Jia Dining - Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta

Having my brother’s birthday dinner in Jia because so many recommendations come to us about this restaurant! Surprisingly, the price is quite affordable (there’s promo 30% disc for Mandiri credit card) for this chinese restaurant in one finest hotel in Jakarta. So, we’ve ordered some of appealing dish and high recommendation from the restaurant itself! 

Crispy roasted pork (98K) – just one word to describe this food – HEAVEN! What a superb crispy skin from that roasted pork! Love it. Just a burst full of flavor. (10/10)

Barbeque pork with honey (98K) – another great pork, a simple dish that i know it can’t go wrong. Just delicious and that honey give an extra sweetness (but with less than 98K after disc) oyeah WORTH IT! (9/10)

Signature peking duck (half – 218K) – MASSIVE LOVE for this one! I’m totally a chinese fan of peking duck wrap and love that thick sweet duck sauce! Just ask the waiter for that sauce twice and dig other meat with it! Half portion but it’s big enough to get one of each element (didn’t have a chance to take the other ways cook of the duck because my family is too hungry to wait) (10/10)

Crispy fried beef in honey sauce (68K) – what a unique dish, by its look and also the flavor itself. It’s like a daily food that I eat but I just can’t specify what is it. But I think the usage of honey is a little bit too much so it’s kinda powered and hidden the taste of that fried beef. (7/10)

Braised homemade bean curd with fungus and ginko nuts (108K) – one of my chinese veges fav is this haha.. can’t go wrong with the combination of tofu and fungus, just a successful extra add-on from that ginko nuts and that crazy yummy brown sauce! (8/10)

Braised E-Fu Noodles and wild mushrooms with black truffle paste (112K) – expecting a really yummy noodles come into my belly but it turns out to be one of my least favorite. I could taste that massive truffle paste but the combination is just not right for us. I think they using a wrong type of noodle and how they cooked the overall dish is just lack of balance. The positive side is just it comes with a very big portions and absolutely enough for our big family! (7/10)

Steamed fried rice with prawn wrapped in lotus leaf (98K) – Another least favourite of mine. It’s way too salty from what I imagine. And somehow I could only taste that salty fried rice and salted fish from that big bowl, nothing else. (5/10)

Deep fried boneless chicken with special chili sauce and mango (82K) – uhlalaaa I love this one! It’s superb yummy. Love that crispy boneless chicken and that sauce is UH-MA-ZINGGG! (9/10)

Braised pork belly with quail egg (98K) – Triple pork for feed the hungry family! PORK LOVERS, HERE WE COME! Hahaha.. they really smashed all that different pork and we put extra love for their quail egg. Just a great cooking of pork belly in brown sauce which totally blown my mind away! (9/10)

Overall a very great dish, warm ambience, attentive and polite services. Just some food that have to be remade to become a better one! 

JIA Dining lagi ada promo pake credit card JCB 25% exclude alcohol drinks ya. Ordernya pecking duck 1 ekor, setengahnya di masak yang dibungkus pake selada. Seladanya super fresh. Gak ada tuh bolong2 atau layu. Bener2 cakep. Terus ada pesen 3 BBQ Combination isinya samcan, babi merah dan ayam rebus. B aja. Ada juga ikan steam. 1 kg kurang lebih untuk dibagi jadi 6 porsi dan dapetnya dikit2. Lebih puas kalo 2 kg. Ikannya live, jadi enak banget.

Sharkfin Soup with Sea Cucumber
- tasted so good. No further comment, a must order💥

Steamed Chicken with Cordycep Flower in Lotus Leaf
- super tender chicken with amazing taste.

Beancurd with Seaweeds & Mushrooms
- a good dish for toning down your meat intake. Sauce tasted nice 👍🏻

Deep Fried Taro Dumpling
- not oily! And has real taro ;)

Steamed Prawn Rice Roll with Seaweed
- looooove!! Big prawns and thin & soft paper rice.

Crispy Fried Beef in Honey Sauce
- again its not oily and the honey sauce balances the taste of the beef! ❤️

Professional service 5/5 and food comes around 10-15 mins.

