Sushi Masa

@sushimasa_id known for their great quality and fresh ingredients. The location is a bit tricky but its worth the drive✨ Everything that I ordered incredibly tasty but my personal fav is the Smoked Duck; it melted in my mouth!! 🤯😋 Overall, its a great place when you’re craving for authentic taste sushi 💯

If you're big fans of salmon, let's go to salmon heaven at sushi masa. Honestly, compare to the 2 years ago I've visit here, it's downgrade but compare to all sushi brand at Jakarta right now, still the defending champion of sushi lol. As the kobe and special beef are sold out, so we opted for their salmon:

SPECIAL HOTATE GURATAN (110K) - grilled cooked scallop with cheese. The one and only non salmon for tonight. But definitely one of the best. Love the freshness and that cheeeese is melted so good (9/10)

SALMON ABURI SUSHI (17K) - so goood. I love all dish that has aburi on their name lol. It's so good, partially raw & grilled dayum (8/10)

SALMON BELLY ABURI SUSHI (37K) - oh yes this is must order menu!! That fatty cut salmon belly that is partially grilled on top. OMG whoever created this dish is so smart - delicious smokey and creamy flavour in one hap (10/10)

SALMON BELLY SUSHI (17K) - If you love the raw one, go for this! Yes another thick cut salmon belly, just put a little soyu and you could feel that salmon swim inside your belly (10/10)

SALMON SHIO KOMBU (20K) - black sugar inari with salmon shio kombu. Big fan of inari but they have unique flavor like apple, ocha, plum and this black sugar. Another genius idea to combine those kind of flavor, but seriously the hero of this dish is the used of salmon shio kombu on top that give interesting combination (9/10)

SALMON KABUTO MENTAI (55K) - okay this is the most simple dish with simple flavor. Not my favorite, it just not totally work with that mentai (7/10)

SALMON TATAKI (95K) - lightly roasted salmon served with teriyaki sauce thickened extra ginger. My all time favorite for the past 2 years but I find it a little bit different. It's still delicious but I didn't find that 'perfect-magic' taste anymore (9/10)

SALMON ZUKE DON (120K) - bowl of rice with marinated salmon topped with egg and salmon roe. This one is great but already tried the best one at ok*zo*o, the egg somehow ruins the flavor combination (8/10)

SPICY SALMON HANA ROLL (70K) - half boiled salmon with spicy mayo sauce. It's yum but it's served everywhere now (8/10)

Cozy place. Attentive and great service. Queue still on but not crazy like the past 2 years. Still love their salmon dish but some magic flavor is turned off so they should find it again (as I see their rating is slightly fall down)

So far the best sushi I’ve ever tried! Tempatnya terpencil bgt dan emg agak susah digapai🤣 tp worth it bgt. Kmrn pesen gak ada yg gak enak. Semua sashiminya fresh😭 Kmrn pesen ini:

Oyster
Ktnya ini yg ukuran small krn yg gedenya abis. Tp smallnya aja menurutku ud gede loh! Fresh bgt dan gak amis!! Perdana coba oyster jd gbs bandingin. Tp kt cowokku yg ud perna coba ini so far the best oysternya di jkt!🤣 Dan buat harganya ini oke bgt bgt.

Salmon sashimi
Fresh dan lembut bgt, doyan bgttt sm ini🤤

Beef aburi sushi
Ini jg one of my favorites! Wangi aburinya dan daging tipis yg super empuk😭 One of the best👌🏻

Smoked duck blackpepper & classic
Mnrtku gak beda jauh rasanya, cm yg classic agak lbh asin. Tp ini bener-bener enak bgt, empuk dan wangi bgt. Gak heran ini jd salah satu menu andalan disini.

Salmon aburi sushi
Ini pdhl bkn salmon belly tp rasanya ud kyk salmon belly, lembut dan meleleh di mulut.

