I always love Thailand food. Sour and tasty was just two of my favorite flavor of taste. We were served by the best waitress. She was so suggestive, friendly, cheerful, and had lot of product knowledge. This restaurant was very lucky to have her as their waitress. We tried several of their menus as follows:

[Khao Pad Sapparod Rp.59.000]

Nasi Nanas, topped with cashews, chicken, and herbs. The rice was smooth and fragrant, the toppings were yummy too.


[Pad Kaprao Gai Rp.49.000]

Chopped chicken with basil. The minced chicken was covered in brown sweet soy sauce, thus, made them looked like tempe. But when you ate them, oh, it's chicken! It was tasty, colorful flavor, and I just love how the basil play some role in its taste. You could really taste them. Salty and tasty basil-y chicken.


[Tom Yam Praw Oon Rp.139.000]

This was a tom yum on a coconut shell. The waitress insisted we had to try this. It was indeed very tasty. One of its strongest point would be its zesty-and-spicy taste, it's not only a very delicious soup, but also presented so beautifully on a coconut shell. One and only flaw was that there's just not enough seafood inside for us to be eaten. They need to put more mushroom, seafood, or chicken inside that's edible. They focused too much on its broth and looks (which they succeeded, I had to admit), but forgetting the fact that this dishes were very expensive for its portioning (only a medium coconut shell, as a bowl), and they only put 2 big shrimp inside for something that we could eat inside the soup. More filling please!

[Khao Ni Mamuang Rp.39.000]

Mango sticky rice. Not bad, actually. Two things that would make this better are to improve its quality and presentation. The sticky rice's color was a bit dark and didn't look so clean, and the mango still had some part or its skin hadn't peeled of perfectly. If they arrange it so neatly, it would add more value to the meal. And the coconut milk was a bit too salty too. The taste of the sticky rice and mango was good.

Creamy thai tea. The thai tea flavored wasn't too strong, a bit sweet and more cream. I love it.

[Fresh Strawberry Rp.35.000]

They add a bit syrup and sugar here, it's a fresh squeeze juice and it tasted wonderful. Fresh and delicious. Not too sweet (for me) :p

I've been a loyal customer to this restaurant since a long time ago. We decided to have complete meals today:

[Soup of the Day - complementary for complete meal (add Rp.39.000 for a soup and a drink)]

Creamy soup, with chopped vegetables and mushroom. It's not too much cream, the cream were just enough. Love.

[Mushroom Salad Rp.39.000]

Very fresh salad, with mushroom and veggies, topped with zesty balsamic sauce. The portion was okay, and I love how the vinaigrette made this appetizer tangy fresh.

[Japanese Fish and Chips Rp.89.000]

Since our menu today had a lot to do with cream, we chose this menu for the fish. It was so fresh, tender, and delicious. The skin was crispy, the fish was tender. The sauce was salty and refreshing, balancing all the cream we had today. The seaweed were too little, though.


[Chicken Mushroom and Cream Spaghetti Rp.79.000]

I am a fan of pasta, and this pasta, for me, just amazing. I know this would be too much cream for most of people, since I ate this with my bf and we ate half of this and half of fish, and I too, feel there's so much cream. But it did taste good. Kind of cream that meet your standard for pasta. You know, there's many ready-to-cook cream that just didn't feel right when you eat them, thankfully, this was not it.

[Ice Bomber Rp.39.000]

Dessert. Ice cream cake, topped with crumbles and chocolate paste. The ice cream was okay, although I could feel the texture wasn't so creamy, a little bit rough. But still refreshing.

AMBIENCE:

The room was okay. Clean and neat. A bit too yellow for me. And not cold enough, even though they had AC running.

FOOD:

[Ramen Babi Special Rp.55.000]

The broth was thick and tasty, as usual. Only the pork, has more fat than usual, which I didn't like. And I think it's smellier than the last time I tried this menu. The ramen noodle was nice, and the topping just made it perfect. Garlic, chili, and pepper. Yum!

[Ramen Babi TamTam Rp.58.000]

My dad ordered this, basically, it's the same as my order, they just add liquid chili on the broth. The taste was okay, bit spicy.


[Gyoza Ayam Udang Goreng Rp.36.000]

Love it! Especially the sauce that they gave you to dip this gyoza in. It's chopped garlic, with oil, vinegar, and seasonings. It's just amazing.

[Ayam Goreng Tori Karage Rp.34.000]

The karage was crunchy and tasty, although, the mayo was not the best for me. The chicken inside wasn't that much too.

[Cashiu Ayam Rp.8.000]

We ordered extra chicken to have a taste and to compare it with pork, and I actually love it! Not too much fat, tender, and complement pretty well with the broth.

SERVICE:
The service was okay. The order was served pretty quickly too since there's a lot of waitresses stand by since it wasn't so crowded that time.

Pork Ribs Soup
Pertama, kuahnya really asin dan rasa ladanya lumayan kerasa sekali. Tapi not a problem for me sih, karena daging mereka betul2 ga kerasa bau sama sekali. Tepuk tangan! :)) dagingnya lembut, teksturnya kaya, dan tidak bau. Rasa di dagingnya sendiri ga terlalu kerasa jadi ya diimbangi dengan kuah yang super asin ini

Saya juga coba kembang tahu mereka. I gotta admit it's like really good! Rasa asinnya pas, kenyalnya juga pas gak terlalu kering, dan waktu dicampur sama bubur atau mi sua nya juga enak.

