Salah satu must visit cafe di kawasan Thamrin.

Letak persisnya di West Mall Grand Indonesia, tepatnya di dalam SEIBU department store.

Cafe ini cantik walaupun terkesan cenderung kecil sehingga aku ga merekomendasikan kalian makan kesini ramai-ramai sih hehe, kalau masih 2-4 orang okelah, kalau mau ramai kan you need bigger space.

Sudah pernah ke Alfred sebelumnya dan aku suka banget sama menu Loco Moco mereka, it simply sedap gurih wangi dengan porsi lumayan.

Nah kali ini aku cobain salah satu menu baru yang katanya juga jadi best seller disini yaitu gyu tan don, aku request extra truffle.
Dengan 100rb++ aku mendapatkan seporsi nasi gurih hangat dengan lidah sapi yang dimasak dengan bumbu dan rempah, disajikan dengan topping scrambled egg yang melimpah dan sentuhan truffle oil yang strong.

Rasanya? ENAK! Lidah sapi nya ga overcooked sehingga teksturnya masih agak keras which is nice for me ya sejatinya lidah sapi ga terlalu chewy gitu. Bumbunya pas, dipadukan dengan nasi gurih serta truffle oil jadi balance. Porsi generous dijamin kenyang! Buat yang suka pedas bisa request extra pedas seperti aku supaya dikasih extra cabe rawit ❤️

Untuk minuman aku pesan lychee cooler yang basically menggunakan teh, yakult, daun mint dan buah lychee. Sejujurnya aku ga menemukan keistimewaan minuman ini, tapi katanya ini salah satu best seller.

For me, ini refreshing, tapi untuk harga 55rb I expect more sih. Dan sensasi lychee nya kurang ‘nonjok’ gitu jadi agak tanggung. Ini tipe yang mild gitu, which I prefer the stronger type one hehe, kayaknya asik kalau ada hint soda or they put lemon on it.

• Loco Moco Garlic Rice
Love the combination and the sauce.
• Gyu Tan Don
Love the fluffy soft scramble egg. Gyutan was pretty good. Rice was a bit dry and not much garlic flavor.
• Alfred Iced Blue Lemonade Tea
No strong lemonade flavor. No idea what kind of tea but it looked pretty, no strong tea flavor too. Once the ice started melting, it started to taste like plain water.

Ah another hip restaurant in the central of Jakarta! Hidden within the Seibu department store, Alfred sits next to Toby's Estate. Just when I think I got enough options for groovy restaurant with the basically the same offer from the menu, yet here we went.

It is a basic semi-fancy restaurant with typical one word naming, usually a name, and followed with classic-industrial fusion on the interior design that brings you the concept of 'old school is the new school'. But they did that with a bit of twist from sliding door, neon quote on the wall, and the creativity of utilizing such a small space then turned it into smoking and non smoking area, which not exactly a good idea. Their menu offers great selection though, from Brioche options (they don't call it burger here) to rice based mains. We ordered SA-C ( Sassy so the pronunciation) and Sorry,Dory into the big breakfast option. SA-C in big breakfast consisted of soft scrambled egg, avocado, mixed greens in honey lemon vinaigrette dressing, a shot of maple syrup and 3 slices of multigrain toast, also with Alfred sweet chili aioli. The same goes with Sorry, Dory just with the replacement of soft scrambled egg and avocado into pan fried dory fillet with tartar sauce.

They both were good, I liked the airy and fluffy scrambled egg combined with avocado and toast with the aioli. Alfred sweet chili aioli plays a supporting role here, the sweet, creamy, uplifting, and a subtle spiciness was pleasurable. Otherwise, it would just be a plate of salad and toast with egg. The Sorry, Dory was nice too, I always like fried dory, soft without the fishy smell, the batter made enough crunchiness outside, all paired with refreshing sweet and sour tartar sauce. Maple syrup also added complexity to the overall taste, I made sure to drizzle everything on my plate with the syrup.

In all, Alfred is a nice addition to your already convenient dining options with such a price that made me question if their price is really on par with what they deliver. Priciness aside, it worth a try for a unique dining menu experience.

I ordered Truffle Potato Dippers in a Jar for appetizer and it was superb!
The brown bread was toasted perfectly and you gotta dip it in the truffle, parmesan cheese sous vide egg and potato mix - BLOWS YOUR MIND 😋👌🏻

For my main, I ordered the Loco Moco (making it salad). Love my flawless runny egg! You can tell that the beef patty was of great quality, the mushroom sauce was creamy and yummy! 🤤🤤🤤
Love the spiciness and sourness of the aioli that goes well with the meat & salad. The salad was fresh and got an amazing honey lemon vinaigrette dressing.

And another highlight was their Batavia Detox Latte. It was a charcoal-ed latte with honey 🍯
Their coffee smells SOOO GOOD! The honey makes it a cup of perfect coffee and you just can’t stop sipping.

Service was 10/10 - attentive waiters & waitresses.
Food comes in a good 10 minutes, very fast for the quality they have!
I am definitely coming back for more greatness!!! 🤗

- Alfred Iced Blue Lemonade Tea: campuran air jeruk lemon dgn bunga telang yg menghasilkan warna biru dan putih kekuningan ❤️ tambahkan gula cair agar rasanya lebih nikmat
- Animal Fries: WHY SO GOOD!! french fries dgn sweet chili aioli, saus onion, dan homemade saus cheese. french fries renyah, sausnya mantep, gabungan asin dan manis jadi satu 👍🏻💯
- Ultimate Truffle: DEFINITELY MUST ORDER! salah satu menu signature di sini yang merupakan burger dgn 120g Australian prime beef patty yg super duper juicy, truffle aioli SUPER wangi, plus keju mozzarella yg yummy... ENAK!
- Banana Bacon Maple Hotcakes: menu penutup yg EXCEPTIONAL! Karena suka banget sama Martabak fluffy hotcakes buatan Alfred yg empuk, wangi, dan halus bingit, saya pesan menu lain Banana Bacon Maple. Masih dgn plating yg cantik dgn isi 3-stack hotcakes, taburan sereal jagung dan almond, pork bacon, caramelized banana, saus susu vanilla, dan 1 scoop es krim vanilla Brookfarm. ENAK! 😭

Selain mudah di akses karena letaknya di mall GI, alfred ini rasa makanannya juga lumayan, walaupun pilihan menunya emang ga terlalu banyak. Harganya juga memang lumayan mahal tapi stndrd lah buat tmpt brunch jakarta zaman skrg dan kalo pake aplikasi tertentu bisa buy1get1 :)

2. Bae (Pork) Big Breakfast (120k) Bacon ,avocado, scrambled egg, chedda cheese, Alfred sweet chili aioli, multigrain toast with butter, maple syrup, mixed greens tossed in honey lemon vinegrette dressing Cocok buat yg doyan menu brunch!! Benar benar BIG breakfast hehehe
