Altitude has a real good ambiance, suitable for fine dining. The place is nicely furnished, the lights are dimmed, the waitress are friendly. We tried a few of their dishes.
Appetizer: Grilled Watermelon Salad Fresh watermelon, served with feta cheese, arugula, and 25-years aged balsamic. The aragula and balsamic sauce accompanied the other dish well.
Scallop Filled Squid Rings This is one of my favorite appetizer. Love the scallop. It was buttery, bite-able amount, and has enough seasonings. This dish is served with crispy Pancetta, raspberry bacon jam with a parsley shallot plush. The sauce was also amazing!
Apple Mango and Prawn Cocktail The presentation was pretty, the prawn was enough, and the mango is quite sweet.
Triple Cooked Wagyu Ox Tongue This is my favorite appetizer! The ox tongue was so tender, it was very well seasoned. They give creamed hazelnut dukkah as sauce, which was so creamy and wonderful.
Main Dish: Oven Baked Salted Egg Hollandaise Black Cod The cod was so tender, buttery and not fishy for me. It was accompanied with tasty purple sweet potato and asparagus. Great dish!
Bistecca a la Altitude and Picanha These dishes were the star of main dish. Both of them were high quality wagyu. One is more juicy, and one is more meaty. Both were so tender and delicious. It is served with various different sides that you can order, such as whipped potatoes, confit shallots, truffle fries, buttered spiced corn and crisp, and buttered broccoli gratin.
Assorted Desserts: The dessert are in buffet style. They have a lot of variation of dessert, from assorted mini cakes, macaroons, ice cream, muffins, to a nicely baked cakes of many flavors. I tried their baileys cake and it was wonderful! Their ice creams too, are high quality.
Was filled with excitement to try this premium shabu-shabu restaurant that serves Hida beef. Hida beef is one of the best premium beef you could find in Japan, its quality meets the highest standards, and it rivals kobe beef.
The package offers us with:
- Salad Fresh, a bit sour in a good way. The oil and the acid was just right to awaken the taste.
- Chawan Mushi Light in texture, juicy shrimp, great taste.
- A4 kagoshima sirloin & ribeye - A5 kagoshima sirloin & ribeye Although we haven't tried the star of today's menu, I must admit I was already blown away when I saw the marbles on these beef. Remember the 10 seconds rules, when you dip this gorgeous baby, still a lil bit red, and you can feel it extravagant tenderness. They provides you with 3 sauce. My favorite is their sesame sauce. It adds depth to the taste of the beef. A4 and A5 is the grade of the beef, A5 grade is higher than A4, but I guess, for our standard eye as a non beef expert, I can't really say there's a major difference.
- A5 hida sirloin & ribeye The star of today's menu! Every time I read or heard someone explaining so descriptive about the beef that melts in their mouth, I thought, how could that possibly be? And on this very moment my wondering has been answered. Those incredible beef is intensely patterned by wonderful marbles, when I dipped it a little and then ate it, it crumbles in my mouth like the beef wants to say to my tongue and teeth, "Hey, I don't want you to be tired, just touch me a little, I'll disintegrate myself and dance my way down to your belly." It was quite sensational.
- Vegetables Then, there's veggies. A lot of different veggies which were fresh and yummy! :) And, the soup already has those glorious beef broth from before cooking which brings the taste more flavor.
- Ramen The ramen was so good. The texture was so gooey, and chewy, it's like the most chewy ramen I've ever tasted. And with the broth from the beef and veggies, made the last meal taste even more wonderful. I learned that there's an art on they way they serves their food. First is the meat, then the veggies, then ramen, all to achieve the maximisation of the broth.
- Desserts They have apple cherry cinnamon ice cream, warabi mochi, and yuzu jelly for dessert. The ice cream was out of this world. So soft and smooth in texture, I can't feel one tiny crumb of a little bit of smoothen ice in it. The apple cherry was zesty, while the cinnamon was sweet and fragrant. The mochi was so gooey and soft!! The gooeyness is just amazing. Lastly, the yuzu jelly, so fresh and sour. Good way to finish my delightful meal.
