Not for a million years, i would give out 5 stars as i am such a picky eater. Shabu on yasai totally won it! Not only it tasted so good, but it’s also affordable. Their beef was good- like normal usual meat. Their side dishes were all tasted very good, surprisingly.
Nyobain di event perkul, dan benar2 hepi karna belum antri. Benar2 enak banget rasanya. Mereka jual siomay ayam udang dan baso goreng ayam. Mereka digoreng on the spot jadi masih anget2 makannya. Gak amis dan bener2 seenak itu. Dicocol saus sambal yang agak pedas dikit, mantap jiwa. Kata yang punya, dia akan buka di kelapa gading, jadi beneran ditunggu banget.
There was no word to describe how mighty my meal was. It was so satisfying as the beef melted in our mouth. Literally. Seriously. Melted.
Forget other shabu-shabu outlets, this is the place to be. Good service, good food and good vibe.
We ordered their Premium Japanese Beef Tasting Menu; which consists of:
A4 kagoshima sirloin
A4 kagoshima ribeye
A5 kagoshima sirloin
A5 kagoshima ribeye
A5 hida sirloin
A5 hida ribeye
Priced at IDR 1.850.000++ per pax
Their beef quality was super good and it only needed 10 seconds until it is cooked thoroughly.
They have several sauce but my personal favourite was ponzu sauce with garlic and spring onion. It tasted pretty light and complimented the beef perfectly. It did not over-powering the mighty meat.
Please bear in mind that they imported everything. The beef from Japan and their sauce and noodle from Singapore. That's why it was quite pricey, but totally worth it. As the starter, we have salad with special dressing and it was such a delightful meal to start our scrumptous lunch; all that by overlooking Jakarta's view.
Their chawanmushi was not eggy nor fishy. Its texture was silky.
When the broth was boiling, you gotta dip the beef for a while.
Let me tell you something about the broth, it tasted so good!!
After you're done with your beef (6 large sliced), you would have noodle and vegetable with the super good and non-msg broth.
As i thought we're done, we were spoilt again with their dessert: apple cinnamon cherry ice cream, yuzu jelly, ogura and warabi mochi.
It was so good. I personally loved their yuzu jelly. It was a little sour but cleanse your palate after the most satisfying shabu-shabu meal.
What i also loved the most was their clever way to change our glass whenever we almost finished our drink. I was quite surprised because even in other dine dining restaurants, we didn't get that kind of service. Plus, we didn't have to ask them to change it. They truly paid attention.
Loved this branch much! It was super clean and the baristas were so informative.
This branch is located next to vimalla hills and i know for sure that this branch was the cleanest branch ever. Perhaps not so many people came here and stayed for long, but maybe because the baristas always cleaned it up every once in a while.

When in doubt, come to saladstop. Ordered their pumpkin soup and their hail caesar wrap. Their pumpkin soup was so yum. Could taste the goodness of the real pumpkin, yum and fresh. Their wrap, i ordered it without egg, and they offered chickpea as the replacement. Fully informed that it was a great source of protein and a good substitute of egg. It was fresh, yet crispy on the outside. Was great.
Pas banget lewat sini dan gak gitu antri. Mereka parkir dengan valet, yah jadi agak maksa kita mesti bayar 30ribu utk parkir di sana. Kita cobain platter 3 dan 2, dengan kale salad, goma salad, mashed potato, sautéed mushroom, and gratin. Kita pilih grilled chicken, enakk! Dia bumbunya meresap ke dalam, and karna kepo dengan rada original and hcc chicken, kita pesan juga ala carte (25k per piece). Hcc chicken kurang enak ternyata dibanding grilled chicken. Selamat mencoba!
Berawal untuk mendukung industri kopi kita, eh akhirnya malah doyan banget dan selalu repeat order. Pesan kopsus dengan 50% gula dan 0%, dan menurutku yg 50% uda pas banget. Rasa kopinya berasa banget tapi tetep creamy. Wajib dicoba.
The ambience was so pretty and i bet it could cater any events. The decoration was so minimum but chic. Service was great as well.
Their asparagus dish with caramelised onion and grated cheese was another bomb. Definitely a healthy dish if you're concerned about your food intake and safe for vegan as well.
The asparagus was still crunchy, sauce was tasty, caramelised onion introduced the sweet flavour and the cheese gave another level of tasty and salty to the dish. I bet the chef really think it through before he put it up to the menu. Such a humble dish with tasty flavour. Love how Gastromaquia stay true and let the food to speak for them.
Their seafood paella used prawn bisque and took 40-45 minutes to cook. It worth your waiting time. The rice was still crunchy, just the way it should be.
If you've been to Spain, you would know the dish in Gastromaquia was super authentic.
One thing that i'd like more is the crust. It didn't spread out evenly. But then again, it was really minor.
The squid with potato foam was phenomenal. The squid was tender and the potato foam (as i thought it was cheese, since it got the cheesy flavour) elevated the whole dish.
Their summer green mocktail was the winner. Again, if you'd like to start a healthy and vegan lifestyle, this beverage suits you. It got kale and pineapple, but it tasted really fresh and fantastic.
Their classic lemonade was the best by far. Sweet, sour and tangy from real lemon. Great to conquer the heat in the city.
Their cheese cake was super moist and rich of cream cheese. It's really intense, in a good way. My advice is to share it with a friend or have it with a cup of coffee.
Their white chocolate mousse was a bit runny but taste-wise was great. Light dessert after the cheese cake.
Irish cream sponge cake was phenomenal. It was moist and light and i would recommend you to have it for your tea time.
Their mojito sorbet with bacardi shot was so unique and definitely needed an acquired taste. The sorbet itself was good and refreshing. Although, i must say, it's not my cup of tea. Thus you want to try it with the shot, would recommend you to pour only half as the bacardi was strong and could overpowered the sorbet.
