Akira Back Indonesia

Udah ngumpulin lama banget nih hasrat buat cobain Akira Back krna lumayan mahal juga untuk skali makan disini. Well, first time makan disini bener2 ga ngecewain sama skali dan sesuai expektasi! Aku pesen 2 menu : salmon pizza nya of course, dan 600gr tomahawk with bone and baby corn. Aku kira porsinya sedikit, ternyata buat berdua itu lumayan kenyang loh. Buat pizza salmonnya sih endulita banget, juara, TOP, ga ada yg ngalahin! Kalo bisa sih mau nya 1 porsi buat sendiri, karena enak banget. Rasa crispy pizza nya dan salmon yg asin gurih itu jadi satu smua melted di mulut!! Dan tomahawk nya enak banget, ga keras dan gmpang dikunyah. Jadi tomahawk ini perpaduan antara tenderloin dan sirloin, jadi cocok bangey buat sharing buat kamu2 yg tim pecinta lemak dan non lemak. Hehehehe. For sure bakal balik lagi sih! (Of course nabung dulu hihi)

Having lunch in here and this is definitely the best lunch package ever, especially in Jakarta and Akira Back itself. Akira back is one of the best in terms of place and ambience - it's neat, executive and elegant in the same time. And definitely well-known in terms of delicious food, pretty presentation and of course expensive 

The service is the best, all served very well and attentive. Place is great, so for the price -- the lunch package starting price is 195,000 pp incl the starter, mains and dessert. And the quality is still on, so it's totally worth it. Let's start!

For the starter, I choose:
MAGURO TATAKI with roasted corn salad, cucumber jalapeno sauce and habanero oil. So pretty in presentation yet so yummy! Really fresh from that sauce itself and the corn give extra texture on it! (8/10) 

BULGOGI TACOS - wagyu chuck tender, kongbap, sous vide onion. This one is really good. The beef is tender and love that crunchy tacos! What a great starter! (9/10) 

For the mains, I choose:
TEPPAN CHICKEN BREAST with mixed mushroom and kochujang butter sauce. It's good but I'm not a fan of it but my friend like it somuch. So, she finish it up by herself. I think it's based on tastebud (7/10)
SEASONAL WHITEFISH with mussels, hiratai udon and ponzu butter sauce - the winner main course of today (for me!), the unique combination of each elements are soooo delicious. Love the idea of using udon - balance and that butter sauce is super rich without overpowered the overall dish! The plus point again the whitefish is not fishy at all! (10/10) 

And for the dessert, I'm trying both menu:
BLOOD ORANGE GRANITE - red plum carpaccio, campari foam and pomegranate Soooo refreshing, sour - sweet - a hint of bitter. It's really clean my palate in a good way! (10/10)
LAYERED GREEN TEA MOUSSE CAKE - black sesame sponge, litchi sherbet, sesame tuile. Calling for all the greentea's lover, not too sweet but rich at the same time. Personally love this dessert! (9/10)

And I also ordered their best seller and winning dish (apart from the lunch package) - TUNA PIZZA (235K) with umami aioli micro shiso and truffle oil. OMG THIS IS A MUST ORDER MENU, totally! This is the definiton of food come from heaven, srsly! I'm not a fan of tuna because it's too fishy but in here, you could taste the freshness and 2 thumbs up for this dish! And that thin crust omg loveit! It's worth the price! (10/10) 

For the drinks, I ordered:
LEMON DROP KIWI - so basically it's mocktail mix of lemon, soda and kiwi topped with lime sorbet. So refreshing esp. after eating all those food (8/10)

LA PASSION - another special mocktail made of honeydew, passionfruit, orange juice and lemongrass. Definitely love the combination! I order it twice lol (10/10)

Tuna pizza nya juara banget. Tp menu yg laen sih biasa aja. Beberapa kali kesini dan coba berbagai menu yg lain, tetep cm tuna pizza nya yg selalu di hati ❤️

Salah satu restoran yg point nya tinggi ya si Akiraback ini.
Jdinya penasaran utk cobain, terutama cobain tuna pizza nya.
Dan emang sih tuna pizza nya enak. Dan cukup bikin nagih.
Selebihnya dr menu2 yg aku pesen, biasa aja.
Sushinya enak tp ga bs dibilang enakkk bgt.
Trus beefnya jg malah kurang suka.

Utk service sih emang ok, makanan nya dtg cepet dan pelayan nya super ramah.

tekstur daging ikan nya lembut didalam tapi luarnya crispy sausnya creamy dengan perpaduan rasa sedikit asam dan umami, bumbunya juga meresep ke daging ikannya dilengkapi juga dengan jamur yang kenyal. 👍 Aku juga nambah truffle mash potato nya (90k++) kentangnya lembut banget truffle nya berasanya di aftertastenya 😋 yang wajib dipesen disini sih tuna pizza nya!!! ❤️ daging tuna nya seger dan crust rotinya juga crispy 👌🏻 pelayanan nya juga ramah banget dan cepet! 💸230k++ ⭐️4.8/5 ig: @makanajayuk

Read some reviews about this restaurant and how they just won Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Jakarta. Well they deserve this !
Ambience : i love their ambience, the decoration is not too much and keep it classy and showing that "they're fine dining restaurant"
Food : I'm in love with their Eringi Pizza and more in love when i found out this is vegetarian pizza! Another highlight is "brother from another mother" unique name with a richness of flavors. Unagi with eel sauce is no kidding !
Overall this restaurant deserve to be one of the most eat restaurant in your list