The whole package cost for IDR 1.850.000++ per pax, but considering you'll have to pay more or less the same price for kobe beef (while you have to fly to japan first, and I guess the portion and the package would be a whole less than this), why not try this premium Japanese beef here, at your convenient.
Pretty much a hidden gem di SCBD, Jakarta. Gue kesini dan langsung suka banget sama interior dan vibe-nya. Kartu namanya, lampu-lampu,dekornya, bahkan toiletnya semuanya super cantik! Di depannya ada bar juga loh.
1 Time Band Camp 60k Salah satu mocktail favorit di sini. Minuman ini terdiri dari green apple, cucumber mint scrub, dan ginger beer. Karena ada ginger beernya, jadi mayan unik.
Crispy Pork Belly 155k Ini bener2 the best pork belly I've ever tasted so far! Kulitnya garing banget dan gurih, dan dalemnya. Bener2 tender bangett!! Empuk, gurih, dan ga bau sama sekali. Sampe terharu makannya saking enaknya. Mereka juga pake potato puree dan mustard sauce, perpaduan yang bener2 bikin lidah bergoyang.
Crispy Crickets 75k Pertama kali akhirnya mau coba makan jangkrik. Sebenernya gue geli sih kalo makan begini2an, apalagi pas liat bentuknyaaa hiiiyyy. Cuma akhirnya nyobain satu biji dan langsung dikunyah di gigi gitu hahaha. Turns out rasanya asin gurih, karena emang uda digoreng sampe garng banget. Kaya kerupuk gitu sih, plus banyak tempe, dan bawang putih goreng juga jadi ga terlalu berasa makan jangkrik banget.
Cendol Cake 65k Kuenya super lembut banget, tapi gak kosong. Gue suka banget teksturnya. Rasanya juga manisnya pas dan rasa cendolnya juga berasa.
Rum Cake 95k Kue rum termantap! Biasa kalau ada kue rum tuh pasti rasa rumnya cuma dikiiiitt. Nah ini perpaduan coklat dan rumnya luar biasa. Rasa rumnya bener2 nampol, coklatnya juga pahitnya pas. Tekstur kue dan krimnya juga lembut dan rich. Love!
Roasted Chicken 110k Ayamnya tender, sausnya juga gurih. Porsinya cukup banyak. Kulitnya juga garing.
Roasted Seabass 165k Ikan dengan sambal pecel butter, alpukat, dan shitake mushroom. Ikannya sendiri teksturnya lembut, gak bau amis, lalu bumbunya juga cukup unik dan gurih.
Pina Social 60k Minuman mocktail lainnya yang bentuknya cute banget kaya lagi di pinggir pantai. Dia pake lemongrass syrup, coconut cream, nanas, jeruk, dan coke. Perpaduan antara nanas dan krim coconutnya betul-betul cantik.
Pelayanan di sini juga super ramah, baik, dan cepat. Wah, mantep banget deh ini restoran :)
Momozen merupakan satu restoran baru di Thamrin, letaknya di Menara Plaza. Interiornya is a mixture of wooden Japanese with hip decorations and arts. Tema buat restoran ini sih definitely TRUFFLES! Hampir semua menunya ada trufflenya, which I am not complaining at all <3 Di sini gue coba beberapa menunya:
Truffle Caviar Somen (cold tapas) Salah satu appetizer andalan mereka, biasa disebut cold tapas juga. Ini sejenis soba, dengan truffle dan caviar di atasnya. Pastanya kenyal sempurna, digulung super cantik, dan dimakan bareng few of the best toppings: truffle dan caviar! Truffleny bukan cuma harum2 dikit, tapi betul2 wangi!
ToMorokoshi Soup One of a must try in here too. Buat gue sih ini more like an elevated comfort food. Soupnya terbuat dari corn puree yang super creamy, dan toppingnya ada nori, roasted baby corn and cauliflower, carrot, and petals. Gue personally suka banget sih sama rasa dan tekstur dari soupnya hihi.
