APPETIZERS
- AB’s Caesar, dari romaine lettuce nya pun dah wow banget. Sampai ke bagian batang yg tebel pun masih enak. Gak ada yg keras ataupun lembek, semua part bener2 punya texture yg muasin lidah. Salmonya juga well cooked! Crispy tender.
- Croquette, ada sejenis mashed potato itu goes well sama crunchiness dari croquette ya! Rasanya juga enak
- Tuna Yukke, kalian yg suka sashimi Tuna psti suka ini. Ikannya fresh, teksturnya lengkap. Dari crunchy top by onion flakes sampai bottom pakai seaweed itu bener2 pasangan serasi.

SIGNATURE SIDE DISH
- Corn & Cheese, pertama kali makan sum sum! Dan amaze banget~ my very first sum sum experience. Kerennya yg ini bisa creamy dan tetep ada that smokey taste!
- Roasted Brussel Sprouts, aku suka ini dari crunchy tender brussel sprout sampai rice puff nya cocok banget. Cuma kalau aku makan ini aku gak akan sendokin sauce nya karna terlalu strong, so aduk2 aja ambil isinya aja, sauce agak tirisin.
- Foie Gras Bibim, ini bibimbap terenak yg pernah aku makan! creamy2 gitu, soalnya dari nasi sendiri dah enak, di aduk sama telor. sama sauce nya yg enak. Cucok!

MEAT COURSE
- 21days - “Kiwami” Picanha
Ini lembut juga dagingnya melted.
- 21days - Spinalis Dorsi
Ini lembut banget dagingnya, kalau kata temen2 mirip jelly! Pas dimasak dia unik sendiri karna ada ditutup gitu bentar.
- 60days - “Whiskey Aged” Bone-in Ribeye
INI MY FAVORITE! Teksturnya yg cukup padet bikin nagih! Whiskey nya kasih rasa yg enak walaupun doesn't really taste like whiskey karna aku emang ga ngarep rasa whiskey. Ini asli banget my fav!
- 21days - Obe Grass Fed Striploin
steak Indonesia banget, similar sama steak yg biasa ditawarin sama steakhouse lain karna pakai striploin.
- Yaki Shabu
Ini gila si, bagian daging yg di pakai itu yg kayak buat shabu itu. Dibakar bentar kasih sauce sama telor diaduk2. Rasanya manis gurih. Closing daging2an cocok banget.

DESSER
- Lemon, asem seger!
- Valrhona Guanaja Molten Souffle, my fav! Melted banget souffle nya! Choco souffle nya rich banget, pkai ice cream nya biar balance.
- Fireworks, ada pop rock candy ketemu aama ice cream dibentuk kayak mawar.

Dry aged steaknya must try!

Setelah sekian lama akhirnya nyobain juga makan disini.
Tempatnya kecil tapi eksklusif. Tablenya ga bnyk, sekitar 13 table. Trus ga ada yg utk ber 2 doang. Jadi ada meja utk ber 4 & ber 6. Sptnya ada private room juga tpi saya ga liat dlmnya gmn. Jd menurut saya, kalo utk mkn ber 2, disini kurang romantis.
Jadi disini ada 2 jenis daging. Daging yg di dry aged range dr 21 - 120 hari & daging steak premium yang tidak di dry aged. Specialty mrk yg di dry aged krn ga semua steak house ada daging ini. Jadi daging yg di dry aged itu adalah daging sapi yg dibirkan di suhu ruang tertentu dng jangka waktu paling sebentar 21 hari. Hal ini menyebabkan kandungan airnya berkurang. Dagingnya jd terasa lebih empuk, lebih meaty & lebih asin krn dia jd lebih concentrated. Saya sengaja cobain yg 21 days krn takut ga cocok sama yg 120 days.
Trus disini, ada beberapa daging yg kita dikasi liat dulu bongkahan dagingnya, lalu kita pilih ketebalannya. Trus stlh dipotong, chef ke meja kita & daging di grill di depan kita. Kalo pilih daging yg masih ada tulangnya, min 300gr. Ini bikin harganya jd mahal bgt krn harganya per 100gr.
Jgn takut bau asep krn ga bau sama sekali. Grillnya elektrik. Sblm di grill, chef memasukkan rose wood dulu ke bara api. Lalu di bagian pemanggangnya dilumuri beef fat.
Kalau utk steak yg dry aged, kita disarankan makan pake 6 macam salt yg disediakan. Kalau utk steak biasa, disediakan 5 macam sauce utk dicocol.
Saltnya ada yg pink himalayan salt, kimchee, garlic herbs, truffle, yuja & sriracha. Fav saya yg garlic herbs & truffle
Kalo saucenya ada: chimiccuri, jjangmyeon, bulgogi, sesame oil salt, & wasabi garlic. Fav saya yg bulgogi & sesame oil salt.
Oya disini juga meskipun saya awalnya pesen 2 daging, tapi dimasaknya satu2. Jadi 1 daging dimasak trs saya makan dulu sampe abis br dimasak daging selanjutnya.
Disini saya nyobain:

