruto Takoyaki dapet sebutan itu, best takoyaki in town. Hands down.

Well, that was cheesy joke wasn't it? Fix ini pizza terenak di Jakarta Selatan sih. Vibe restonya asik tapi nggak sok asik. Toppingnya generous. Pizza crustnya ala New York pizza, I nggak ketebelan dan nggak crunchy, pas banget semuanya. Pizza place has earned a place in my heart!

Why you will love it ❤
1. The pad thai is super good. I think it has the right balance of fish sauce and sourness to it. Plus all the ingredients are very well-proportioned. You got the crunchiness from the beansprouts, tanginess from the lime, peanut for texture and chilli for spiciness. Portion is small, this is more suitable for a personal portion. Must-try in White Elephant, they have perfected the pad thai.
2. Another reason you will love White Elephant is the fish cake. Though one portion only has three pieces, which means you can and should order more.
3. The tom yum has the right balance of tanginess and spiciness, although could use more cilantro in my opinion.

What could be improved 🙏
Thai tea could taste more authentic, also try switching to stainless straws. The furniture and overall ambience could be better, somehow it is dark here even though the candle helps. Quite ironic because White Elephant is a ray of sunshine. But honestly this is one of my favourite restaurants. White Elephant is truly a gem.

Why you will love it ❤
1. Sexyback rib was extra smokey in flavour, yas girl.
2. Mac serati is super gooey and cheesey, might be one of the reasons I go back to Byurger.
3. The place has a super cute interior. While you wait for your burger, take a few selfies here and there *insert quote that has nothing to do with the picture*.
4. Strategic location and open until midnight on friday & saturday.

What could be improved 🙏
1. Sexyback rib's sauce was just a bit meh... I think when it comes to a barbecue burger the glue of it all is the sauce. Could be improved.
2. The ribs in sexyback rib's would be better if it were shredded and pulled, that way you get maximum opportunity for the meat to absorb the sauce (please consider this, or at least make a new menu for pulled beef).
3. The caramelized onion in Uncle Phil burger was not too dominant and was lost in the overall taste of the burger.

Why you will love it ❤
1. I think the portion is just right, not too much that it makes you overwhelmingly full or still hungry after a meal.
2. The menu has lots of varieties, you will be spoiled with options.
2. Salmon teriyaki donburi is simple in taste which allows the teriyaki sauce to shine as the main element of the dish. Genuinely enjoyed the dish!
3. Beef curry cheese is more of the trendy hip sister with mozarella on top. Every element added something beautiful to the dish. The salad was refreshing and the cheese went quite well with the curry. Though this one may be too much if you like your dish simple.

What could be improved 🙏
The place is not too big, so it can get quite full but that is a testimony to how good the place is.

Why you will love it ❤
1. The sweet and sour crispy chicken is what dreams are made of. It's sweet and sour has just the perfect balance and chicken cooked to perfection, crispy but still maintaining good texture of chicken.
2. Crispy salted egg golden corn is superbbb. Love. The taste of salted egg compliments well with the crispy golden corn and it's sweet and savoury flavour profile will sure please your taste buds.
3. Love the hakau! Ha kau special fook yew for me was good but the taste of the original ha kau itself is lost so I prefer the OG one.
4. Love the ambience, very aesthetic yet somehow comforting and not pretentious.
5. Great service.

What could be improved 🙏
1. Not a big fan of the xiao long pau, broth lacked flavour and the skin was very vulnerable. One wrong touch and the broth seemed to be gone.
2. Cheong fun go hiong might not be for everyone, the strong anise star (?) might be a bit overwhelming for some.
3. I love the branch in Gandaria City, but the branch in GI somehow sometimes is not up to par in terms of food served. Different branches, somewhat different food.

Kalo nyari Thailand restaurant yang super enak, bukan disini memang tempatnya. Tapi kalo nyari yang good deal, pelayanan ramah dan menu macem-macem, disini bisa jadi pilihan!

Review per menu:
Pad thai: Oke tapi lack the extra kick dan keseluruhan rasanya kurang nendang meski tetep enak. (6.48/10)
Pineapple fried rice: Ini super hambar, kalo ada yang bilang ini cuman nasi kuning biasa tanpa ada rasa gw akan percaya (2.04/10)
Gurame with 3 combination sauce: Pedesnya oke, gurame crispynya pas dan cukup generous. Lebih enak lagi kalau coreandernya dibanyakkin dan sausnya ada pedesnya dikit, asemnya dikit, manisnya dikit. (7.02/10)
Gurame with mango salad: Guramenya generous, mangganya juga banyak cuman secara keseluruhan kurang berasa semua bumbunya (6.68/10)
Thai Grilled Beef Salad: Ini paling enak yang dipesen! Jangan shock karena banyakkan sayurnya dibanding dagingnya, tapi dagingnya juga porsinya banyak dan gede-gede. Asem sama pedesnya kombinasinya pas! (8.27/10)
Stir Fry Sweet Beans XO Sauce: Oke, cuman nggak special. Sayur yang penting untung ada sebagai variasi makanan tapi bukan jadi alasan ke restoran ini (6.12/10)

Why you will love it ❤
1. JUICY BURGER. That burger is super good, and the bun to burger ratio is quite generous in burger. Plus point: no veggies, that way you will truly enjoy the taste of the burger without vegetables trying to ruin the moment. Also shout out to the buns.
2. The special Flip Burger sauce. This will keep you at night and make you want to order the same burger the next day.
3. The caramelized onion, yum. I prefer to order the beef burger sans cheese because this ensures I taste the sweetness of the caramelized onion.
4. Free refill for drinks, yeay!
5. The design of the packaging, super well-thought of and has several unique styles.

What could be improved 🙏
In general, the fries are good. But this one time in Kota Kasablanka I think the fries were re-fried. Did not taste fresh at all. Quite disappointing, since Flip Burger usually never disappoints.

Why you will love it ❤
1. Chicken & prawn sheng jiao bao is super good. The broth is rich in flavour making the dish extra enjoyable.
2. Ni chang sweet and sour crispy chicken is that reliable friend who is always there for you but is always up for adventure. Like a person who is a home and an adventure both at the same time.
3. Ambience of Fook Yew is nice, always enjoyable no matter how many times you visit.
4. Plenty of seats available.

What could be improved 🙏
1. During my visit here crispy salted egg golden corn was a tad bit more oily than usual. It was good, but with great taste comes great responsibility (and great expectations). Consistency of dish taste in this particular branch should be maintained.
2. Braised shredded chicken hot & sour soup was quite average tasting. Not the best but also not the worst.
3. Classic Wo Tie was not my cup of tea. Skin was too thick and taste rather bland.