Truffle Donabe Gohan Uniknya dari yang satu ini, mereka ga kasih nasi yang langsung jadi, tapi mereka kasi liat juga cara ngaduk dan bumbu-bumbu yang dipakai di dalemnya, and let me tell you itu truffle bulet diparut buanyak ke dalem nasinya! Yes! Japanese rice ini juga dimasak di dalem clay pot. Terus kita bisa makan with homemade pickles as a condiments.
Shiogama Beef Definitely my favorite di sini (I love beef haha). Disajikan di atas salt crust, dengan 5 macam sauce. Grilled striploinnya disirem butter shoyu and truffle konbu, the taste of grilled quality meat alone dengan tingkat kematangan medium aja udah real good, but with a right sauce, in this case the butter shoyu and truffle konbu, GOD! Your mouth will definitely thank youuu!
Baby Chic Truffle Rice Last but not least, a whole baby chicken, french roasted stuffed with rice and topped with freshly sliced truffle! Ayamnya lembut dan wangi, terus nasinya super pulen karena uda dimasak di dalam ayam, jadi sari kaldunya juga uda nyerep ke nasinya. And don't forget about the tasty skin!
Gue bener-bener puas sih sama makanan di sini. Apalagi sebagai pecinta truffle, ini buat gue pretty much heaven on earth (terharu). Semua makanan yang gue coba betul-betul enak dan quality of their ingredients is also top notch! Well done!
I must admit, finding this place was one of my most pleasant experience I've ever had in my culinary life. We arrived at one part of the hotel, and asked where was this Porte located. The bellboy told us it's on the other side of the hotel. They had few golf cars, really nice condition, ready to take us there. The driver was a nice young woman, dressed in white. Hmm. Pretty good service.
When I first arrived there, I thought, this was certainly not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But the restaurant was indeed nice! Oh, so this is where I start the review about the restaurant :)
The place got jazzy-lounge ambience. Dimmed light, cozy furniture, modern lamp, and jazzy music. All was neat and tidy, and the music added a class to its ambience.
[Gai Ping Rp.45.000]
Those grilling sound it made was just wonderful. The presentation of the food, already caught my eyes. This very first food I ordered here, brought a pleasant joy. I thought, oh maybe it was just the look. So I gave it a try. And boy, it was amazing! Juicy, tasty chicken dipped in amazing sour-spicy sauce! And the best part was that the chicken has never been cold since the cute cubical grill was still on even until the very end.
[Kway Pad Kee Mao - Gai Rp.55.000]
This was like a kwetiau. They put in their description as a spicy, fried drunken noodles. We chose chicken, in Thai is called Gai. They had 3 seasonings to accompanied this dish: some kind of vinegar and chili, chili powder, and sugar! I mixed every bit of all into the dish and landedy first bite. Oh my God! Foodgasm. The sour, the sweet, spice, all just danced so well with the tasty Kway Pad. I was enjoying this food while by bf said that he's too having a really great time with his dish. After eating half, we exchanged our food. Oh, any they gave a really generous portion for this one so don't worry coming here with an empty stomach.
[Khao Pad Tom Yum Rp.70.000]
This is a Tom Yum Fried Rice. They gave some kind of vinegar with green pepper / chili for the sauce. Another one to enhance the sour. I love sour food so I definitely loving this. Oh anyway, if you don't like sour food then maybe you just try the Gai Ping, if you wanna try something not too sour, or their mango sticky rice. Since any other Thai food here were probably sour. But in a great way!! The fried rice was just amazing! Tom yum taste, nice and gigantic portion too! So basically, when I went to a nice restaurant with this price range, if I already found that their place was nice, their food was incredibly delicious, I mostly got a regular or small portion. But this restaurant just got it all. The generous portion? The amazing taste, pleasant place, really good service too (later I'll write more about this). Me and my bf was just so very full adter eating 3/4 of our dishes. We still got dessert! I told my bf, this place kept surprising me, if their dessert is delicious, I'll definitely give 5 on my rating. (Whoops, spoiled the ending :p)
[Khao Niao Mamuang Rp.45.000]
Dessert. The tie breaker. Mango sticky rice. Last time I tried this kind of dessert in Indonesian restaurant which specialized in Thai food, the taste was absolutely not yummy. So much different than the one that I had in Thailand. So I lost a little hope on good mango sticky rice in here. But when I saw the presentation of this dessert, I gained a little bit of hope. Hmm, this looks yummy. I gave it a try. And again, oh. My. God. Amazing!!! The sticky rice was so gooey in a good way, the coconut milk was high quality, so thick and smooth and delicious, and the mango was fresh. Altogether they and I had my last foodgasm here. God. Just. Godddd thank Goddd you created a human that could made this heaven's food be tasted in my very tounge. I just. Can't just. Ahh.

