3.6Tucano's Churrascaria Brazilian BBQ & Buffet [ Tanah Abang, Brasil ]
Miscommunicated staff
Came here yesterday to have a "buffet only" dinner with my partner. Food was good enough, with some of my favorites were the moqueca, polenta fritas, egg salad, and potato salad. Everything was good, until that I asked a staff standing near a corner about if "buffet only" dinner is included with drink or not. He replied with a yes and asked me what I wished to drink in which I replied that I wanted 2 glass of lemon tea that is free flow.
Soon after we finished our lemon tea and asked for refill, another staff (I think the manager) came to us and informed that the lemon tea wasn't available for buffet only dinner...and we will get charged for ordering 2 glasses of lemon tea. Both me and my partner were surprised and quickly checked the menu list in which we found that the free flow drink text is written just under the buffet only menu list (a very ambiguous menu statement), and we asked for another explanation. He stated that the text "free flow drink" is available only for churrasco package, and we still got charged for the 2 drinks.
The problem is, first the design of the menu list was really ambiguous that they put the free flow text under the buffet only menu. It should be placed on another page which has a churrasco package, NOT on the "buffet only" page.
Second, when I asked the staff if we got a drink or not if we pay for "buffet only", why he replied with a YES?? What really triggered me was when the manager gave the explanation to us...he said "We're sorry but luckily it was just a lemon tea, that shouldn't be a problem". What kind of irresponsible statement is that?? Not a problem? We paid 70k++ (82.6k nett) extra because of a miscommunicated statement they made and that was out of our budget from the beginning. It really ruined our mood and we completely lost our appetite to even continue eating.
Even the food is good, but our experience was ruined because of that. Next time, please train all of your staffs to completely understand the rule and conditions so there won't be another miscommunication happens again in the future.

Cheetos Ice Cream
Ini es krim yang sempet nge-hype di Instagram waktu itu, es krim rasa keju dipadukan dengan cheetos crumble, bisa dibayangkan ya rasanya pasti unik. Untuk rasanya sendiri sih sebenarnya enak, asin2 manis gimana gitu. Hanya saja cheetos crumble nya sendiri tuh bikin mulut dan meja berantakan, setiap kali mau dimakan pasti berceceran jadinya. Mungkin konsep nya menarik, hanya saja eksekusinya masih perlu dikembangkan lagi.

Datang ke Paulaner Brauhaus karena penasaran dengan masakan Jerman sekaligus untuk merayakan hari Natal juga. Disini tuh selain menyajikan masakan Jerman, mereka juga menyediakan bir buatan mereka sendiri yang langsung di brew oleh brewmaster mereka dengan resep asli dari Jerman.
Kalau malam malam datang disini, suasananya akan lebih ramai karena akan ada live music dan orang orang yang ingin menikmati bir sampai malam. Untuk dinner aku pesan Bacon Spread, Roasted Chicken, Weisswurst (Sosis Putih), dan segelas Weissbier.
Untuk rasa sih bagi aku cukup enak terutama bagi yang belum familiar dengan rasa Jerman. Hanya saja jika dibandingkan dengan masakan negara Eropa lainnya seperti Italia, Perancis, dan Spanyol, masakan Jerman cenderung memiliki 1 jenis rasa saja dalam setiap masakannya. Berbeda dengan negara eropa dekat laut mediterania yang kaya akan rasa. Untuk Weissbier rasanya seperti meminum bir dengan rasa pisang padahal tidak ada pisang di dalamnya, katanya rasa pisang tersebut dihasilkan dari gandum yang difermentasi.

Jalan jalan ke Senayan CIty untuk dinner, dan diputuskan untuk mencoba JJ Royal Bistro. Setelah melihat lihat menunya maka diputuskan untuk mencoba Full English Breakfast mereka. Lucu ya makan Full English Breakfast ketika dinner...tapi yasudahlah XD. Jadi di dalam 1 porsi itu ada sosis, smoked chicken, grilled tomato, sauteed mushroom, bread, baked tomato dan egg. Porsinya cukup mengenyangkan sih, dan untuk rasa cukup ok menurut aku.

Ini restoran sebenernya unik ya, jadi dia punya konsep "kamu pilih apa yang kamu mau, kita masak". Jadi untuk bahan dasarnya kita dapat memilih nasi, mie, atau kwetiau. Kemudian pilih dagingnya mulai dari ayam, sapi, udang, dll. Lalu kita akan pilih toppingnya mulai dari jamur, wortel, sayuran, dll. Dan yang terakhir kita disuruh menentukan semua bahan yang sudah kita pilih akan dimasak dengan saus apa. Kalau aku milih nasi, ayam, dan wortel dimasak dengan saus Thai Green Curry (pilih yang unik). Dan kokinya akan masak langsung sesuai bahan bahan yang dipilih, dan jujur baunya harum dan rasanya enak banget. Perpaduan nasi dengan Thai Green Curry yang dimasak bersamaan ternyata cocok juga ya, tidak terlalu pedas dan tidak terlalu asin juga. Mungkin tempat ini bisa aku rekomendasi untuk orang-orang yang ingin quick lunch dengan harga yang murah, terjangkau, enak, dan cepat pula.

