The best menu out of what we got.
Salmon was grilled nicely with fragrant lemongrass smell. Uduk risotto had rich creamy flavour that was balanced with the spiciness of sambal creme.
Prawn Linguine (85k) 6.5/10
Linguine cooked with grilled prawn and jimbaran sauce. Pasta was a bit overcooked imo. Am allergic to shrimp so didn’t try the protein. The jimbaran sauce tasted more like opor sauce to me.
Fish Tartar Sandwich (75k) 6/10
Deep fried cod with spicy tartar sauce. Tasted like normal tartar though, not spicy at all. Romaine and cabbage were plenty and fresh, but fish was not as crispy as I’d hoped. Had high expectation cause I’ve seen people raving about this. There’s a nice smokiness from the grilled mochi, however it came cold so mochi was tough to chew. I prefer Kei Dining’s over this one.
Sashimi Mori (198k) ⭐️8/10
One of the loveliest presentation for sashimi platter. Good variety of fishes with quite thick cuts. I like that they gave us more than salmon and tuna (I think we got mackarel, squid, and hamachi).
Uo Kara Nabe Small (108k) 5.5/10
Fish tasted off (what we call ‘bau tanah’), even though it was fried first. Tofu and veggies were fresh. Soup itself tasted okay (you can request the spicy level) if slightly too salty. One, if not the only, store to get swirl ice cream in West Jakarta. Located inside Afro outlet with limited seatings available. Reviews of each flavour ranked from most to least favourite. Every couple of months they do change the menu, though you can always opt to customise your own flavour. Price was 40k per cup.

Apple Pie ⭐️
My favourite flavour in yasss, has nice sweet-sour combo with some actual apple chunks inside. Apple sauce had nice sourness to it that was balanced well with the cinnamon sweetness of biscoff sauce.
Goma Kinako ⭐️
Really strongly pronounced sesame ice cream, very nutty, caramelly, and almost bitter. Nice addition of jolly pong, kinako powder, and brown sugar syrup. Really lovely and unique flavour.
Cookie Dough
The sweetest among all the flavour, they did a good job mimicking cookie dough flavour. Chocolate chips and cookie sauce also work well with the milky taste. This one had the most interesting texture, probably from cookie crumb being mixed in the swirl?
Deconstructed Tiramisu
Strong coffee base, not very sweet. Has all the component of traditional tiramisu (ladyfinger and mascarpone) just in ice cream form. I think adding rum will bring the flavour up a notch🤭.
Strawberry Cornflakes
Another option for those who prefer fruit based flavour, but it’s personally not tart enough for me. The strawberry syrup was also quite sweet. Taste like strawberry milkshake with cornflake. Regal was ground too finely to add discernible flavour, if anything it tasted too much like powder.
Choco Mint

Kuzu Incik Hunkar Begendi (425k) ⭐️8.5/10
Lamb shank with pureed aubergine and mozzarella cheese. Possibly the best lamb I’ve had in Jakarta, not gamey at all, well marinated, fall of the bone tender, juicy, and succulent. The aubergine reminded me of baba ganoush (one of my go to dips) plus some mozzarella cheese. Minus for being too salty though.
Pide (130k) ⭐️ 8/10
Feta cheese, mozarella, parsley in a boat shaped flat bread. Reminds me of pizza but better as the curled dough edge was crispier and there’s more filling to bread ratio vs traditional pizza. Feta provided nice salty-briny cheese profile while mozzarella gave milky creaminess, rounded off by fresh parsley.
Dana Lahmacun (130k) 7/10
Similar to Pide, Lahmacun is also flat bread with ground meat topping, but it has round shape and is typically much thinner vs pide. The beef itself was mixed with seasonings such as onions, tomatoes, paprika, and cumin. Wanted to pick other option vs lamb but beef was so-so.
Fatoush Salad (105k) ⭐️8/10
Very fresh and refreshing. Veggies were fresh, fried pita/khubs gave nice crunch, and generous amount of feta on top. Good side for the heavier mains we got.
Coban Tava (185k) 6/10
Lamb stew with tomato and garlic, served with pide ekmegi. Reminds me of soupier version of shakshouka (minus the egg), meant to be dipped using the bread. Also too salty.
Kunefe (110k) 7.5/10
Phyllo pastry filled with stringy cheese and soaked in syrup. This was served pipping hot, which helps to tone down the sweetness. I particularly enjoy the crispy outer crust in contrast to the shredded phyllo texture. Generous pistachio crumbles as well. Good dessert but still prefer Mardin’s.
Ayran (62k) 7/10
Turkish yoghurt drink. Taste similar to Indian lassi bit saltier from the sea salt. Works well as palate cleanser for all the lamb and spices.
Elma Cayi (66k) 6.5/10