1. 180 gr prime rib eye 21 days dry aged

Omg ini empuk banget!! Melt in your mouth sensation! Rasanya juga asin2 gitu. Ini dimasak dng tingkat kematangan medium krn kalo lebih lama, bs merusak rasanya. Saya biasanya suka yg medium well tapi kali ini suka banget sama yg medium
2. 200 gr full blood wagyu grass fed NY Strip

Ini steaknya yg biasa tapi daging wagyu australia. Wagyu yg bener sih mestinya dr jepang. Tapi harganya 2x lipet coy 😂

Saking impressednya sama rib eye diatas, kita pesen lagi tpi kali ini yg kiwami dng potongan daging yg berbeda. Rasanya ada manis2ny gitu. Empuk juga tpi tetep ga seempuk si rib eye.
4. Potato puree with chives

Porsinya bs utk ber 2 krn cukup besar. Creamy bgt & cheesy.
5. Crepe flambe

Jd ini dimasak di depan kita. Bs pilih buahnya mau pear/ mandarin orange. Saya pilih yg pear. Crepenya yg tipe lembut bukan crunchy. Ada 2 crepesnya. Jadi chefnya bawa wajan kecil yg uda ada saus caramel. Lalu dipanaskan, dikasi brandy & dimasukkan pear & crepe lalu dituang ke piring yg sudah ada vanilla bean ice cream. Enak, tapi ga exceptional. Lumayan lah utk pengalaman.
Disini pelayanannya juga attentive & sigap. Overall saya suka steak disini. Saya yg biasa aja sama steak bisa jatuh cinta, segitu enaknya 😂

Cuma harganya aja sih yg bikin jatuh cinta saya ga terlalu dalam 😂

Best Steak!

Tergoda untuk cobain resto ini dan alhasil gak nyesel. Sebelumnya gw mau saranin untuk buat reservasi dulu supaya kalian sudah pasti dapet meja karna tempatnya gak begitu luas dan banyak orang juga dateng ke resto ini.

Sangking penasarannya, gw pesen mulai dari starter sampai dessertnya.

Starter :
*Mussels & Meatballs (135k++)
Mussels dan meatballs nya lembut dan empuk bgt, apalagi butter sauce nya, juara bgt!! Bikin ketagihan!!! Berasa seperti ada wangi keju dimulut.

Signature Sides :
*Kimchi Fried Rice (90k++)
Potongan dagingnya menggunakan Wagyu Short Ribs. Taste nya agak pedas. Enak tapi gak outstanding.

House Dry Aged Steaks :
*21 Days Prime Ribeye (240k/100gr)
Serunya sebelum di grill, daging mentahnya dibawa ke meja kita dan kita sendiri yang pilih ketebalan daging yg kita mau setelah itu baru ditimbang berat dagingnya.
Tingkat kematangan yg paling baik utk steak ini adl medium - medium rare dan ada pilihan 6 macam seasalt untuk steaknya : Garlic, Truffle, Pink Himalayan, Kimchi, Yuja dan Siracha (agak pedas). Favorit gw adalah Seasalt Garlic.
Untuk Ribeye, dagingnya lembut dan pinggirannya agak sedikit crispy.

*21 Days Kiwami Sirloin (215k/gram)
Klo steak ini, minimum nya adalah 100gr, jadi kita bisa request berapa gram yg kita mau.
Untuk sirlion ini di grill sampai medium well. Wangi smoke nya lebih berasa dan texture nya pun lembut.

