Karena lagi ada perlu ke TA pagi2, jadi browsing cafe apa aja yang udah buka jam 9, dan..... ternyata ngga banyak ya. Dari yg diliat harusnya yg buka ada Monsieur Spoon, Starbucks dan RR Chocolate. Anyway kebetulan letak Monsieur spoon sangat strategis di depan lobby dan keliatan udah lit up pagi2 plus juga pintu masuknya accessible dari depan langsung, jadilah masuk kesini aja. 

Pegawainya udah pada sigap memulai hari sih, dan tempatnya udah ready, jadi langsung dipersilahkan untuk duduk aja. Ternyata pagi2 weekdays, beberapa orang jg memilih tempat ini, tapi ga banyak orang sih jadi emang sepi pagi2 gini.

Untuk memulai hari, pesen cheese croissant and long black. The croissant wahhh enak banget, flaky and cheesy - can also taste the butter from the pastry layers, so very happy! Kopinya sih ya standar aja but quite strong for me too, agak asem juga ya.. I honestly think harganya cukup reasonable untuk tempat, pelayanan dan makanannya. Would be back for other pastry variants or the delicious food!

Happen to visit pas mau do workshop di Tanakita Ceramics just beside the restaurant. Ordered mains dan some appetizers. 

We got tahu telur asin dan chicken wings - the looks sih meyakinkan ya, dan rasanya enak aja as expected but nothing special from both. Chicken wingsnya disajikan dalam bentuk tulip chicken legs so easy to eat - appreciate that. 

Main dishes are tasty! especially suka banget sama mie jawa sapi nya, rasanya medok dan jawa banget (asin-manis balanced). Nasi goreng juga enak-enak sih rasanya, very happy overall. Hor fun nya taste good - topping berlimpah dan ada smoky taste too! Happy tummy happy heart! 

They serve the food on Tanakita Ceramics products - all are distinct and pretty. Do also have coffee there, such a great place to enjoy ceramics workshops/classes while having good food and coffee.

Went here for a group dinner where we booked the table beforehand. Surprisingly for Friday afternoon it's not busy, only 3 tables occupied. We brought our own drinks and let them chill and serve our wines. 

Went in with no expectation but blown away by the food! Greeted firstly by the Grilled octopus, spicy rocoto ali-oli, brocollini aop - which was so tender and juicy! The grilled bone marrow tasted superb, umami bomb perfectly paired with their tender yet crusty and buttery bruschetta. 

The mains were also great. Our T-bone looks as good as it tasted, cooked into perfection. The suckling pig  porchetta and grilled pineapple was also delicious, smooth tasting porchetta. Everyone in my group were really amazed by their spaghetti clams smoked on charcoal - very flavourful, tasting like a feast of the ocean. A must order dish! 

The Trip to cuba cigar - entertaining delicacy. Playful display meets delicious chocolate mousse paired with rhum gelato, just yum. The server was very attentive, preparing cutleries and wine for the whole table. In the end, he reminded us and packed our remaining wine bottle properly. Class!

Came here because we wanted to see the place and taste classic Javanese Dutch dishes. Keep your eyes open and be alert if you want to visit - the place is kind of hidden on plain sight. Seriously lokasinya very unlikely and nothing actually giving away the place. Also the entrance is hidden.. found "do not enter" sign in places but truly the main entrance is the little yellow door to the right side 😂 hidden, looks like they are not open and no sign.

But the interior is very unique, indeed was a traditional colonial house with genuine materials and furnitures. It is even mentioned not to drag the chairs but to lift them up. They also creaks here and there. We went in at 12 and were the first one in - although the few tables filled up later in the day.

They serve quite a range of food and ended up trying recommendation from the server - bistik djawa and chicken steak. They tasted great actually, bistik djawa has the bistik chopped, which i enjoy less than the chicken steak. Eating here reminds you of classic Java-Dutch cuisine in Braga Permai / Rendezvous. The portion is also quite big. Their poffeetjes were also good!

We sat for some time and ordered rounds of drinks (tea and coffee), took some pics inside and on the balcony before leaving. They are quite famous for the coffee too, which the server mentioned is quite strong. Do recommend to visit for the experience (unique space), good food with fair price!

Had family dinner and wanted something soothing so went with chicken herbal soup. It was the perfect choice and everyone was happy with it! As usual everything is fresh and delicious, we enjoyed everything thoroughly!

We did reserve a table and got in right away although it's not as packed. Service was swift and attentive. Additional order also came shortly after order. Overall think the prawn paste tasted ordinary, the rest was exceptional.

Second time here di Astha branch. Karena kesini pas lunch time on weekdays, WA them to book dan ditelpon langsung dibilangin sebenernya ga bs book but they will try to accommodate the booking anyways dengan limit 15 menit setelah jam booking. Fair enough, pas kesana di jam 12 sih ga ramai BUT when we started eating memang penuh sih tempatnya..

Ordered the family package to share. Pertama diinfokan kalau tofu roll lg kosong and we're okay with it. But my oh my malah disajiin yang isi nori! Annnndddd it's super good, even better daripada yg biasa 😋😋 The rest isi paketnya enakkkk deh, seperti biasa rasanya enak dan konsisten. This also includes jagung salted egg nya. Sayangnya mala chicken lg kosong sih wanted to get that awalnya..
Cobain acar akar teratai muda, enakkk deh rasanya segar dan agak crunchy - very fresh!

Good service good food. High standard as expected of Suji branches is evident in Astha branch.

Here for a short meeting only so only getting beverage. Happy because of the very cute beverage set! We can also refill once. The place itself is quite packed on thursday afternoon; banyak jg yg meeting (on site and virtual).

Waiters are very helpful and friendly, sangat solutif jg cariin space yg ada colokan when prompted. Sayangnya sih wifinya agak lambat ya but if we disregard that, overall the service and drink was satisfactory.

Peeked at their pastries when checking out and damn they look soooo gooly good!! Tea time with pastries next time!
