Caspar - The Orient Hotel

The newest yet finest Spanish restaurant & lounge in Jakarta 🙌🏻
Saya langsung terpesona sebanget-bangetnya sama restoran ini. Lokasinya di Apartemen Sudirman Suites persis sebelahan sama Furuzato Izakaya. Interiornya to the next level sih, luas, homey, tematik, rasain sendiri deh kenyamanannya sampe ga pengen pulang 🤣
Servicenya bagusss, ramah & cepat! Harganya reasonable mulai dari 50 ribuan.
Aku cobain beberapa menu tapas, main course & dessert:
- Pan Con Tomate: homemade bread with tomato puree, spanish olive oil & salt
- Alitas Picantes: deep fried chicken wings with spicy butter sauce
- Huevo Poche Con Setas: potato puree, poached egg and sauteed mushroom (saya biasanya ga suka kentang model begini, tapi ini pengecualian... tekstur kentangnya halus banget beb!)
- Pollo de Mantequilla: pan-roasted chicken in brown butter (ini MUST TRY, kulitnya renyah, dagingnya empuk maksimal sumpahhh pengen nambah seporsi lagi 💯)
- Costillar Con Pimiento de Piquillo: slow-cooked short ribs with charred piquillo, grilled romaine lettuce and chimichurri (short ribs yg bikin galau saking enaknya 🥲)
- Leche con Galletas: cookie cream with milk espuma (dessert dari biskuit dan susu dengan foam susu dan taburan bubuk coklat, penampakannya mirip tiramisu)
- Crema Catalana: classic Catalan custard cream infused with cinnamon and citrus (cream custard ala Catalonia, teksturnya light, agak creamy dan less sweet, cinnamon & citrus terasa samar-samar aja, ini mirip crème brûlée tapi basic ingredient-nya berbeda)
- Bipolar: ginger, citrus, pina gum & ginger ale
- Gummy Yummy: bubble gum, yuzu, lemon, albumin, soda

First dine-in in 2021, CASPAR JAKARTA.

Berlokasi di Sudirman Suites, restoran baru yang menyajikan cita rasa Spanish ini bener2 menyita perhatian. Tempatnya spacious dengan ambiance yang super cozy, begitu masuk uda langsung amazed aja dengan design interior mereka. Buat yang suka foto, dijamin bakalan happy banget sih.

Dari segi pelayanan jelas2 two thumbs up sih, sigap dan humble banget waiter dan waitressnya. The Best!! Mereka jg bs jelasin ke kami gitu, menu2 yg gak familiar menurut kami.

Untuk makanannya kami cobain beberapa appertizer, 2 main course, 2 dessert dan 2 minuman.

Pan Con Tomate
Homemade bread disajikan dengan tomato puree, olive oil dan dibagian atas tomato pureenya ada sedikit taburan gitu. Buat aku ini rasanya b aja sih, roti yg di toast sebentar dengan topping tomato di atasnya. Rasanya ya tomat banget.

Atlas Picantes
Namanya unik ya ? Tapi ini sebenernya chicken wings loh, chicken wings dengan spicy herbs yang dipanggang gitu, bukan digoreng. Wajib dicocol dengan butter sauce mereka yang seger banget, asem2 gitu. Perpaduan yang cocok deh.

Huevo Poche con Setas
Kombinasi mashed potato, mixed mushroom dan onsen egg. Mashed potatonya enak banget, super lembut, teksturnya gk kasar sama sekali, bener2 halus dan mirip cream gitu. Pas makan wajib dicampur dengan mixed mushroom, onsen egg dan saucenya mereka. Rasanya creamy gurih gitu jadinya.

Pollo de Mantequilla
Wuahh, ini enak banget sih, suapan pertamanya aja uda bikin ketagihan gitu. Pan seared chicken yang disajikan dengan mashed potato dan brown butter. Kulit si chicken aja uda enak banget, asin2 garam gitu, tekstur kulitnya jg gk berminyak. Super enak sih, wajib dicocol2 sama brown butternya. Tekstur dagingnya juga empuk dan juicy banget. Super Recommended!!


Costillar con Pimiento de Piquillo
Short ribs yang sudah di sous vide selama 24 jam, sehingga memiliki tekstur daging yg empuk banget. Setelah di sous vide, short ribsnya kemudian digrill dengan butter. Saus di atas short ribsnya enak sih, nagih. Selain itu short ribsnya juga disajikan dengan grilled romaine lettuce,paprika merah dan mashed potato.