Dessert :
*Chocolate Soufflé (150k++)
Bagi kalian yg suka coklat, dessert ini enak bgt! Coklatnya rich sekali! Tekstur nya lembut dan coklatnya melted didalam. Rasa Ice creamnya pun beda dari ice cream biasanya.

Yg disayangkan interior lighting nya sedikit gelap jadinya klo buat foto kurang bagus 😄

Kali ini aku berkesempatan untuk mencicipi steak di ebuah restoran eksklusif terletak di kawasan Setiabudi, Jakarta selatan. Dengan interior yang dominan berwarna gelap memberikan sentuhan yang elegan sekali.

Semua elemen memiliki detail yang sempurna dimulai dari interior, meja, kursi, peralatan makan dan tidak lupa salah satu yang menarik perhatianku yaitu tampilan smoke yang menyerupai bara api dan ternyata menggunakan teknik steam sehingga tidak panas. Selain itu kita juga bisa menemukan sedikit sentuhan-sentuhan elemen Korea pada beberapa titik.

Tempatnya tidak terlalu luas dimana hanya terdapat 13 meja sehingga kita perlu melakukan reservasi terlebih dahulu sebelum berkunjung kesini. Sesuai dengan judul, AB Steak ini dihadirkan oleh Chef Akira Back yang cukup familiar bagi kita dengan restoran Akira Back.

Break the fasting at AB Steakhouse

A Spirit Within The Interior of AB Steak Jakarta.

The room inside AB Steak Jakarta is dominant with black, red and stone color. The luminosity of the room is dim so it will bring a deep and silence nuance but still elegance and luxury.
I saw a fire attraction on the wall behind the seat and it’s give a warm touch and become a magnificence spot in the whole room. This fire attraction was made from steam but it’s still present a spirit of fire for anyone who sees it.
You can see the wall that full of origami of 1000 cranes to describe a hope, luck and happiness. The pillars that support this room also describing a flame with reddish lighting that blazing in accordance to the grilling process itself.
With the beauty and artistry that is reflected in AB Steak Jakarta, I believe many people will be amazed to see the beauty of the interior. And these feelings will be in harmony with the dish to be served.
I had a simple tour to their special room which is a place for meat storage where the dry age meat happen. In special condition the meat in this room will give a unique characteristic during aged in this room but still keep hygiene and cleanliness.
With this excellent atmosphere and interior you guys must ask how about the food at AB Steak Jakarta? Well this is the part that we are waiting for, start from appetizers to dessert I will let you know this is the happiness are. So let’s scroll guys! 

Tuna Yukke (IDR 95K)

  The first menu came to our table is appetizer called Tuna Yukke. The dish look beautiful because presented on the stack of stones seems like a zen style. The Tuna Yukke made from scallion, cucumber sesame sauce and seaweed in petite four so you can easily to eat in single bite. Even though the dish were quite small but in the mouth it will create a flavorful taste with sweet, sour and umami and a little smile will appear while you eat this dish.


Corn & Cheese (IDR 135K)

  Still in the appetizer series, the staff bring us with another awesome dish and it’s called Corn & Cheese. This menu made from beef bone that split into two parts so the marrow bone appear and topped with cheese and sweet corn. How it taste? Fabulous, just use your spoon and the marrow bone melt in your mouth and it feel satisfied and addictive. The parmesan cheese and corn make it complete and suitable with the whole dish.
Steak 

Tartare (IDR 185K)

  While we still impressed with the previous menu, another awesome appetizer came to our table and this is Steak Tartare that made from roasted bone marrow, wagyu and toasted brioche and beautified with arugula and lotus root. The toasted brioche was easily to cut and the whole dish has a sweet and savory taste.


Foie Gras Bibimbap (IDR 195K)

  Than we are enter to the main menu and this is Foie Gras Bibimbap. A bibimbap in a bowl served with delicious Korean sauce and a huge of Foie Gras on top make the dish look so tempting. The bibimbap taste was so good not too mention the foie gras also not fishy and melt in your mouth.

The Six Salt

  As the American Steak House, AB Steak Jakarta provide 6 different seasoning salt to accompany your meat time here. The 6 salt are Pink Himalayan, Truffle, Kim chee, Garlic, Yuja and Sriracha. Garlic salt has the strongest aroma while Sriracha has a spicy and sour taste and the Truffle become a favorite in AB Steak Jakarta.