Yummy carrot cake that I wouldn’t know was vegan if they didn’t tell me. Very moist and held its structure well. The pineapple chunks also added additional texture and flavour to the carrot cake. No walnut chunks but it’s a plus for me since I dislike nuts in cake. Curious on how they made the cream cheese since it tasted like regular dairy to me.
Vegan Mushroom Ragu Spaghetti (155k) 5/10
Had high expectation as it smelled really good, but ended up tasting one note. Mushroom was cut too big so it didn’t really resemble minced meat. For dishes like this, I felt like using sturdier mushroom such as portobello or king oyster would have been better as they have ‘meatier’ texture vs the normal button mushroom used. Flavour wise, the tomato sauce tasted like it was made straight from the jar, lacking some umami factor that could have been made by adding things like liquid amino or similar substance. Pasta itself was also overcooked. It’s not traditional by any means but somehow the floss works well in combination with the egg and chicken. Good options for those looking for simple lunch/dinner option. The crunchy fried garlic was yum as well.

Very generous portion, though I noticed that they gave us more of the tamago and edamame vs salmon and unagi. My main problem was that they slather so much sauce that it overpowered the delicate sweetness of the fish. Felt like all I could taste was soy sauce. Caramelised white chocolate mousse, honey citrus caramel, blood orange kedondong gel, brown sugar sponge, caramelised puff rice. More unusual vs mattina, nice sweet-sour combo. Highlight was definitely the blood orange kedondong and honey citrus caramel. Would recommend this.

Osteria most famous pasta menu. Have had this several times and it’s quite consistent. Buttery, creamy, cheesy, with nice amount of truffle actually shaved on top (not just truffle oil). It’s good but a bit much for me. Make sure to finish this before it gets cold.
Ravioli di Samone Rose (195k) 6/10
Homemade pasta filled with salmon chunk in spicy pink sauce, prawn & blue mussel. Nice servings of seafood alongside the salmon filling, however seafood did not taste very fresh for me, the salmon fillings were also too mushy imo.

Cream tiramisu, biscoff biscuit, salted caramel sauce, chocolate pearl, rock salt, and coffee powder.

The crust had really nice texture but fillings were not that much and luckluster taste wise. Similar to Manado’s panada (with different filling), which makes sense given the Spanish influence.
Humita en Chala / Sweetcorn Parcel (65k) 6.5/10
Creamed sweetcorn with basil and cheese wrapped in corn leaf and served with crackers. Very unique and probably only served here in Indonesia. Taste sweet from the corn and salty from the cheese. Texture is similar to pepes.
Vacio / Flank Steak 400g (380k) 6/10
First time eating flank steak, which was taken from bottom sirloin/belly part of cow. Apparently this steak is popular in Argentina. Cut was thin and quite grainy. Rather chewy and tough, not something I will reorder.
Costillas a la Sal / Salt Crusted Beef Ribs 400g (320k) 8/10
Will come back to La Posta just for this dish! Crust was super crispy and salty while meat stays tender and juicy.
Budin de Pan / Argentine Bread Pudding (50k) 7/10
Creme caramel style pudding made with bread. Not like English bread pudding, taste more like custard/flan since the bread was blended inside the batter.
Coulant de Dulce de Leche Y Baileys / Caramel and Baileys Lava Cake (90k) 7.5/10
Hot sponge cake with creamy caramel filling and Baileys, served with ice cream. Got this because they ran out of Rogel. La Posta had great caramel sauce for their dessert overall, need to cone back for their Rogel next time.

Smoked duck was yum, tender, juicy, and didn’t smell gamey at all. Noodle had nice firm texture as well. Served with clear broth (as option if you prefer soupy ramen). Ramen funnily enough tasted like yamien as it was quite sweet. I still felt like a more savoury seasonings would have been better.
Salmon Milk Miso Nabe (110k) 6.5/10
The soup was creamy rich while still having enough savoury umami taste. Fillings of salmon and assortments of veggies were all fresh. Also best for sharing for same reason as above.

Kenpachi (40k)
Once in a while it’s nice to try white fish. This is firmer fish vs the salmon, however still fatty and has a nice sweet flavour.
Salmon belly (25k)
Thick and buttery, tasted better than the slices on top of Takara Roll.
Takara Salmon Belly Roll (150k) 6.5/10
The distinction between this and other sushi rolls comes to the thick salmon belly roll on top. Taste wise it’s just so-so, somewhat sweet from the tamago, crabsticks, and cucumber. Would rather just get the salmon belly sashimi for the price they charge.
Soft Shell Crab (85k) 5/10
Despite being soft shell they were a bit tough to eat. Batter was too thick
Unagi Foie Gras Roll (295k) 7.5/10
The combination of unagi and foie gras were 💣and melt in your mouth. Nice contrasting texture between the seated foie and fried unagi. Recommend this for sharing as it could be heavy.
