Two days ago, we got a chance to visit Sunny Side Up Summarecon Mall Serpong. If you haven't checked it out yet, they came up with this new and fresh concept! The room was filled with cozy tables and chairs, half of the wall was made out of brick and decorated with cute drawing, and there were lamps hanging above the tables. Wasn't that cute? And if you are a fan of outdoor view, you can also enjoy your meal outside!
Not just the new ambiance, but Sunny Side Up also presented new menu! They came up with this menu called OMURICE, fried rice wrapped in omelette and usually topped with ketchup. That just the standard one, but Sunny Side Up is available with a bunch of Omurice variant! And here are some reviews of them!
1. Spicy Katsubushi with Half Cooked Egg (49k)
They said that this Omurice was the favorite one! And I agreed because it was good! The fried rice was well seasoned and a little spicy because it has chili strips in it. The omelette was perfect! Soft and creamy! Served with brown colored sauce, chopped chicken, and onion that was sweet and salty at the same time. The taste was also dominated with Nori and Katshuobushi strips as the topping! Yum Yum!
2. Creamy Salmon with Half Cooked Egg (59.5k)
Butter Rice wrapped with half cooked egg was the one! Served with chopped salmon, tomatoes, and cream sauce all over it. The taste from the butter was strong and a little bit salty, but overall it was tasteful.
3. Kampoeng Satay Rice (39.5k)
The Indonesian version of Omurice! Fried rice wrapped with omelette, served with chicken satay and pickles! The fried rice has no strong flavor so we can't differentiate with the other fried rice :( But you can still enjoy it with well-seasoned satay!
Besides the omurice, We got a chance to try their Egg Bacon (49k-3pcs)! Half-baked eggs wrapped with Beef Bacon! So tempting right? When it served on our table, Â we were so excited and immediately slice on one of them! The half-baked egg was melted all over which was the point! The bacon was well cooked and tasted like heaven! Who doesn't love bacon anyway?
Last stop! For the dessert and drinks, we ordered Azuki Ice Cream with Mochi (20k), White Yolk Banana (37k), and Fruit Cocktail Guava (49k). We were in love with the ice cream! You can try it as one flavor only (matcha or chocolate) or mix it together! The matcha ice cream was a little bitter but eating them together along with the chocolate ice cream, red bean, and the mochi will neutralize the flavor. The cone was also made out of biscuits which gave a crunchy addition to it.
If you don't want to eat whole rice to fill you up, you can just order White Yolk Banana. It was fulfilling because there are 6 white egg yolk inside!! But the taste has no doubt! It's also perfect for you who are on a diet!
Actually we wanted to try the Fruit Cocktail Mango but it was sold out, so we ordered guava instead! It was sweet, sour, fresh and healthy! A bunch of small fruit pieces completed the cocktail! It served with a big and tall bottle so you can share it with other.
The price was a little bit expensive but worth the taste! The service was all good, fast, and clear. Looking forward to the next culinary trip to Sunny Side Up!
p.s. Do not worry about the egg! They are not causing any boils or allergy because they are using high quality Arabic egg!Â