The Five Sauce

  Still with your meat, you can dip it in 5 different sauce. The sauce from left to right are the roasty oil of Sesame, the spicy and pungent Habanero, a sweet and nice Bulgogi, the tangy and sharp Wasabi and flavorful of Cumi Cury. For me, I really love sesame and bulgogi while the other was impressed me too.

Now the wait is over! We will bring you to our first experience of Dry Aged Beef Steak. Yes there are 4 different meat menu that I will show to you and all the grill process handled by different staff. Just for your information all the meat are grilled with medium rare as the standard for AB Steak Jakarta by Chef Akira Back but you can make it to be well-done as your desired. 

200 Grams Kiwami Wagyu (IDR 350K)

  One of their staff came to our table, he brought first meat menu to us and 200 Grams of Kiwami Wagyu is ready to grilled. The marble surface with a little fat become a perfect steak with appropriate thickness when it’s grilled. And I thought this is a good starting for us to enjoy our meat time that night.

Following the succeed of Akira Back Restaurant, kali ini Chef Akira Back hadir lagi di Jakarta dengan konsep baru, Steakhouse. Masih bertempat di MD Building, walaupun restonya hanya buka pada waktu dinner dan memiliki kapasitas 13 meja, suasana yang dihadirkan sangat terasa elegan dan nyaman. Nuansa mewah dan elegan tampak nampak dari awal masuk ke dalam restoran. Dominasi warna hitam dan hiasan emas menambah eksklusifitas restoran ini.
Pelayanan di sini juga sangat memuaskan. Waiternya ramah dan setiap meja diserved oleh chef untuk memastikan bahwa steak yang dipesan akan dimasak dalam kondisi sempurna.

Semua menu di sini nampak sekali klo dipersiapkan dengan sangat baik. Mulai dari konsep open kitchen, sehingga customer bisa melihat langsung kondisi kitchen sekaligus tempat pemotongan dan penyimpanan daging yang benar-benar terjaga kebersihannya.
Hasil makanan-nya pun sangat baik. Beberapa makanan yang ak suka dan WAJIB banget buat dicoba:
* Tuna Yukke

Menu yang sangat cocok buat starter, dengan presentasi yang sangat cantik. Tuna dengan topping cucumber diced dan shredded scallions diletakkan di atas crispy seaweed kemudian disiram sedikit sesame sauce sebagai final touch. Really built up your appetite.
* Foei Gras Bibim

Sesuai dengan asal Chef Akira Back yang Korean born, makanan ini dipresentasikan dengan sangat cantik dan modern namun masih mengedepankan cita rasa Korea. Dari presentasinya nampak ada 4 lapisan, dari paling bawah adalah short Rib Rice, Mixed Veggies, Fried Poached Egg dan on the top is whole Foei Gras. Tak lupa untuk Gojuchang Sauce as its Korean twist. I love its Foei Gas. Perfectly cooked until it feels melt inside your mouth. Really a very great dish as 1st Entrees.
* T-Bone

As a Steakhouse, its steak should be the star. I like its T-Bone. Lucky for us, the T-Bone have part of Filet Mignon. Its cooked medium rare, so it would be very tender still. Sebagai penambah rasa di sini disajikan dengan 5 macam sauces mulai dari chimichuri, bulgogi, sampai sesame. Tersedia pula 6 macam garam seperti truffle, pink himalayan dan garlic. Semuanya enak dan memberikan sensasi berbeda. Favoritku di sini menggunakan chimichuri sauce dan truffle salt.
* Varlhona Guanaja Molten Souffle

Lagi-lagi dengan presentasi yang sangat cantik. Chocolate souffle disajikan dengan Frangelico Ice Cream. Really great combination, when the chocolate was so melted and bold, the ice cream made it fresher. Good for share for a really great dessert.
Really a great dining experience at the best ambience and services.

- AB's Caesar (IDR 95,000)
Grilled Salmon and Grilled Romaine served with Herbed Yoghurt Caesar Dressing and Caramel Mac-nuts.
I'm not a Salmon person tapi disini gw bisa makan Grilled Salmonnya dengan lahapnya! Salmonnya fresh dan gak berasa amis sama sekali. Makan Salmonnya dioles pake Herbed Yoghurt Caesar Dressing yang rasanya asem tapi enak. Lalu ada Grilled Romaine, baru sekali makan sayur yang di grill and it tastes extraordinary! RECOMMENDED!

