4.2Li Feng - Mandarin Oriental Hotel [ Thamrin, China ]
Extraordinary!
Li Feng is one of the quality restaurant that delivers both extraordinary food and amazing atmosphere. The ambience is so inviting, a classy chinese restaurant. The floor, the furniture, the walls, and the ceiling, oh, just wonderful.
These are some recommended menu that I've tried:
Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk: It was my favorite appetiser ever! Oh my, the skin was so crispy, the salted egg was just amazingly tasty. Wow <3
Swan Dumpling with Black Pepper Duck Meat: This is just a must if you visited this place. It was actually like a pastry, with duck meat with black pepper inside. The presentation was just spectacular. 6 lovely black swans on top, and there were smokes to dramatise from the poured dried ice. The taste was really nice.
Imperial Kung Fu Soup: This is a real deal. Stewed chicken and quail with matsutake, cordyceps flower and dried longan. You can taste the flavourful and tender chicken inside with fragrant and delicious broth. So the unique thing about this is you can eat the chicken and all with the chopstick, then you can drink the broth in the cup, after pouring it from the pot.
Sauteed Beef with Szechuan Pepper and Chili: The beef was so tender and rich, so delicious!!! <3 I live the spice, love the pepper, love the texture.
Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pineapple and Bell Pepper: The chicken was playful with all the pineapple sauce. It was shaped like a ball, and their presentation was just so pretty!
Three Dessert Platter: I was so glad to have this as a dessert. So this was a three step dessert. First of all, deep fried glutinous rice dumpling with frog jelly and coconut milk. So yummy, the texture was gooey and nice. Then, blueberry snow skin dumpling, fresh and sweet and a bit chill. Lastly, chilled mango with pomelo sago cream. I LOVE the mango! What an ambience
This place has been on my list for quite some time. For one who is in love with pasta, I am so excited to go here and try their food. Their ambience was exceptional, the way they spend their time for picking up their furniture, you'll get a classy, classic romantic vibe.
I tried various different dishes while I was here. What I really love was their Fettucine al Granchio. It is a black squid ink fettucine with tomato sauce and also crab meat. Wow, the texture was just amazing. The pasta was al dente, the tomato sauce and the crab meat were not too sweet nor to acidic, combined in one yummy creamy sauce. Real good! Other thing that caught my attention was their Pollo della mamma. The chicken was wrapped in pancetta, cooked for 4 hours in a terracotta pot with herbs, baby potatoes, and black olives. The chicken was so tender, fall apart in your mouth, fragrant, and the soup was just tasty. For the dessert section, I am so in love with their Panna Cotta! Their vanilla cream pudding was so smooth and fragrant, the sweetness is just right. The texture was perfect! The raspberry sauce was so fresh, and the prettiest thing is their caramelized sugar dome on top! - banh mi thit cha: Ini seperti sandwichnya vietnam. Rotinya cukup keras, dalemnya ada ayam dan spices. Not bad, tapi kalau dalamnya lebih generous pasti lebih mantap.
- bun bo hue (soun kuah daging): Yang ini cukup enak. So un nya lembut, kuah dagingnya wangi, pedesnya pas.
- ca phe sua da: Kopi vietnamnya dibikin didepan mata kita. Kopinya pekat, wangi, manisnya pas.

3.8Angke Restaurant [ Kelapa Gading, China ]
Guramenya lezaaattt
Biasa saya selalu ke angke yang di kota karena temen2 saya bilang disana lebih gereget rasanya. Cuma kemarin2 ii saya ultah dan dirayain disini jadi kami mampir kesini. Tempatnya lebih bagus dari yang kota, buat rasa juga actually not that bad.
Saya pesan:
- Fu yung hai
Tebel, sausnya berlimpah, tasty.
- Lindung fumak
Hampir sama seperti yang di kota. Lindungnya cukup garing, saosnya juga ok.
- Gurame asam manis
Ini surprisingly really good. Waktu itu makanannya ada banyak banget, lalu ini datengnya belakangan dan kita semua udah pada kenyang. Akhirnya saya makan gadoin. Garingnya super enak, rasanya juga tasty, ikannya empuk dan moist, saking enaknya akhirnya saya makan lagi beberapa potong padahal udah kekenyangan hahah.
- Bakmi ultah

