Bakmi Ayam Lili [ Tanjung Duren, China ]

    Tasty!

Bakmi Ayam Lili is one of the best noodles I've ever tasted. What's different about this noodles is that the taste of its salty and tasty seasoning absorbed well to the noodles itself, that the broth on the side wasn't really necessary there to add taste to the noodles, but only to give you more water if you like it soaked rather than dry. We ordered Bakmi Kecil Babi Reguler (Rp.25.000), Bakmi Kecil Babi Jumbo (Rp.38.000), Es Jeruk (Rp.14.000), Liang Teh (Rp.5.000), Pangsit Goreng (Rp.4.000) and Bakso Goreng (Rp.14.000). It was delicious! And we were really full after this. Their Bakso Goreng was quite yummy too, btw. A little bit less meat, but for Rp.14.000 for 3, were quite okay.

Puyo Silky Desserts [ Slipi, Puding ]

    Smooth

Puyo was one of my favorite choice to alternate jelly-ish dessert. It was smooth, and the taste was delicious too. I've tried almost all of the taste and for now, I'm trying the drinks. Citrus Yakult with Mango Puyo (you can choose whatever taste of Puyo you'll like for the pudding) for Rp.23.000. It was so refreshing. I mean, citrus and yakult combined with mango pudding? How's that not refreshing, right? It wasn't so sweet, but sweet enough to balance the sour. Slurpp away!

Menu yang dipesan: citrus yakult mango

Harga per orang: < Rp. 50.000

Magnum Cafe [ Thamrin, Kafe ]

    For the sweet tooth

Magnum Cafe was so hyped few years ago. Initially popular for selling dessert with Magnum Ice Cream. For me, the taste was too sweet for most of the menus. But overall it was creamy, and delicious. Tried the grand gaufre, it was quite sweet, but the waffle was delicious.

They provide you with huge amount of variation and if my memory isn't wrong, Magnum Cafe was among the first of dessert cafes that are popular in Jakarta. Now we can see people selling dessert almost everywhere. With dry ice, with cute toppings, with a pan, and such. Doing food business in Indonesia is amazing, btw. Most Indonesian, especially the youngster, love to eat outside, love to try new things. Compared with people in Germany, for example, who preferred a home-cooked meal.

    Seruput [ Thamrin, Indonesia ]

    Not Bad

The seat that I had was not that comfortable, since it's a little round table, connected to each other. Their smoking room is actually inside, which I found rather odd. Their soto ayam is refreshing, it's quite zesty, but I like bold taste. The asinan taste's authentic. They made the sauce with not too much peanut essence. Nasi goreng kambing has unique taste, but not in a way that you're gonna come back to eat it again. Nothing special about the kue cubit, but the pindang soup is nice.

Menu yang dipesan: Soto Ayam, Asinan, Nasi Goreng Kambing, Kue cubit

Harga per orang: < Rp. 50.000

    Martabak Pecenongan 43 [ Pecenongan, Indonesia ]

    So Very Yummy!

If you ever come here, try the Toblerone. It was so juicy, yes oily and buttery (which is fat btw, I warned you already), filled with melted chocolate goodness inside. Oh my God. So mouth-watering, even when I'm just describing it right now. It's quite pricey, but considering you can eat it with few companies plus the taste was amazing, worth your every Rupiahs. Anyway, we usually hang across the street and ordered fresh orange juice (which was expensive too, a lil bit confusing for me lol). Nom nom nom :)

    J.CO Donuts & Coffee [ Gading Serpong, Kafe ]

    Fresh and yummy

J-cool, compared to others, is more affordable. Single froyo only cost you Rp.15.000. The texture was not that smooth and the taste is a bit sour than other froyo but overall it was quite yummy. The waiter was friendly too and their toppings are fresh. Not bad

Taco Local [ Darmawangsa, Meksiko ]

    Amazing Mexican Food!

If you're craving for some mexican food, then this is the place where you should go to. Their nachos are great and they shower you with enough guacamole and fresh salsa, just like what you could taste in Mexico. Their tacos also amazing! The meat is juicy, the best blend between bold, spice, and lemony sour. So mouth-watering.

    Menu yang dipesan: Nachos, Tacos

Harga per orang: < Rp. 50.000

    Mujigae [ Karawaci, Korea ]

    Unique Concept

Korean ramen, fried chicken, instead of bbq being on the spotlight is one of the interesting thing about Mujigae. Their ramen was okay, the broth was bold but the noodles were ordinary. The fried chicken, however, was wonderful. The sauce was extraordinary and it was quite crispy.Their drinks such as fusion tea and syrups are sweet and refreshing.

    Lau's Kopi [ Karawaci, Kafe ]

    Yummy food but gloomy place

Lau's Kopi. There's a huge gap between their quality of food and their ambience and service. For food itself, Lau's Kopitiam made delicious dishes. We ordered Nasi Lemak (Rp.32.000), Kaya Toast (Rp.26.300), Jus Timun Aceh (Rp.18.000), and Sirsak Squash (Rp.18.000). Their Nasi Lemak was delicious, the 'sambal terasi' was really good. Peanut, chicken, sambal, teri, and keripik made a really good balance. The Kaya Toast was good too, the bread was big and soft while the outer part was toasted with enough salted butter. The Sirsak Squash was surprisingly pleasant. Right amount of soda and juice, you'll feel happy to drink it till the end. So does the Timun Aceh Juice. The thing that I didn't really like was the ambience. The indoor area was deserted that only me and my bf ate here. There was no music (which my bf like actually lol, but I didn't), and the lamp was dimmed in white color with oldish background. I don't know, I just feel a little bit sad eating there. The waitress was not friendly and they continuously went in and out from the kitchen to the front. Thank God their food was quite delicious, because the restaurant wasn't inviting at all.

Pop Pao [ Kota Tangerang, Bakpao ]

    Cute Cute Cute!

Poppao, is like a pop-art mantao. I mean, the way they decorated it was like so cute! There's cute animals crafted on the outer layer and all in round puffy mantao. Adorable, right? I tried their Red Bean, shaped like a panda (Rp.7.500). The mantao was okay, the dough and the red bean filling was smooth. Stuff that they can fix is about the amount and placement of filling. I can hardly see it and it was not in the middle, which was a little bit awkward to see.
