Crab Karaka Timika is quite a random find the city of Cibinong. From the outside this restaurant doesn't seemed like it's offering something special. However don't let its humble appearance fool you. It's offering one of the best seafood dishes with unreasonably decent price.

Bon(d) visited this place for the first time almost a year ago, just because we were on the way back to Jakarta and their large crab sign caught our attention. We had their seafood package and since then we kept on wondering when would we able to pay this place a visit and try out their lobster menu. (You read that right, this place is offering lobster thought it's located hundred of miles away from the nearest ocean. Quite random, I should say.)

Just yesterday, we had the chance to visit this place and ordered another seafood meal and this time, we also had a dish of lobster.

The crab, squid, shrimp, mussel bathe with Padang style sauce was just amazing. The seafood tasted fresh and the sauce managed to be a great fit.

The lobsters were fresh as well. We ordered them to be cooked in black pepper sauce. The plating was decent but the taste, the texture of the lobster meat, the attempt to get the sweet lobster meat, all of those contribute into turning the meal that I had, a wonderful experience.

Denny's in Kota Kasablanka is one of the restaurant offering you "American Diner Style" kind of vibe. However, this restaurant offers more than just American breakfast, aside from pancakes, eggs and beef bacon, Denny's could also hook you up with spaghetti, fried rice, burgers, steaks and many others. So, I guess it's safe to say that Denny's is an "American Diner - Indonesian Style".

The various meal they're offering actually overwhelms me. I decided to go for their Original Buttermilk Pancakes and coffee.

Two buttermilk pancakes came not long after I ordered them. The pancakes came with a dollop of butter on top and syrup in a jar. You have the option to bathe your pancakes with syrup - which I did - to increase the sweet taste and overall eating experience of the pancakes. The pancakes themself were soft and fluffy with a portion enough to fill you up.

Taliwang Bali seems to be one of the newer restaurant in Grand Indonesia (or at the very least for me, since I've never since the restaurant in my earlier visits to Grand Indonesia). Located in the crossing of West and East Mall, Taliwang Bali is an alternative if you're craving for local cuisine.

As the name suggested, this restaurant mainly offers Balinese culinary delights such as Ayam Taliwang, Bebek Betutu, Nasi Ikan Jimabaran and many others.

I had the Nasi Ayam Bakar Taliwang for lunch yesterday. what came was a magnificent fried chicken smothered in the signature sauce with sayur plecing and sambal.

The chicken tasted great. It was tender with strong spices. The plecing definitely complete the set perfectly.

Hey #Tastebuddies!

Last night we had dinner like the Dutch at @dijanskemang. This restaurant managed to bring a piece of Netherland to Kemang, entering the restaurant felt like entering an Oma's place with all of the wooden furniture and bluish Dutch knick knacks.

We had their kip compote, spaghetti for dinner and poffertjes for dessert.

The kip compote was basically a piece of chicken thigh, french fries with a piece of peach, smothered with light garlic gravy.

The chicken was tender, it ripped apart easily when you nudged it with your fork. The gravy fortified the chicken's taste and the peach will give you a sweet surprise amongst the savoury taste of your whole meal!

The poffertjes was served hot, topped with sugar and a with a block of butter in the middle of the plate. The melted butter will give the poffertjes its distinct taste.

Hey #Tastebuddies! A few weeks ago, we stumbled upon this aesthetic restaurant called Kolonial in the Menteng vicinity. Having interior dominated by red brick and wood surely has made Kolonial a cozy place to linger around in.

Kolonial has a spacious indoor section and a smoking room with a living tree in the back. Their parking space was adequate so finding a parking spot shouldn't be a problem.

Kolonial offer mainly western style food, but don't worry they also have various local culinary delights such as Panada. We had their pasta and Montreal Chicken with garlic cream sauce, and some calamary on the sides.

Their Montreal Chicken was a treat! The juicy chicken works well with the creamy garlic sauce. It also comes with baked potatoes on the side. I definitely recommend you to try this dish!

Middle Eastern delicacy is something close to my heart. Upon learning that Cipete has D'Izgara that offers AYCE Middle Eastern style bbq with terra cota grill and charcoal, I just had to visit and unleash the carnivorous beast within.

D'Izgara is one of those ayce restaurant that's worth more than it's charging. All of the package they offer comes with the option to pick up various selection of Middle Eastern appetizers and deserts from the buffet. Though they are very tempting, don't let them distract you from the main purpose of your visit! (Though, I recommend you to try their sambosas and their egg dish. To note that they also have coffee machine!)

Bon(d) had their regular package which protein consist of marinated chicken, blackpepper beef, meltique beef, and Moroccan spice beef.

The grilling process was just enjoyable. The heat and meat met causing that satisfying crackling and sizzling sounds.

In the taste department, D'izgara is also winning. Their meat is just the best! Definitely worth another visit!

Hey #Tastebuddies! A few days ago Bon(d) went to this lovely ramen shack in Jalan Gunawarman. Yoisho has a nice atmosphere with a lot of plants and a great outdoor section. You will literally see plants hanging even in the outdoor section.

Other than their natural atmosphere, they also offer killer ramen. We had their Spicy Miso Ramen and Signature Shio Ramen. What came were ramen with a lot of twist, they contain various exotic ingredients which you don't normally see inside of a ramen. I even tasted a hint of cashew nut in my ramen. My Spicy Miso ramen had a thick broth with a hint of nutty flavour.

We also had their Chicken Mandu -which was my favorite! -, chicken dumpling with salad on the side. The combination was perfect, especially the salad which was drizzled in sesame sauce.

Overall, Yoisho Ramen managed to perfectly combine a nice atmosphere with visionary dishes. Definitely will make your eating experience a surprising one.