Red velvetnya union deli sih uda lumayan melegenda ya, bisa jadi safe choice buat yang mau kasih kue ulang tahun rasa red velvet. Saya kali ini nyobain dalam bentuk kue whole. What I like about this cake itu teksturnya yang gak terlalu sampe dense dense amat walau ga airy, cuma rasanya bisa dense and thick, coklatnya berasa, lalu cream cheesenya juga asinnya pas dan teksturnya cocok sama kuenya. Yang jadi bintangnya sih uda pasti kacang diatasnya yang crunchy dan cukup manis ya. The peanut definitely the one differentiating this cake from other red velvet cake.Â

4.8Shabu Shabu Gen [ Thamrin, Jepang ]
Out of this world!
Was filled with excitement to try this premium shabu-shabu restaurant that serves Hida beef. Hida beef is one of the best premium beef you could find in Japan, its quality meets the highest standards, and it rivals kobe beef.
The package offers us with:
- Salad
Fresh, a bit sour in a good way. The oil and the acid was just right to awaken the taste.
- Chawan Mushi
Light in texture, juicy shrimp, great taste.
- A4 kagoshima sirloin & ribeye
- A5 kagoshima sirloin & ribeye
Although we haven't tried the star of today's menu, I must admit I was already blown away when I saw the marbles on these beef. Remember the 10 seconds rules, when you dip this gorgeous baby, still a lil bit red, and you can feel it extravagant tenderness. They provides you with 3 sauce. My favorite is their sesame sauce. It adds depth to the taste of the beef. A4 and A5 is the grade of the beef, A5 grade is higher than A4, but I guess, for our standard eye as a non beef expert, I can't really say there's a major difference.
- A5 hida sirloin & ribeye
The star of today's menu! Every time I read or heard someone explaining so descriptive about the beef that melts in their mouth, I thought, how could that possibly be? And on this very moment my wondering has been answered. Those incredible beef is intensely patterned by wonderful marbles, when I dipped it a little and then ate it, it crumbles in my mouth like the beef wants to say to my tongue and teeth, "Hey, I don't want you to be tired, just touch me a little, I'll disintegrate myself and dance my way down to your belly." It was quite sensational.
- Vegetables
Then, there's veggies. A lot of different veggies which were fresh and yummy! :) And, the soup already has those glorious beef broth from before cooking which brings the taste more flavor.
- Ramen
The ramen was so good. The texture was so gooey, and chewy, it's like the most chewy ramen I've ever tasted. And with the broth from the beef and veggies, made the last meal taste even more wonderful. I learned that there's an art on they way they serves their food. First is the meat, then the veggies, then ramen, all to achieve the maximisation of the broth.
- Desserts
They have apple cherry cinnamon ice cream, warabi mochi, and yuzu jelly for dessert. The ice cream was out of this world. So soft and smooth in texture, I can't feel one tiny crumb of a little bit of smoothen ice in it. The apple cherry was zesty, while the cinnamon was sweet and fragrant. The mochi was so gooey and soft!! The gooeyness is just amazing. Lastly, the yuzu jelly, so fresh and sour. Good way to finish my delightful meal.

Kurang Cengli
Pertamanya cukup excited mau kesini karena keliatannya tmptnya pewe dan bagus buat foto2. Ternyata tempatnya lebih kecil dari yang dibayangkan. Ya karena outdoor, lumayan bagus sih memang untuk foto2.
Kami disini pesan beberapa menu buat sharing seperti Pizza, churros, sama Slow cooked braised beef. Buat minumannya saya pesan orange juice. Minumannya sih segar dan enak.
Cuma, buat makanan menurut saya standar semua. Pizza nya doughnya agak kering, atasnya juga biasa aja, lalu untuk churros rasanya sih not bad, tapi porsinya sedikit sekali, cuma 3. Slow cooked beefnya lumayan, mashed potatonya not bad. Karena ini outdoor, kadang tangan harus bergerak usir2 lalat juga ya hehe.