Peach syrup, passion fruit syrup, orange juice and soda water, plus cherry on top. Refreshing! Sweet and sour, but a little hard to slurp with little straw since there's quite a lot of passion fruit inside.
What a lovely waitress and waiter they had! They were polite, responsive, and so nice. They cleared up the plate without being asked, offered to bring out the dessert after seeing us slowing down eating, and almost finished our main dishes, and fulfill our request fast and politely.
What a little hidden gem, this restaurant is! In the midst of nowhere, you'll never think that you could find such a nice restaurant, with amazing ambience, food (taste, presentation and portion), and service. Having such a wonderful time here. Definitely will recommend this to anyone I've known, and will be back soon <3

Marina kitchen ini lokasinya ada di deretan ruko2, lahan parkirnya luas, dan interiornya juga cukup menarik dan rapih. Memang kalau mau kesini harus diliat baik2 gps nya dan plang nya karena agak kecil tulisannya. Kemarin waktu kami kesini ramai2, malah sempet nyasar sampe masuk ke ancol dulu hehe.
We ordered quite a lot disini. Marina kitchen ini baru buka sekitar 3 bulan, mereka specialized in chinese cuisine and dim sum. Katanya kalau orang deket kompleks pada lari pagi, suka mampir buat sarapan disini :) berikut menu2 yang kami coba disini:
Dimsum Kami cobain banyak dimsum disini, salah satu yang jadi sorotan utamanya adalah Onde Isi Wijen Hitam ala Marina. Saya ini pecinta onde dan mochi, dan waktu pertama liat bentuknya, I thought lumayan unik dan appealing. Mochinya sendiri kulitnya kenyalnya pas dan wijennya wangi. Yang beda itu dalemnya, biasa onde dalemnya agak keras, nah ini agak semi cair cuma tetep dense dan bertekstur. Rasa black sesamenya juga jagoan. Bawahnya ada jelly, which was quite refreshing. Siomaynya not bad, Kuo Tienya dalemnya generous dan rasanya juga enak, dan terakhir kami makan Durian Goreng ala Marina. Duriannya enak!! Wangi, pulen, dan legit. Luarnya kriuk2. Ohya ada satu lagi, bakpao telur asin. Ini juga enak. Gak amis sama sekali, telur asinnya di dalamnya lumayan manis, bentuknya mirip vla.
Ikan Malas Goreng Saus Hongkong Dari beberapa jenis ikan, saya lumayan suka tekstur lembutnya ikan malas. Walau digoreng, dalemnya tetap lembut dan luarnya crunchy. Seasoningnya pas. Biasa ikan malas memang di tim, cuma kalau bisa dimasak dengan tepat tanpa mengurangi kualitas tendernya tekstur ikan, we should applaud the chef.
Buncis XO Buncisnya berkualitas, seasoningnya pas dan gurih, dan matangnya juga pas, gak lembek atau kekerasan.