Sashimi moriawase
Ini isinya ada salmon, mekajiki, maguro, red snapper sm scallop. Semuanya fresh dan enak bgt!! Scallopnya bener-bener lembut😭

Chawanmushi
Mnrtku chawanmushinya cenderung tawar. Tp enak kalo dimakan buat bersihin lidah😝 cm kalo dimakan sendiri mnrtku aga tawar hehehe.

Ika natto
Akhirnya cobain natto dan ternyata... aku ga doyan😅 baunya terlalu nyengat dan nempel di mulut. Jd asal tau aja hahahah.

Tamago sushi
Tamagonya tebelllllll bgt gila🤣 aku personally ga gt doyan tamago. Tp cowo aku puas bgt mkn tamago sushi disini hehehe.

Ikura gunkan
Ikuranya fresh bgt dan super byk!!

Idako gunkan
Idakonya pas ga terlalu lembek! Sukaaa❤️

Overall a very nice experience. Good service, ambience, and a very excellent food!! Will definitely come back🥰❤️

Walau lokasinya tidak strategis , agak terpencil, tapi resto ini selalu ramai, terkenal menyajikan sushi dan sashimi yang fresh

Sushi Masa is like a hidden gem, it's located at Tuna Raya Street and to go there you have to go through the fish market and fish products factories industrial complex.

It might be difficult to get there, but trust me it will be worth it!!

Ordered many kinds of sushi:
1. Ebi Sushi;
2. Salmon Aburi Sushi;
3. Salmon Sushi;
4. Ika Sushi;
5. Bincho Maguro Sushi;
6. Hokkigai Sushi;
7. Kobasira Gunkan Sushi;
8. Idako Gunkan Sushi.

And they were all Heavenly Delicious!!
Expertly made with very fresh seafood!!

The service was also top notch!! It was good, fast, friendly and informative.

Tips: get a seat in the bar counter so you could watch and talk directly to the Sushi Chefs to get the full sushi experience at Sushi Masa.

Sudah banyak dengar kalau sushi masa itu enak. Supaya tidak penasaran akhirnya saya jajal juga, pas datang jam makan malam ramai dan sempat antri nunggu beberapa menit. Tempatnya tidak terlalu besar sih tapi cukup cozy. Setelah dapat tempat duduk langsung dikasih buku menu dan ternyata menunya banyak dan semuanya menggiurkan ya. Saya mutusin pesan inari salmon tar tar, inari tender smoked duck, keduanya sama sama enak inarinya besar potongan salmon dan smoked ducknya juga banyak jadi pas dimakan berasa salmon dan smoked ducknya.

Selain itu pesan chicken teriyaki, teriyaki disini saucenya agak cair dan menurut saya kurang menyerap ke ayamnya, ayamnya juga agak kering, rasanya boleh lah. Ada lagi zaru udon, enakkk banget, udonnya kenyal gitu saya suka zaru udon disini apalagi ditambah dicelup ke kuahnya, yummy!! Beef hobayaki, menu recommended disini, pertama kali ekspektasi saya ini pasti enak pake banget tapi menurut saya so so saja, dibilang enak ya enak dagingnya empuk tapi lebih dominan rasa manisnya.

Salmon sushi dan salmon aburi sushi, potongan salmonnya memang gak tanggung tanggung besar, tebal jadi puas makannya. Yang paling the best dari semua yang saya pesan itu Toro maki, lumerrrr dimulut membuat lidah bergoyang, ketagihan deh sama toro makinya, freshhh pula! Pasti balik lagi kesini!!

Located literally nowhere, on our way we thought we are stranded somewhere and it was flooding don't know why since its not raining. But then we kept going and we found the building.

We ordered the aburi salmon sushi and aburi beef, which both are really good and then we tried the beef donburi which also good and we end it with lots of dessert, the hokkaido cheese ice cream was exceptional, nothing can be compared to the taste. The rest of the sorbet and dessert were also really good but not as special as the hokkaido cheese ice cream.

Will be coming back for sure!
