Last Wednesday I got a chance to visit one of Jun Njan Group newly opened restaurant, Hei Kopi.
The concept of this restaurant itself is fusion of Singaporean and Malaysian dish.
The restaurant interior and menu are both unique and eye catching.
Kopitiam Milk Bun, Condensed Milk - Rp 22.000
This classic milk bun with condensed milk is hard to get wrong and Hei Kopi does a good job.
The bun is so fluffy and soft. With margarine on top and condensed milk, this milk bun is a perfect combination with a cup of coffee or teh tarik.
Toast Cube single Panda Dip - Rp 22.000
The toast was fluffy and soft in the inside and a bit crispy on the outside.
The problem was only the pandan dip. It tastes okay but it smells like chemical food for me thus I can't enjoy the food fully. But beside pandan dip there are gula malaka and coffee toffee dip as well.
Stir-fry Kwetiau Belacan - Rp 48.000
This dish is decent but maybe because of the belacan taste it was too salty for me.
The portion was quite small but quite enough for me.
Thai Crispy Chicken Hainan Rice - Rp 55.000
Recommended for all of you guys new to this place.
The Hainan rice was very fragrance and the crispy chicken was so crispy yet tender. The sauce really compliment the dish.
Barley Drink - Rp 25.000
The drink was good, it was not too sweet yet not too bland. They also gave me generous amount of barley.
Salted Peanut Butter Kopi - Rp 25.000
Taste okay but can't taste the peanut butter. I scoop the foam on top and found bits of peanut butter jam but I can't really taste the peanut butter itself in the kopi.
Overall, it was quite an experience visiting this place and I will definitely come back to order other delicious meal.Â