Sapo Terong Ayam Ini sapo banyak peminatnya :) terongnya lembut, kuahnya wangi, dan rasa sapo di hot pot nya betul2 menggoda :9
Mie Goreng Seafood & Kwetiau Goreng Sapi Ini salah satu menu favorit saya disini. Pertama2 mienya sungguh luar biasa dari kenyalnya, bumbunya, sampai ke toppingnya. Bumbunya betul2 nikmat dan gurih, minyaknya juga pas, enak banget pokoknya! Kwetiaunya is the same thing. Dari segi rasa, enaknya sama, sapinya lembut, dan kwetiaunya sendiri bentuknya beda dari biasanya. Lebih lebar dan tipis, namun tetap kenyal dan enak.
Sapi Lada Hitam Dari sekian banyak sapi lada hitam yang pernah saya coba, sapi lada hitam ini definitely the best. First. Sapinya. Sapinya betul2 tender and juicy. Imagine eating medium or medium well wagyu. Nah seperti itulah teksturnya. Rasanya sendiri enak dan bawangnya banyak dan wangi. Top notch!
Udang Goreng Telur Asin Sekali lagi. Udangnya. Betul2 enak. Pertama, tekstur udangnya betul2 juicy dan empuk dan gak kering, gendut2 juga. Saus telur asinnya pun uenak. Saya sampe ketagihan makannya.
Overall it was a delightful culinary experience. Pelayanannya cepat dan ramah, harganya tidak terlalu mahal, makanannya rasanya enak2, dan tempatnya pun baik. One of my highlight is their food quality. I admire how well prepared they are in choosing the finest meat and ingredients for their food. I mean lain soal if I was eating in a fine dining or more like an expensive restaurant, I expect them to provide food with quality dong. Tapi ini bukan restaurant yang mahal, namun kualitas dagingnya betul2 di cermati dan dipilih dengan baik. Thumbs up! :)
This restaurant is one of a kind. Some of the restaurants give you a total foodgasm experience, that I always see as the number one priority as a base of giving rating. But there are certain factors that must be taken into account. For example, you want to rate an ice cream that is the best thing that ever happened to your tounge, but its price was 100x than what it should be, which is totally a ripped off, and its service and ambience was bad. It doesn't deserved a 5/5 although their food haunts you at night. You'll probably took away 0.5 - 1 of their rating. You see what I'm talking about, right?
Now, there are few restaurants, that I quite admire. The gap between their price and quality of food, drinks, service and ambience was a lot smaller than other restaurants. Kopiplatinum is one of them.
AMBIENCE: Kopiplatinum is actually an improved version of platinum. They moved downstairs, and made the ambience classier than before. Glasses, simple plain sofa's and chair with wooden accessories, yellowish lighting, and minimalist-a-bit-vintage decoration nailed to the wall.
Not only the room, they renovated the menu too. Now it's a lot simpler, modern, and they sold a lot variation of coffee too now.
[Teriyaki Chicken Noodle Rp.25.500] The noodles was well-cooked so that it's not soggy or too gooey, and you can taste the salt and seasoning to the core of the noodles, which is great. The teriyaki chicken was not bad, and the portion was okay.
[XO Fried Rice Rp.28.100] They gave you gigantic portion of this one, tasty and good, and the plus point is they didn't give too much msg, I always feel so thirsty after eating most of fried rice I bought from a restaurant, but after eating this one, I feel ok.
[Hong Kong Spring Rolls Rp.17.300] It was tiny. We get 6 little spring rolls, that was cooked quite well actually. The outer part was golden brown and crispy, with a lot of veggies inside, it was not too tasty, but I think they made it that way so when you dipped it into the sauce, the taste could blend well. Although the portion was small, I think the price was relatively cheap.
[Strawberry Juice Rp.19.000] Regular strawberry juice. They use sugar and probably a little bit of syrup to made it so yummy. But I can feel its freshness blender too with ice.
[Ca Phe Da Rp.24.500] I'm so happy to find this! It was a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, with unique presentation of how they made it, and the taste was just wonderful. The coffee was bold enough, but they put enough milk and cream in it so you can still feel just a little bit of sweet. One of my favorite coffee, that I declared! And only for 24.500, you'll have the same quality of coffee you get in coffee shop.