It’s my second visit to Akira Back after awhile. The service and food quality is still consistently great. A group of us ordered:

• Tuna Pizza & Eringi Pizza
Both are equally delicious and perfect appetizers

• AB Tacos
All my friends loved this, but as I’m not a big fans of beef, I find the beef flavor to be quite bold

• Crispy Rice
With Cajun Tuna and Spicy Ponzu Aioli, makes another great starter

• Brother from Another Mother
Sushi with Unagi & Anagi Tempura (sea & fresh water eels, hence the name*) with Foie Gras, Ponzu Mayo, and Eel Sauce. So delicious we cleaned the plate in seconds

• Perfect Storm
Sushi with Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Belly Aburi, and Chipotle Mayo 👌🏼

• Jidori Chicken
The most tender and juiciest grilled chicken we’ve ever eaten.. served with Truffled Potato Puree and Teriyaki Sauce

And the star of the night:

• Porterhouse
600gr USDA Prime Beef, Coffee Crusted, with Korean Black Garlic Bordelaise 😋😋😋

Brother From Another Mother, sushi roll pkainya unagi sama anago. Sama2 belut tapi beda daratan, makanya namanya gitu. Enak banget! Semua tekstur kayak dapet

Jidori Chicken, tender keterlaluan udah kayak bukan ayam. Rasanya menyerap!

Perfect Storm, sushi roll juga ada udangnya. Crispy nya masih dapet! Ada salmon juga atasnya.

Crispy Tuna, crispy kayak yg dijanjiin!

Shrimp Popcorn, masih crispy walaupun semua well coated sama sauce mentainya

Tacos, my fav banget! Dagingnya juicy banget, terus taco shell nya masih crispy dan ga plain. Ada irisan jalapeno nambah tekstur banget.

Tuna Pizza, Hebatnya toppingnya tetep moist tapi crust nya masi crispy!

Eringi Pizza, kreasi vegetarian pizza mereka. Aku bukan vegetarian pun suka ini enak! Hebatnya toppingnya tetep moist tapi crust nya masi crispy!

Porterhouse, tender banget pakai coffee rub. Kapan lagi gigit steak sekali pkai gigi seri itu langsung putus? Sauce nya koreannn! Ada grilled baby corn juga pakai parmesan cheese

Finally tried this restaurant after listening to countless people saying how great the ambiance is and how consistantly amazing the food is.
Ambiance

The restaurant was dark and calming, as you can see the light coming from the streets of Jakarta from the 12th floor of the the MD Place Penthouse. The decor is pretty simple yet luxurious. Perfect for almost every  date night to business dinner.
Service

The service was excellent. All of the staffs were prompt and attentive, as expected from award winning restaurant.
Food

1. Appetizers :

Tuna Pizza

This signature appetizer of Akira Back was simply amazing. The thin and pizza crust was the perfect vessel to slices of raw tuna and the microgreens. Addition of truffle oil elevates the dish further. A must order.
Eringi Pizza

A personal favorite of mine. The vegetarian version of the pizza was using umami mushrooms. I can't really explain the combination of flavor as you need to experience it for yourself. I personally couldn't stop eating this dish.
AB Tacos

Wagyu Kalbi with spicy tomato ponzu inside crunchy taco skin were the food combination that I never knew I needed in my life. The beef were succulent and the spices were pefect.
Popcorn Shrimp

The sauce that coated the fresh bite-size fried shrimp was excellent. The spiciness, sweetness and sourness of the sauce was really unique and balanced.
Crispy Rice

The crispy rice was a bit tangy. Perfect to be combined with the peppery cajun tuna, spicy ponzu aioli, and nori paste. The flavors exploded in my mouth (in a good way). Spices/chili-lover must order.
2. Mains:

Porterhouse

Their 600 grams USDA Prime steak with coffee crust and Korean Black Garlic bordelaise served with parmesan grilled baby corn could be considered expensive, but I can assure you that it's worth the price. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the seasonings was to die for. The charred corn made a perfect pair with the steak.
Perfect Storm

Another excellent main dish. This sushi roll had everything, from shrimp, salmon belly, to tuna. The sauce was a bit spicy. It's delicious.
Jidori Chicken

Not what you expected when you think about a chicken dish. Normally, chicken meat could be a bit tough, rubbery, and fiber-y. However, this chicken was incredibly moist and tender. I was quite blown away when I tasted this dish. The sweet and salty teriyaki sauce and truffled potato puree tied the dish together.
Wagyu Fried Rice

Never had fried rice this flavorful before. It is very different from the dry-fried-rice that you normally get. They are using good quality rice, cubed veggies such as carrots and cucumbers, and most importantly, wagyu. To spice it up, you can eat them with provided bird's eye chili.
Brother from Another Mother

This roll consisted of anago and unagi. Both of the fishes provide succulent texture and unique taste to the sushi. The sauce used was sweet.
3. Desserts:

Yuzu Granita

This dessert is incredibly fresh due to the sour taste of yuzu shaved ice and popping bubble. The coconut foam provided the needed sweetness to the dish. Writing this review makes me crave the dessert even more. Another must order.
Malibu Ganache

A delicious ending. Initially, this dessert tasted sweet from the outer white chocolate casing. Then my mouth was covered with rich coconut and slightly bitter flavor from Malibu liquor.
To sum it up shortly : Undoubtedly an excellent dining experience.