- Tuna Yukke (IDR 95,000)
Fried Seaweed Chips topped with Raw Tuna, Cucumber, Sesame Sauce, and Scallion Muchim.
Sama kayak review gw tentang AB's Caesar, I'm not a Tuna person tapi disini gw bisa makan Tuna Yukkenya dengan lahapnya! It's just ineffable, words can't describe how delicious this dish is! RECOMMENDED!

- Scallop Crudo (IDR 135,000)
Scallop with Chives, Kimchee Gel, Jicama, and Truffled Yuja Soy.
Perpaduan antara Scallop yang lembut dan Truffle yang tasty, super enak!

- Cold Tofu (IDR 65,000)
Cold Tofu with Crispy Brussel Sprout and Chili Soy Sauce.
Tofu super lembut yang disajikan dingin, harus langsung dimakan one at a time sama Brussel Sprout yang digoreng kering dan Chili Soy Saucenya. Perfection!

- Potato Puree (IDR 70,000)
Potato Puree topped with Chives.
Super creamy and super tasty, the best Potato Puree I have ever tasted! RECOMMENDED! BEST OF THE BEST!

Dagingnya dislice tebal dan lebar, marblingnya cantik, cuma digrill sebentar aja udah langsung mateng. Super tasty super juicy! RECOMMENDED!

- 500 Grams of 45 Days Porterhouse (IDR 185,000 per gram)
Porterhouse atau yang lebih dikenal dengan T-Bone ini sangat empuk karena Sapinya diberi makan Grain selama 200 hari dan di dry aged selama 45 hari. Tender, tasty, juicy! Recommended level of doneness: medium rare.

- 330 Grams of 45 Days Bone-in Ribeye (IDR 199,000 per gram)
Sama kayak Porterhouse cuma ini bagian Ribeyenya. RECOMMENDED!

- 300 Grams of Wagyu 5+ Bone-in Short Rib (IDR 385,000)
Short Rib yang dimasak dengan teknik slow cooked selama 20 jam. Again and again, tender tasty juicy!

Steakhouse with korean accent

Satu lagi casual dining restaurant yang hadir di Jakarta, yaitu ab steak by chef akira back. Lokasi ab steak ini satu gedung dengan akira back tapi ab steak di lantai mezanine. Tempatnya tidak terlalu besar, ada 3 vip room dan main area dengan capacity 48 orang, ambiencenya romantis dengan dim lighting dan interior yang dominan warna grey - black dan sentuhan ornamen korea.

Ab steakhouse berbeda dengan steakhouse lainnya karena bukan hanya sekedar steakhouse tapi dikombinasi dengan korean accent, jadi steaknya ini akan digrill di depan kita langsung dan disajikan dengan sauce2 ala korean. Speciality menu disini adalah house aged premium meat, kita bisa lihat juga ruangan house agednya ini melalui kaca dan kita juga bisa lihat proses pemotongan dagingnya.

Gw kesini dengan teman-teman dan kita pesen beberapa appetizer dan main course, diantaranya :

APPETIZER - grilled salmon (95k) : enak banget salmonnya fresh, ukurannya cukup besar, tidak amis dan disajikan dengan sauce herbed yogurt caesar dan caramel mac nut.

- tuna yukke (95k): cucumber, sesame sauce, scallion muchim, seaweed. Penyajiannya cantik di atas batu2 kecil, tapi jangan ampe dimakan ya batunya. Bentuk tuna yukke ini seperti tapas, crunchy banget seaweednya seperti kerupuk bahkan lebih crunchy lagi, tunanya juga fresh banget dan enak banget, tidak amis dan gurih.

- scallop crudo (135k) : with chive and kimchee gel, jicama, truffled yuja soy. Ini juga enak banget, potongan scallop dengan sauce ala korea dan ada taste truffle yuja soynya. Scalopnya juga lembut banget. Enaknya juara sih ini.

