For a pricey meal, I expected outstanding taste to match its price. But nothing too wow for the taste, and the salad, it was fresh actually, but they charged you more than what you should pay for that kind of salad. The meat's texture and taste were okay. The portion was quite big too. The place was okay, waitress was nice.

I saw lots of people eating this kind of Taiyaki with ice cream on top. I was curious about it so I dropped by. This Taiyaki was filled with some kind of cream-filling, rather than ice cream. I tried their Green Tea (Rp.27.500), and it was kind of yummy! The outer part similar to pastries such as croissant, with sugar. I was in love at the first bite. The filling was not so pleasant, unfortunately. Not because of the taste of texture, but I expect to have ice cream, but turned out it was just cream. Plus it bursted out so easily since it was more like liquid than ice that it was a little bit inconvenient for us to eat with using only mouth and hand.

Spicy BBQ and Mayo Karage plus Iced Tea (Rp.36.000) and also Fried Mushroom (Rp.10.000). Yes, for only Rp.46.000 we got two delicious meals! And not just so-so in taste, the Spicy BBQ and Mayo Karage was very delicious! Sipped in the Miso Soup, then landed my first bite on the chicken. You can taste there's honey and ginger on those juicy chicken, accompanied by yummy a-bit-sticky rice-like with a bit of seaweed on on top, don't forget that you can pour with more honey glaze on top since they provided you with more sauce on the side. It was very delicious and worth your every Rupiahs. And the mushroom, I mean, who else sells good fried mushroom with only Rp.10.000? The service was fast, and the ambience was okay.

Shihlin is one of my favorite snacks. It's my always go-to when I and my bf need some salty small bites. What do I love about it? Let's start with the chicken. Chicken, compared to bread/cakes/ice cream is lower in calories and fat and is the source of protein. Now about the way they fried it and the amount of serving, it's always good to share this snacks with others. The taste, you can choose between original, BBQ, and seaweed. For me, I love their original (Rp.35.000). BBQ is delicious too, not so much in love with the seaweed. The skin. Crunchy and tasty. So very yummy! I've tried their Mee Sua and Seafood Tempura. It was okay. Their sweet potato and fried tempura are wonderful, too.

Freeze is an ice cream processed with dry ice. I tried their Son of a B (Rp.64.000), which was the combination of Baileys and vanilla with cookies crumble on top. I know, what a name right? Lol. It was quite pricey actually. But considering they used Baileys and for this one (in comparison, other regular menus priced for Rp.43.000) makes quite sense. The texture and taste was okay. You can taste the Baileys but it was not too strong (which was good for me since I get red so easily), the cookie crumbles were delicious too. One minus point was the ice cream melt quite fast.

Bakmi Ayam Lili is one of the best noodles I've ever tasted. What's different about this noodles is that the taste of its salty and tasty seasoning absorbed well to the noodles itself, that the broth on the side wasn't really necessary there to add taste to the noodles, but only to give you more water if you like it soaked rather than dry. We ordered Bakmi Kecil Babi Reguler (Rp.25.000), Bakmi Kecil Babi Jumbo (Rp.38.000), Es Jeruk (Rp.14.000), Liang Teh (Rp.5.000), Pangsit Goreng (Rp.4.000) and Bakso Goreng (Rp.14.000). It was delicious! And we were really full after this. Their Bakso Goreng was quite yummy too, btw. A little bit less meat, but for Rp.14.000 for 3, were quite okay.

Puyo was one of my favorite choice to alternate jelly-ish dessert. It was smooth, and the taste was delicious too. I've tried almost all of the taste and for now, I'm trying the drinks. Citrus Yakult with Mango Puyo (you can choose whatever taste of Puyo you'll like for the pudding) for Rp.23.000. It was so refreshing. I mean, citrus and yakult combined with mango pudding? How's that not refreshing, right? It wasn't so sweet, but sweet enough to balance the sour. Slurpp away!

Magnum Cafe was so hyped few years ago. Initially popular for selling dessert with Magnum Ice Cream. For me, the taste was too sweet for most of the menus. But overall it was creamy, and delicious. Tried the grand gaufre, it was quite sweet, but the waffle was delicious.

They provide you with huge amount of variation and if my memory isn't wrong, Magnum Cafe was among the first of dessert cafes that are popular in Jakarta. Now we can see people selling dessert almost everywhere. With dry ice, with cute toppings, with a pan, and such. Doing food business in Indonesia is amazing, btw. Most Indonesian, especially the youngster, love to eat outside, love to try new things. Compared with people in Germany, for example, who preferred a home-cooked meal.

The seat that I had was not that comfortable, since it's a little round table, connected to each other. Their smoking room is actually inside, which I found rather odd. Their soto ayam is refreshing, it's quite zesty, but I like bold taste. The asinan taste's authentic. They made the sauce with not too much peanut essence. Nasi goreng kambing has unique taste, but not in a way that you're gonna come back to eat it again. Nothing special about the kue cubit, but the pindang soup is nice.

If you ever come here, try the Toblerone. It was so juicy, yes oily and buttery (which is fat btw, I warned you already), filled with melted chocolate goodness inside. Oh my God. So mouth-watering, even when I'm just describing it right now. It's quite pricey, but considering you can eat it with few companies plus the taste was amazing, worth your every Rupiahs. Anyway, we usually hang across the street and ordered fresh orange juice (which was expensive too, a lil bit confusing for me lol). Nom nom nom :)