Mencoba salah satu restaurant chinese food yang ada di Shangrila Hotel, ambiencenya sangat berasa chinese restaurant dengan ornamen chinese yang minimalis dan elegant khas restaurant di hotel. Disambut dengan ramah oleh tim Jia Dining dan mencoba cukup banyak makanan disini. Berikut beberapa highlight:
1. Ipoh Special Two Salted Fish Fried Rice

Salah satu nasi goreng favorit yang Oppa coba disini, rasa saltednya pas dan menyebar secara rata di dalam setiap sendok nasi.  Love this a lot
2. Stir Fried Udon Noodle with Seafood dan XO Sauce

Tekstur udonnya yang tidak terlalu keras dan kenyal membuat udon ini menjadi salah satu highlight Oppa. Topping seafood di dalamnya sangat banyak dan totally fresh seafood.
Dimsum mereka juga the best dan hampir suka semua menu dimsum yang mereka provide saat itu. Bener-bener pengalaman yang tidak terlupakan dan akan balik lagi untuk cobain menu mereka yang lain.

Makan malam ku bersama keluarga kali ini dimulai dari semangkuk sup sarang burung dan daging kepiting. Enaakk. Gurih, sarang burungnya greget2 gitu dan daging kepitingnya banyak. Udang nya juga gede2 terus mayonaisenya nggak terlalu strong jadi masih bisa dimakan tanpa bikin enek. Tapi ini kurang ada rasanya jadi makannya barengin pake kecap asin & cabe rawit potong baru mantapp.

Terus dilanjutkan dengan ikan kerapu tim hongkong, enak banget! Ikannya lembut dan garing. Bukan garing gorengan gitu, garingnya lebih ke ikan fresh yang kalo dimakan kayak kenyel enak gitu deh pokoknya. Sulit dijelaskan. Kuahnya asin nya juga ga lebay bikin sakit tenggorokan.
Walaupun mahal, tapi worth it sih sama pelayanan, kebersihan, dan suasana restorannya. Tau gak sih? Mereka punya toilet sendiri dan toiletnya yang automatic japan punya itu. Keren! *norak deh norak*

Berlokasi di hotel shangrilla , tepat nya bersebrangan dengan resto satoo

Resto ini menyediakan masakan oriental , pagi sampai siang kita bisa pesan all you can eat dimsum

Untuk dim sum nya, saya recommend , rasanya enak menunjukkan kualitas resto nya

Untuk makanan ala carte saya coba :

Ikan kerapu asam manis , ikannya tawar dan sausnya terlalu asam

Tahu sutera dengan jamur , tahunya lembut, sayang agak tawar , tapi dipadukan dengan sausnya masih oke

Bakmi ulang tahun, yang satu ini pas taste nya 👍

Sup jagung, rasanya juga pas, sudah ada sedikit rasa asam, jd tidak perlu cuka hitam lagi

Oke ini kayanya Chinese Family Restaurant terbagus sepanjang hidup gw. Indah sekali suasana dan interiornya. Bahkan kalau mau pacaran di sini pun masih cocok, walaupun makanannya makanan chinese. Gue ke sini bertiga dan sharing beberapa makanan. Niatnya sih mau nyerbu dimsumnya, tapi yg lengkap cuma ada pagi ternyata uhuhu..

Jadi gue makan ini :

Steam Lotus Leaf Rice : Pikir cari nasi dulu, namanya juga orang indo. Kayanya nasi di tim di daun pasti wangi nih. Pas dateng porsinya gede juga, begh.. Rasanya ok saja, mungkin bagi bbrp orang kurang nendang atau kurang asin. 

Mapo Tofu : DA BEST! Ini seperti mun tahu dengan saus minyak cabe. Gurih dan sedikit pedas. Porsinya juga gede! Kalau berdua sih pasti kekenyangan, haha. 

Fried XO Salmon : Salah satu dimsum yang gw bisa pesan kalau malam. Ini kayak lumpia isi salmon, biasa aja sih rasanya. 

Deep Fried Wanton with Crab Paste : Ini kayak lumpia udang dibersi saus mayo (mungkin ini crab pastenya). Ini baru mantab nih, isinya ada 2 udang gede n seder. 

Trus kita bertiga minum pu er tea, hitungnya per cup ternyata bukan per teko, satunya 50rb dong... hiks sedih banget, sangat mahal.. tp yah namanya juga di hotel..

btw, Jia maksudnya "makan" di bahasa mandarin kali ya..