Crema Catalana
Penyajiannya mirip dengan creme brulee, rasanya gak semanis yang aku bayangkan, uda sempat takut kemanisan. Ini tuh custard cream yang diinfuse dengan cinnamon dan citrus. Cinnamonnya berasanya lebih di after taste, tp kalo citrus begitu masuk mulut uda langsung berasa gitu. Teksturnya sendiri mirip creme brulee, lembut gitu.

Leche con Galletas
Mirip tiramisu, mirip banget, bedanya ini disajikan digelas. Tapi begitu dicoba rasanya beda banget, di bagian paling dasar gelas itu ada caramel sauce yg kental banget teksturnya, terus bagian atasnya ada milk foam dan kemudian ditaburi dengan bubuk coklat. Untuk dessert 1 ini, rasanya gak begitu manis. Cucok.

Overall, aku cukup puas dari tempat, pelayanan dan juga rasa makanannya sih. Bikin betah banget buat ngobrol sama temen2. 😆

Hello Guys, if you are looking for Authentic Spanish Cuisine. So here’s I have the right answer for you, It’s CASPAR JAKARTA, a Spanish restaurant which located in Sudirman Suites Apartment. It’s under one group with Furusato Izakaya. The main Chef is originally from Spain, and their Signature menu is Paella. What make their Paella special is they use Boba rice, which different size than any regular raw rice, it’s more rounded shaped and perfect for Paella Dish, from Land to Seafood and the portions is good for sharing.

The meaning of Caspar name is reflected on how people always love travelling and have the signature goodies, and here’s born the concept of Caspar, designed by the famous Interior designer name Bill Bensley. All the window on the ceiling is made from Oak wood and strongly hold by steel, so it’s super safe.

The staff is super friendly and they nicely explain each menu and recommend the most popular and signature Dish from the Chef.

Bruschetta
It’s the appetiser from CASPAR. The ciabatta bread topped with puree tomatoes drizzled with some extra virgin olive oil. The bread is soft, moist and extra light to triggers your appetite to the main course

Huevo Poche con Setas
It’s the best Starter menu I ever tried. Consist of potato puree, poached egg and sautéed mushrooms. The consistency super creamy, thick and I rather say it more plain, not salty, yet I can get all the flavours bind together, it melts in mouth. The egg yolk is perfectly cooked, beautiful orange colour, any the time I stab with fork, it’s burst like a river. OH my Goodness, it’s the BOMB!

Costillar con Pimiento de Piquillo
After the amazing Starter, let the the main course be the Star of the day. The slow cooked short ribs is super juicy, tender, soft and melt in mouth. Maybe there’s no other word can define how soft it is, part from melt, juicy and no effort to chew the meat, yes there is some fat, but I love them. The perfect Charred Piquillo or Chimicurri sauce super amazing, the flavour is unique and perfect match with the beef. Romaine lettuce is super crunchy fresh and I love the roasted red chilli~ yummy.

Leche Con Galletas
It’s the best dessert from Caspar, at first glance I thought it was a Tiramisu, yet it taste super delicious. The cream foam is light, soft and the cookie on the bottom, taste Great., It’s sweet & taste so cinnamon, smells good. And yeah it’s a wrap. Such a luxury brunch experience with CASPAR.

The dining are is lounge on the 1st floor, private area with some Whiskey collection on the second floor and the other section is Wine collection (but still closed for public), they also have smoking area and outdoor area.

The bar area for making beverages, such as mocktail and cocktail is very luxury and they have two section.

Bipolar
It’s a mocktail drink with a touch of ginger. Again it’s recommended by the waiter and surprisingly, it taste amazing, light fresh and quench my thirst. Beautifully decorated with edible flowers, and the good things about this drink is, it’s perfect after the heavy meal, to reduce the feeling after bloated.

I am super happy with CASPAR JAKARTA brunch experience, the service was excellent, super friendly, just in time and super caring, they keep asking if the food is okay and wether you want to make all the food serve to be in one time. The customer mostly group of people in casual and some of them are business man. Hope I can visit again to Caspar on the weekend, to enjoy their Live music.