My friend also ordered their Banana Milk Soda (Rp.20.000) which is the downside since we can't taste the banana at all. Marjan syrup with milk is all we can taste. There's also Crispy Hot Chicken hot+sour sc Hainam (Rp.28.100), soft and smooth rice and tender chicken. And also, Eiskaffee (Rp.24.500), some kind o affogato, with less coffee than usual, but again, the title isn't affogato, it said Eiskaffee, so sensing ice cream with coffee is quite just.
SERVICE: Nice and quick service, and one thing that caught my eyes is they didn't charge service on the bills. Only 10% tax. So you could leave some tips :)

Pertama kali tiba di tempat ini, saya langsung terkesima sama interiornya. Mereka betul2 niat sekali and put a lot of thought to build up the ambience, banyak kultur dan warna2 Jepang menghiasi atmosfer tempat ini. Kami disini pesan beberapa makanan:
Sashimi stairs - all salmon (Rp.250.000) Bentuk tampilannya unik sekali, menyerupai tangga yang terbuat dari kayu. Dalemnya ada sashimi salmon dan sedikit sushi2 lainnya. Sangat atraktif buat difoto. Buat sashiminya, fresh dan kualitasnya baik. Warnanya juga segar dan teksturnya masih baik.
Foie gras wagyu don (Rp.350.000) Buat harga, yang satu ini lumayan mahal dibanding yang lain, tapi mungkin karena pakai foie gras dan wagyu australia. Rasanya enak! Nasinya pulen, wagyunya diiris tipis dan seasoned perfectly, dan foie gras nya juga tidak terlalu mendominasi rasa dan cooked well. Makannya, semua diaduk dicampur rata.
Golfball sushi (Rp.60.000) Yang satu ini lucu sekali! Sushinya dibentuk bulat2 dan di wrapped atasnya dengan salmon dan tuna. Imut dan makannya juga enak sekali lep langsung habis. Buat rasa dan tekstur, masih sama dengan yang atas. Kualitasnya bagus. Nasinya juga lumayan nempel tapi tidak terlalu gooey.
Wagyu nigiri aust wagyu (Rp.70.000) Wagyunya diiris tipis, dan ada sedikit nasi di bawahnya. Rasanya sangat lembut dan aromanya juga tercium. Tekstur dagingnya juga enak, tidak terlalu keras tapi tidak raw, dan seasoningnya cukup berasa. Lumayan berasa kecap asin Jepangnya yang ini.
Mugicha (Rp.40.000) Mugicha ini minuman khas asal Jepang yang katanya biasa diminum di musim panas, buat pengganti mineral yang hilang. Rasanya sendiri lumayan mirip ocha, cuma ada sedikit bau2 mineral di dalamnya. Lumayan unik sih buat saya, I like it hot or cold.
Overal makan disini quite a memorable experience for me. Dari interiornya, kualitas makanannya, hingga pelayannya semua mau capture the essense of Japan. Saya selalu respect with restaurant yang all out seperti ini. Definitely worth the try!

Saya udah beberapa kali pesen takoyaki, nah kali ini nyobain takoyaki ini enak sekalih! Rasanya enak, teksturnya pas, rasanya gak berlebihan dan yg terpenting gak amis! Dalemnya pun lumayan banyak dan tepungnya ga lebay. Luarnya crispy dan dalemnya lembut. Harganya juga murah lagi! Mau nyemil2 dikit eh malah jadi pengen :p Yummy!
It is the bread with the FINEST quality. If you go to Grand Indonesia, don't forget to take a quick visit to this bakery beside Ranch Market before 8.30-ish pm since they most probably sold out after that. Their famous best seller bread. It's just a regular chocolate bread if you see on appearance, but when you landed your first bite. My oh my! The bread is soft and chewy, while inside, the liquid chocolatey bomb burst its goodness. God, I love it! <3 the best thing about it is the chocolate is still lava-like even after you leave it after night. Definitely will become my new have-to-grab when I swing by to GI.