Bubur disini juga enak. Kentalnya pas, tidak terlalu encer, masih ada sedikit nasi stgh bubur yang kerasa (my fav kind :p), and seasoned well too. Cakwenya ya standar dan dicampur bubur enak.

Yang unik dari semuanya adalah minuman tehnya. Karena gelasnya super duper mini dan they juga selalu sirem baknya ini pakai air panas. Traditional chinese tea, sekali teguk harus tuang lagi :)  

First I'll talk about the ambience. The decoration was quite nice. There's cute wooden wall, to make this look like a vintage-barn. They need to do something about the lighting, though. Most of the rays were captured on my camera, and feel a bit gloomy when I went here. They also didn't turn on music. Maybe that's one of the reason why.

So they had 2 different style of foods in two different menus. There're asians and westerns. We tried their western food:


[Chicken Creamy Cheese Rp.40.000]

Too much cream for me. They need to add more cheese and herbs on this because the taste was too milky and creamy. But the pasta was al dente, and the sauce's density was enough. The portion was huge too :)


[Fish and chips Rp.55.000]
They present the fish and chips on a pan. Kind of remind me of some other restaurant. Good presentation, they already cut the fish into 7 and fried them. The outside were so crispy and tasty, and the fishes were tender. It was a little bit hard to cut it in a good shape, though. Maybe because the flour doesn't really glued to the fish or the fish's fibers a bit off. The tartar sauce was amazing! And the salad was really delicious too.

[Iced Tea Tarik Rp.14.000]

Good, milky Thai tea. A bit creamier and milkier than usual, but I like it.

Overall I had a good meal here, the price was affordable too, the place was not bad, the food were okay.

Capitea is located upstairs on Makan Sutra. So when you want you order foods in the food court area, you can grab this one for the drink.

I tried their Roselle Honey Lime with Rainbow Jelly [Rp.25.500]. It was Fresh and zesty, also taste a bit healthy :) The portion was quite generous, and it was not too sweet too! The service was good. Friendly waiter, quick served. And the rainbow jelly was fresh and yummy too :)

This was my second time here, after I saw other ramen shop was closed, we decided to eat here. We tried two different ramen and a gyoza:

[Tonkotsu Ramen Small Rp.30.000]
I wasn't so hungry so I ordered their small portion. It was a 70-ish gram of ramen noodle. Pork broth, with steamed pork and half egg. The broth was nice and thick and flavorful. Although, my bf thought that it was a little bit smelly. I didn't smell anything, though.

[TanTan Men Regular Rp.48.000]
Their regular TanTan has around 100gr of noodles. Chili, thick broth. My bf liked this, I wasn't in love with this. I think they had a bit of unfamiliar chili smell which I found rather odd. Anyway, they're able to complete your request if you wanted mashed/chopped garlics, and they also got delicious fried garlics to top it all. Yay.

[Yaki Gyoza 6pcs Rp.35.000]
A steamed, bit fried gyoza. After they steamed it, they fried it a little bit so that the only fried part was the bottom. I personally liked deep fried gyoza better. They got special vinegar for this too, which my bf love.

[Cold Ocha Rp.10.000]
Their ocha wasn't the best ocha. You could taste they probably mixed it with regular tea.

AMBIENCE:

This place got warm ambience, with some cute grandma and some women graffiti-ed on the white brick wall. We got our own pot to boil some water and cook the food, just like what you can find in most of restaurants serving suki.

FOOD:

We ordered their seafood combo, veggies, and also some pork belly. We got 2 different broth, one chicken and one shark fin. The different is the shark fin soup is a bit tastier than the chicken, and the chicken broth was clearer in color, and more plain in taste compared to shark fin broth. Their seafood was fresh and yummy. Their veggies too. What I wanna highlight is their sauce. Heaven of sauce! You're able to pick sambal, tomatoes, chopped garlics, peanut sauce, siomay sauce, and even cilantro leaf (I know, they got different name here but I always forgot what to call it in Chinese). Cilantro. One of my favorite herbs that made Tom Yum and Salsa sauce so delightful. You can get a handful of those here. Combine it with the sauce and put it in your soup. Yum! Their pork belly was also beautiful. They made thin slices out of it, so golden brown and crispy for the skin and so smooth and tender for the meat. Mouth-watering indeed. Their dessert was rather unusual. They use Chinese herbs and one that you can find in Chinese medicine for soup on it. One was like tofu and one like jelly.

This place is one of the oldest all you can eat BBQ in Jakarta. I went here for couple of times and my first time I ate here was around 8 years ago? 

The food was delicious, the meat were fresh, and there were many choices of chicken, fish, and beef, veggies, shabu-shabu. The sauce were okay too. You can grilled or boiled em in soup. You have to pay additional price for ordering juice.

They made pretty good pasta! Every time I went here, I always ordered their pasta, or baked rice. Their pasta was cooked well enough, and the seasoning were always fine. Not too bold, not too plain. Their baked rice was smooth, gooey, and creamy. The place was quite cute as well. Made a resemblance with a barn, with a bit touch of vintage. Friendly waitress.
