Marugame is always been one of my fav udon. So this time, we tried their family's bowl which was so big! The taste were the same as eating in one bowl. But the sensation, were different. We got to take from the big wooden bowl in the middle with some kind of a giant fork which looked like a brush. Then, we put it into our own little bowl. Quite an experience!

AMBIENCE

The room was a little bit small compared to Karawaci's branch. Their signature was red sofas. Yellowish lighting.

FOOD

We ordered four of their promo's menu that day, includes two Apple Lemonade. The drinks were just refreshing! Sour and sweet at the same time with a little bit of sodas. Their Caesar Beef Fusilli was okay, not bad but not that good either. Light in taste, they use salad toppings for the sauce. Which made this pasta taste more like a salad to me. Their Tor-tel-lini soup were quite delightful. My first fork just caught its mozzarella, stretched out long enough to make me had to cut it with the spoon. Yum.

Their pizza were just delightful of course. The cheese were yummy! the dough were great and the topping is just tasty.

SERVICE

Not bad for the service. Pizza Hut was one of the restaurants that trained their servers to a standard rule like bow, use friendly tone, use uniform, one server per table, and such.

Went here because of the tempura specialty poster that posted in front. It was neat restaurant, Japanese style, with transparent glass separating the seats and their kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. The lights were quite yellowish, and the smell of fried tempura swirled amongst the room.

FOOD: 4/5

We tried their chicken rice and also their fried udon! The chicken rice were so delicious. Japanese sauce with a bit ginger that you can add on the side. Yum. Their fried udon was quite delightful on presentation. It was served on the hotplate, and this is my first time experiencing fried udon. It was quite wonderful!

First waitress that taken our order were just the worst. I'm gonna give 1.5/5 for that if she's the one who served us till the end. Impolite manner. But then, afterwards, it seemed new waitress served us and she was like the best. So friendly, always smiling, came and filled our tea without being asked, and although she looked like she ran all the time because the place was quite busy, she not once forgot what we asked and came in appropriate amount of time, with her cheerful face and humble tone. Big tips we left for her. Haha.

What I love about People's Cafe are the modern atmosphere, their food and drinks, and responsive waiters. Oh, what? That were everything? :p I dropped by to chill before I went home and I ordered Quesadillas (Rp.35.000) and Iced Coffee Mocha (Rp.35.000). First moment I sat down, I saw all the furniture and their lighting and thought, hey, smart one on providing great photographic backgrounds. I mean, if people on the social media keep on taking good picture here, a lot of crowd would be attracted to come, right? That's for the ambience. About the food, the Quesadillas was quite delicious. The chicken was tender and a bit juicy (I hope it already well-cooked), the mayo was okay, and the pickle, freshen the taste. Not a fan of the orange mayo, though. I think the taste of it was too often used in fast foods. The iced mocha was wonderful. Enough coffee and chocolate I can feel both in every sip, not too sweet too :) I'm actually planning on not having dinner for my diet today but I failed. Lol.

This is my always go-to restaurant when I want to get some udon. The udon was so delicious, and I'm talking about the udon and the soup and the sides and also, the additional sesame, soy sauce, the crispy thingy, and chopped spring onions. I ordered their Kamaage Udon (Rp.33.000), Tori Baitan Udon (Rp.40.000), Itoyori (Rp.10.000), Skewered Tofu Roll (Rp.13.000), and cold Ocha. Their Kamaage Udon was delicious, and the way we had to eat it was quite authentic too. We had to dip it in another bowl of soup and we can add more sesame, ginger, and others. The Tori Baitan Udon, you gotta try it. It was my 3rd time ordering this, since I wanted to try new menu other than Curry and Niku, and the broth was amazing. Chicken broth that was bold enough in taste and aroma, accompanied with additional crisp, spring onion, and sesame. Yum! The Itoyori was a little bit to fishy if you it eat alone, though. Skewered Tofu Roll, chewy and yummy!

Sushi Tei, the first thing that comes in mind to have regular sushi. Provide great quality of sushi and other Japanese food and you can find them in most of malls in Jakarta. This time I tried their Wakame Salad with Sushi Tei dressing, lots and lots of sushi, Baked Salmon, Tempura Bento, Edamame, and some kind of okonamiyaki with beef. It was my bf's sister birthday, so a feast was in order. The Wakame Salad was just wonderful. It was fresh and healthy, and the wakame was a great mix to a salad with its zesty, creamy, veggies dressing. Their sushi, well, mostly I always love Sushi Tei's sushi. The new thing that's quite new was the okonomiyaki thing. It's quite salty, they surely used Japanese soya sauce for that, the beef was okay, and so the egg. Their baked salmon bento was delicious, the salmon was well-cooked until it was so tender. The tempura was lovely as well. Crispy with soya sauce. My belly was happy.

Popolamama recently just opened in numbers of malls in Jakarta. They specialize in Pasta, and they're kinda good at it. What's different about the pasta is that they used soy as one of the ingredient. And applause for the way they cooked it, the spaghetti was so pleasantly cooked. The one I ordered, they put seaweed on top, which was yummy. Fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine, not a bad idea :)

I tried their Ovaltine machiato is surprisingly delightful. I think it's because of the cream. They put this yummy cream on top, it is not a whipped cream (since whip cream can't diffuse perfectly), but more like a liquid cream and it actually accessories the drinks! Yum.

This place is a restaurant which serve you with waffles, pancakes, and pasta. I love to eat their pasta, it's delightful and they cooked it pretty well. The one on the picture is pasta with blue cheese. It's a little bit too creamy and cheesy, so it's a good idea if you eat this with someone else and order something else on the side. It's a lil bit pricey but it's delicious.

We order their Regal Milk. We asked to add a very little sugar and they did! Finally, Mom Milk is not too sweet! Their Regal Milk is one of my addiction, and I've been making one at home as well. It's so yummy. The way they blend the milk and the flavor is kinda balanced, so not one overpowers the other.
