MONKS

Pertama kalinya aku dateng ke Monks dan jujur pas masuk langsung amaze karena interior dan dekorasinya lucu banget, bener-bener vibes natal. Pelayanannya juga ramah banget, cuman kemarin keluar makanannya emang jeda agak lama. Nyaman banget tempatnya, bener bener comfy!!!

Disini aku pesan:
🎀 Pork Bacon Bomb
Jujur ekspektasi aku agak tinggi, cuman ternyata ga sesuai sama yang aku pikirin. Enak sih, dia tipikal baconnya garing gitu, cuman menurutku dimasaknya plain banget. Lalu di menunya, dibilang ada cheesenya, cuman jujur ga gitu kerasa sih karena didominasi sama spicy mayonya. Norinya juga yang kukira bakal nambah tekstur, ternyata udah dimix sama nasinya gitu dan gagitu berasa. Overall masih enak sih komposisinyq kayak makan bacon pakai spicy mayo. Ngenyangin sih karena nasinya cukup banyak di roll sama baconnya

🎀 Aburi Salmon Mentai
Enak sih cuman salmonnya tipis banget dan agak amis. Yang aku suka dia dikasih kayak crispy kani(?) gitu atasnyq dan buat si sushinya pas dimakan jadi ada krenyes-krenyes gitu. Isiannya ada kani sama timun gitu, enak nambah tekstur dan rasa. Mozarellanya ga terlalu berasa karena didominasi sama mentai saucenya.

🎀 Iced House Tea
Kayak es teh biasa aja sih

tempatnya keren banget, dekorasi natalnya di atas rata2, makanannya pun di atas ekspetasi,

pbb (pork bacon bomb) : menu best seller, mantap, porsinya jg pas

aburi salmon mentai: salmonnya kerasa sekali, apa lagi pas gigitan pertama

ultimate nacos: kagett rasanya bener2 enak, krispynya pas, cocok buat ngopi atau ngebeer

beyond the sea : salah satu kesukaan, pasti order lagi kalo ke sana

fettuccine carbonara: rasanya bener2 enak, dari pastanya pun ok bgt

brikkie burger: rasanya top deh

croffle : porsinya besar, pastinya puas, beda dengan di tempat lain

lychee tea : penyajiannya ok, ga terlalu manis, cocok buat nongkorong

Was here during the weekend, the place was not that crowded somehow did not make scared due to high ceiling of first and second floor. This place used to be my favorite hangout cafe in Kelapa Gading. One of the reasons is because i am so in love with their avocado coffee, so good and nice!!!
We ordered PBB (pork bacon bomb) sushi, truffle fries and avocado coffee of course! Pretty much enjoyed all the great food!
First time tried PBB, not bad at all. It is basically rice covered with pork bacon and mayonaisse on top. Truffle fries was so crunchy i like it. Not to mention avocado coffee, still the best of all even though it has been quite a very while since i last came to Monks.

Food was good. Maple cinnamon cheese toast was just a simple food yet it was delicious. Thick brioche filled with cheddar cheese and cream cheese then topped with granola, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. Simple and nice. Just too bad they were out of granolas during our visit.

PBB or Pork Bacon Bomb was basically a bacon covered sushi rice, cheese and nori, topped with mayo. Quite good.

Gyo-Cos or Gyoza Tacos used gyoza skin instead of taco shells then filled with pork bacon, tomato, salsa and Jisan sauce. Very refreshing appetizers and good one.

Stone cake was decadently delicious. Shaped like a stone, good to fool your friends. A milk chocolate mousse with caramelized banana filling.

Coffee was well brewed, liked their latte.
Red velvet latte was standard.

I always love to come back here. Great ambience and music. Great food and drinks as well. Definitely you will love this place. It is cozy and homey to chill out with your family or friends. What an awesome place. 👍

If everyone comes to this place to enjoy coffee and the famous Stone Cake, I visited this place for New Year dinner with my friends dan unfortunately kita lupa pesen stone cake. Next time bakal kesini.

Okey jadi kita pesen:


- Pork Bacon Bomb
ini salah satu menu favorit disini. bentuknya kayak sushi which is actually pork bacon rolled with rice, cheese, nori, and topped with torched spicy mayo. Ini enak banget tapi kayaknya kalo seenak ini ga cukup satu porsi wkwkwk Seriusan enak banget ini gak boong.

- Ramen Carbonara
I'm not a big fan of creamy pasta but this one is totally recommended. Creamnya light, ga terlalu thick, gak bikin enek juga. Trus dipakein pork bacon dan semacam garlic bread gitu.

- 400 Roast Chikin
Ini buat kalian yang demen makan banyak, silahkan pesen ini. Jadi ini adalah 400gram roasted chicken pake seared veggies dan french fries. Rasanya enak dan big portion. Kalo mau dibuat sharing juga bisa. French friesnya luar biasah enaknya. Ayamnya di roasted sampe mateng ke dalem, dagingnya empuk dan bener-bener puas makannya.

- The Japanese Lava
Ini curry terenak kedua yang aku coba selain C*co Ichibanya. Ga nyangka kalo curry rice nya bakal seenak ini. Nasinya pulen, saus karinya bold tapi spices nya pas, ga over sama sekali. Chicken katsunya crispy dan empuk dan saus curry nya ada wortel kentangnya gitu.

- Shio Tama Ramen
Aku ga terlalu ngerasain yang ini, cuma salted egg sauce nya enak. Diatasnya pake topping chicken katsu dan ada garlic bread nya juga. Enak sih cuma karena aku ga nyicip banyak jadi cuma bisa review dikit

Anyway, banyak yang makan disini ga enak, tapi banyak juga yang enak banget. Setelah diusut ternyata chefnya ganti jadi hoki-hokian gitu. Untungnya sih pas dateng kesini makanannya enak-enak.