Tempatnya lucu, rasanya biasa
As a pasta lover, I'm pretty excited to try this restaurant. Why? Karena disini kita bisa bikin custom pasta! Dari pastanya, topping, sauce, everything kita bisa piluh sesuai yang kita mau. Waktu itu saya pesan spaghetti, sauce nya saya pilih pesto, lalu atasnya mushroom dan parmesan. At first toppingnya cuma mushroom aja, soalnya di pestonya sendiri mereka kasih tulisan ada pine nuts, basil, etc so I think it's a more like a crunchy sauce. Ternyata waktu datang, sausnya lumayan plain :( ga bisa taste pine nutsnya sama sekali. Wakau pesto diblender, biasa kalau kacangnya komposisinya normal, masih bisa rasain sedikit. Lalu rasanya juga very plain, ternyata mereka sepertinya belum kasih garam. Memang kita diberi salt and pepper di meja, cuma saya lumayan kaget waktu rasain plainnya pesto, I never taste a pesto that plain before. Lalu karena terlalu plain, saya pesan tambahan parmesan dan minta ditambah salt. Waktu dateng, jadinya keasinan haha. Pastanya juga ga terlalu aldente, and jatoh2nya harganya lebih mahal dibanding beli di restoran pasta lainnya yang rasanya lebih enak. Well, at least tempatnya lumayan bagus.

3.6Mister Sunday [ Senopati, Kafe ]
Kopinya enak
Mister Sunday ini lumayan susah ya buat dicari, karena waktu kami dateng kesini sih dia ga ada plangnya dari luar yang keliatan dengan jelas. Lalu bangunan bawahnya lagi di renovasi juga, jadi tempatnya ada di atas. Interiornya lumayan pw buat kongkow2.
Latte
Kopinya pekat dan wangi! Creamy, dan susunya juga gak kebanyakan. Wah, buat yang suka banget sama kopi pasti suka ini lattenya :) Saya actually pesan yang dingin, cuman karena dia kasih panas, akhirnya saya dikasi segelas es batu. Waktu ini kopi dibagi dua dengan es batunya setengah porsi, lalu diaduk, masih lumayan pekat kopinya. Sedap.
Brownies cream cheese
Browniesnya cukup unik menurut saya karena cream cheesenya itu goes pretty well sama browniesnya. Browniesnya sendiri lumayan teksturnya, gak lembek2 amat, coklatnya not bad, lalu cream cheesenya lembut asin, perpaduan yang unik!
Pork Belly open Brioche Sandwich sambal matah
Pork bellynya porsinya sih gak terlalu banyak. Paket ramadhan buanyaakk
TGIF ini dekornya cukup lumayan retro dan unik. Furniture, makanan, sampai ke dekorasi2nya berbau barat. Kami disini cobain menu baru mereka yang dilaunching bulan ini, terutama buat buka puasa :)
Nama menunya adalah: Ramadhan Chicken Platter (4pax) Rp.389.900++. Ini bisa buat 4 orang buat cowo-cowo yang suka makan, dan sekitar 5 buat para ciwi2 :)
Isinya:Ayam, yang terdiri dari: Sriracha marinated grilled chicken breast, BBQ Roasted Chicken, dan Juicy pan seared black pepper chicken tight. Porsi ayamnya sendiri lumayan banyak. Untuk sausnya personally saya suka yang black pepper. Untuk teksturnya, yang roasted lebih lembut dan juicy, tapi overal semuanya enak.
Caesar Salad: fresh, manis asam, gak terlalu banyak mayo nya jadi gak eneg.
Creamy farfalle alfredo pasta: ini surprisingly taste real good. Creamynya pas, kejunya berasa banget, lalu pastanya aldente, dan porsinya buanyaaakk :)
Ada juga beberapa side dish seperti fresh coleslaw, it's a good coleslaw; crispy onion rings yang tasty, warm garlic bread and grilled new orleans corn cobs.
Selain itu, kita juga dikasih coba menu yang akan dilaunching setelah menu lebaran, which is World Wings Tour! Ada beberapa rasa, yang kami coba adalah
- Texas spiced BBQ wings (US)
- Garlic parmesan wings (Italy)
- Roasted Sriracha chicken wings (Thai)
I personally love these chicken wings! It was so flavorful, ayamnya sendiri juga lembut di dalam,Last, for dessert we tried their Brownie Obsession. Wah ini sih lumayan jagoan ya dessertnya! Brownie nya lembut, coklatnya berasa banget, teksturnya juga pas, gak kering dan ga kelembekan. Vanilla ice cream on topnya juga enak, creamy dan ga terlalu manis. Perfect dessert for a sweet tooth ;)
