They say the best hiding spot is right under your nose, and Kyoyu is the epitome of the phrase. Located just beside the main toll-road from Tangerang to Jakarta (which I travel frequently), they manage to elude me for a long time. The dominantly white decór gives this place a bright and clean feeling while maintaining adequate seating and comfy atmosphere.

We ordered Signature Tori Karaage (8/10) for our starter. The cripsy golden brown layer belies the juicy, tasty chicken underneath it.

For the main dish we chose Chicken Katsudon (8/10) and Seafood Doria (9/10). The katsudon strikes a good balance between sweet and savoury with a thick piece of perfectly fried chicken cutlet. Meanwhile, seafood Doria is the showstopper for me though! The cheese baked rice features a generous amount of cheese and seafood, mixed with béchamel and tomato sauce that just dance in our mouth!

For drinks we ordered their Creamy Colada (8/10) and Sakura Matcha Latte (7/10), both of which are perfect accompaniment to our meal.

Olive Tree is located deep inside a housing area and sells delicious yet affordable pastries. Picture 1 & 2 are their Nutty Varlhona and Dirty Messy Dark Chocolate. Both are just perfectly sweet with crispy texture that is a delight to chew! They also provide a wide selection of drinks and heavy meals.
This is a perfect place to hang out or work from café as it is very comfy with good wifi connection. Be sure to walk around and snap some pictures as they have various spots that are just perfect for your OOTD pics!

The texture of the pancake is thin but not too crispy, and is a joy to eat.
Mixed Berry Pancake is a wonder to eat. The balance between the sour yet refreshing berry compote complements the sweet and rich ice cream!
Hawaiian Coconut is also a delight! The crunchy coconut flakes and macadamia mix well with soft and sweet banana! Served hot, this contrast with the cold Mixed Berry.
I recommend you immediately reserve a booking on your arrival to Grand Indonesia Mall, as they are very popular right now and may take a long time for you to get seated. My personal experience was 2 hours wait before my turn. But worry not, they will call you when your turn arrives!

Pork alert!!!
Katsutoku's pork katsu is sublime! The Pork Tenderloin is fried to beautiful golden brown with aroma that makes you salivate, and juicy pork that is tender in your mouth. Grind up some sesame and mix in their special katsu sauce for more fragrance and flavor!
Pork Sirloin Katsu Nabe is also not to be missed, the fluffy egg and flavorful dashi is an impeccable combination!
They will offer you 2 choices of soup for your set meal, which are Misoshiru and Tonjiru (we prefer the miso over tonjiru). Portion is also big! We almost couldn't finish everything!

I can only describe this as smooth, rich, and creamy! No wonder there's always a long queue at their store! Yes, the price is a bit high but totally worth it. Do get the additional gourmet cone/ cup as well to complete your experience.

Have you tried scarlett's cafe's Poured Tiramisu yet? This is one of the best tiramisu i've ever had! Soft, creamy cake, and the slightly bitter chocolate complement each other well. What's more, you have to pour it on top of the cake for that extra pleasing to the eye experience!
The Ritz' Cheese Fatcarons is also a delight. They retain their soft pleasing texture of macaroons that is easy to chew, combined with the saltiness from cheese that is heavenly.

Be sure to dine-in to enjoy their ambience with the Poured Tiramisu, as this menu is only available for dine-in.

I'm going get the bad thing out of the way first, which is the very limited parking space for car and the long queue (l waited an hour before going in).
Other than that, the ramen actually tastes good! The soup tastes very rich, the noodles was cooked perfectly, and the topping is just right! The portion is also very worth it with the price! The decor is also very unique where they have all this theater vibes inside the place. You need to check out all their movie parody posters!

Unagi Kabayaki : One of the highlights from this restaurant. The eel is grilled to perfection as the smoky aroma lingers, while the meat is so soft that I think it almost melts and paired with the slightly sweet sauce, this is indeed a dish I wouldn't mind to spend and come back for more

Chicken Nanban: This classic Japanese dish comprises of japanese syle fried chicken (often known as karaage) and tartar sauce. Despite its simplicity, Furusato's chicken nanban stands out in my opinion. The meat is fried properly leaving no oily aftertaste. Moreover, the sauce brushed on the chicken goes well with the slightly tangy tartar sauce leaving me feeling extremely satisfied.

Salmon Croquette: Ahh, salmon croquettes. Furusato's salmon croquettes are indeed a marvel. The crispy exterior from the panko and the meaty and creamy salmon chunks leave me wondering if I should share this or not. Oh, don't forget the sauce accompanying it as it brings the dish to another level.

Warabi Mochi: As a dessert, I thought that it would just be a palette cleanser with nothing extraordinary, but I would beg to differ. the texture of the mochi is chewy but remains pleasing to chew. Also, the roasted soybean flour (a.k.a kinako) lends a pleasing sweetness without being overwhelming. Despite being a dessert, this mochi should be one of the spotlights.

We did order some other dishes, namely; Seafood Okonomiyaki, Chicken Teriyaki, and California Roll Sushi. But they are pale in comparison with the dishes mentioned above as they were just ordinary japanese dishes which you can find anywhere.

Who knew there's an exquisite and delectable ramen shop tucked away in an office tower's parking area? Not me, that's for sure!
Yet, here I am pleasantly surprised with this absolute gem!
I ordered the Tomato Ramen, while the prep time was a bit long, it's an absolute delight and definitely worth the wait! The noodles are thin and of the perfect consistency right through the end. The broth is a slightly tangy, yet at the same time so refreshing and light it won't leave you with a heavy feeling in your belly. It takes me less than 5 minutes (!) to finish everything, right to the last drop of the broth.

Do call ahead and make a reservation before you come, as they have limited seatings.