So on the Friday night, I visited GIA for the first time for dinner. The interior is cozy with a dimly lighting across the restaurant. The waiter greeted me and brought me to my table. On the table there was some tableware like fork and knife along with the sherbet and also a spring of rosemary (maybe for extra fragrance haha).
I chose Arancini Cacio e Pepe for appetizer, and San Danielle & Burrata Pizza for my main. The arancini is served on a little pan, consist of 5 pcs. Arancini is a fried Risotto ball filled with mozzarella cheese that is really popular in Italy for snack. It was really delicious tho.
For the pizza, it was served with generous amount of San Danielle prosciutto and also burrata cheese served with tomato sauce. I really love it because of it's flavour and texture. That's how Italian pizza should be done.
The Executive Chef Tommaso Gonfiantini came out to greet me and he said that he would make a complimentary dessert for me which I happily agreed. And it turned out to be the classic Italian dessert Tiramisu served on a martini glass. The tiramisu was light and not overpowering, with a right amount of flavour and sweetness. Perfect.
Dining at GIA was a good experience, the food was delicious and also the staffs were also friendly. Will come back to GIA again next time to try the other menu.Menu yang dipesan: san danielle, Tiramisu, Arancini

Dinner with view
Came here last saturday because I got an ISMAYA gift card, so I opted to give a shot to SKYE.
Ordered their Lebanese Mezze Platter, Tuna Feuillette, Roasted Chicken, and Double Baked Cheese Souffle. Also a glass of Sangria to accompany the dishes.
Lebanese Mezze Platter : a middle east appetizer platter consist of confit garlic bread served with 4 dipping sauce : Tabouleh, Hummus, Beetroot Goat Cheese, and Babaganoush. All of them taste delicious, even for me that don't really like Hummus. But the hummus here is so good.
Tuna Feuillette : the signature dish in SKYE, thinly sliced fresh tuna served on top of thin crepes, arugula leaf, and truffle aioli. This dish was amazing, the combination of all really made it a memorable dish, really really fragrant and delicious.
Roasted Chicken : for first I thought that roasted chicken will be the usual roasted chicken, nothing special. But I was wrong, this roasted chicken was probably the best I've ever had. The chicken was cooked using brining method, then grilled to perfection. Accompanied with potato gratin and chicken jus. The chicken was really tender and the potato gratin was also amazing. What a perfect dish.
Double Baked Cheese Souffle : usually a souffle is served as a sweet dessert, but here in SKYE the souffle is made savoury as an appetizer. The souffle was creamy and salty at the same time, and the heirloom tomato on the side gave the balance of flavor within the plate.
As a member of ISMAYA, I was given a complimentary Chocolate Dome for the dessert. They used Valrhona Chocolate that gives a bittersweet sensation also served with strawberry sauce which was a great combination.
Overall my experience dining at SKYE was amazing. I've heard the rumor that some of the guest were treated bad during the dining session. But for me, I was well treated like a VIP guest there. Rabbit Pie
This cafe in Pluit has been the most hyped place on Instagram feed. Came here because of discount voucher from Perkul. And wow, when I arrived the place was so packed with swarming people. Some of them just sat down and eat, while the other were too busy taking photo. The place was quite narrow, and because of the crowd I opted to make a takeaway.
I ordered their most famous rabbit pie, and sadly the bulldog mousse was sold out at that time. The rabbit pie was made with cream for the rabbit, pie crust, and also a little bit of lemon cream at the buttom of the pie I guess. To be honest, it looks cute but for me the taste doesn't really suit my tastebud. It gave a more balanced flavors when combined together but still tho not really my kind of taste.Menu yang dipesan: Rabbit Pie

Bukan Pizza
The People's Cafe merupakan sebuah cafe yang dinaungi oleh ISMAYA group, dan menyajikan comfort food, baik makanan Indonesia maupun luar. Datang kesini untuk lunch, dan memesan 2 jenis pizza. Pizza Margherita dan Cheese Lovers. Setelah menunggu sekitar 15 menit akhirnya pizza tersebut datang.
Saya agak kaget ketika pertama kali melihat pizza nya. Adonan pizza nya sangat sangat tipis, daripada seperti roti yang ini terlihat lebih ke arah crepe. Untuk Margherita, hanya disajikan dengan saus tomat dan keju. Sedangkan untuk Cheese Lovers semua disajikan dengan keju.
Dari segi tekstur, pizza ini tidak terasa seperti pizza. Lebih ke arah crepe yang ditaruh berbagai topping di atasnya, dengan tekstur tipis dan garing. Dan menurut saya itu bukanlah sebuah pizza sama sekali. Pizza diharuskan memiliki adonan tekstur yang tebal dan agak chewy karena penggunaan tepung semolina di dalamnya.
Apakah saya akan kembali lagi ke The People's Cafe? Mungkin, kalau untuk mencoba menu lainnya terutama menu masakan Indonesianya tapi tidak untuk pizza nya lagi karena itu bukanlah sebuah pizza.

3.6Bakerzin [ Pondok Indah, Barat ]
Spaghetti Tuna
Jalan jalan ke Pondok Indah Mall, dan memutuskan untuk mencoba Bakerzin. Kebetulan Bakerzin sedang ada promo lewat LINE dimana 1 paket seharga 70k sudah termasuk spaghetti tuna + lemongrass ice tea + opera cake. Untuk spaghetti tuna nya sendiri saya kurang suka, spaghetti nya agak undercook jadi masih kaku dan keras, serta tuna nya kurang fresh. Untuk lemongrass ice tea sih saya suka karena rasanya agak unik gitu. Untuk opera cake rasanya cukup enak namun tidak terlalu spesial.
Dan juga, saya menyadari kalau Bakerzin sudah ganti menu ya tidak seperti menu yang dulu. Jujur untuk saya sendiri, saya masih lebih prefer menu yang dulu...Harga per orang: Rp. 50.000 - Rp. 100.000Makasih Infonya!Kamu belum login, klik di sini.