- amberjack carpaccio (195k) : nahh ini favorit gw di appetizer, jadi ini amberjack fish dipotong tipis-tipis, disajikan dengan jalapeno salsa dan oranges dan blood orange soy, dengan wadah salt block, jadi harus cepat2 dimakan karena kalau terlalu lama akan membuat amberjack fishnya ini semakin lama semakin menyerap asin dari salt block. Mewah banget ini rasanya, apalagi katanya amberjack fish ini cukup mahal loh harganya.

- cold tofu (65k) : seger banget ini bener2 menggugah selera makan. Tofunya disajikan dingin dengan crispy brussel sprout dan chili soy sauce. Rasa saucenya seperti korean sauce. Tofunya juga super lembut.

- potato puree (70k) : terlalu enak ini, sampe makannya saja pelan-pelan biar ga cepet abis. Bener-bener lembut banget dan rasanya pun mewah banget.

MAIN COURSE

Signature dishes disini house aged premium meet dimana meetnya melalui proses Dry Aged Beef. Dry aged Beef ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengempukan daging sapi. Setelah dipotong dan dibersihkan daging sapi dalam potongan besar dibiarkan tergantung dalam suhu tertentu dalam waktu tertentu. Suhu ruangan harus konsisten dan bersih. Jika tidak daging akan mudah berjamur dan rusak. Proses ini membuat enzim daging bekerja lebih baik dan jaringan ikat di dalam dagingnya tersebut menjadi lebur yang menghasilkan tekstur yang lebih lembut dan lebih cepat dimasak. Wow penasaran kan seperti apa rasa dry aged beef tersebut.

Untuk menikmati dry aged beef ini disajikan 5 macam sauce (sesame oil, ssamjang, bulgogi, soy wasabi dan chimichurri) dan 5 macam natural salt (garlic, kimcchee, truffle, pink himayalan dan yuja). Gw suka sesame oil sauce dan truffle salt. Gw dan temen2 coba beberapa diantaranya :

- autralian wagyu 9+ flat iron (245k/100gr) : potongan beefnya tipis, hanya dimasak sebentar saja langsung mateng, sangat juicy and tasty, apalagi dicocol dengan sauce sesame oil dan truffle salt.

- 45 days porterhouse (185k/100gr) : yang ini daging sapinya di grain feed selama 200hari kemudian di dry aged selama 45hari, wouw ga heran kalau ini bener2 empuk banget, ukurannya juga cukup besar, biasanya ini kita sebutnya T-bone. Saran penyajiannya medium rare tapi misalnya kita mao request mateng boleh juga.

- 45 days bone in ribeye (199k/100gr) : nah ini juga sama dengan T-bone tadi, dagingnya di grain feex selama 200hari dan di dry aged 45 hari, tapi yang ini dagingnya bagian ribeye. Tebel dan agak banyak lemaknya. Gw sih suka yang ini karena bagian atasnya bisa crunchy gitu, selain itu dagingnya juicy and tender.

- wagyu 5+, bone in short ribs (385k/100gr) : ini main course terakhir kita, ini katanya 20 jam di slow cooked, ukurannya cukup besar dan tebal, ao juicy and tender apalagi dicocol sauce sesame oil dan truffle salt kesukaan gw.

DESSERT - coconut mochi cake (65k) : ini cake tapi bentuknya mochi, enak, tekstur kekenyalannya pas banget jadi ga terlalu sulit untuk menyungahnya. Ada popcorn dan ice cream vanila, rasanya enak semua.

- brandy maple with nashi & crepe flambe (150k) : cara bikinnya ini lumayan seru karena kita bisa lihat live cookingnya, dan pada saat disiram brandy langsung keluar flame fire-nya gitu. Rasanya juga enak banget, crepenya enak, disajikan dengan peach, taburan almond dan gula, enak semuanya.

- ice cream & sorbet : ada 5 macam ice cream yang paling favorit valhrona chocolate dan vanilanya.

Overall gw suka banget disini ambiencenya warm and cozy, exclusive dan romantis. Next time pasti akan balik lagi kesini

Oh Meat-Heaven!!

Ada restoran baru yang cukup kece nih di MD Place. Membawa nama Akira Back, AB Steak by Chef Akira Back siap memanjakan lidah para penggemar steak! 

Lokasinya di mezzanine MD Place. Restorannya ga terlalu besar, terus dekorasinya didominasi dengan warna hitam. Jadi kalau dinner di sini, suasanya cukup remang-remang. Konsep yang ditawarkan adalah modern revolutionary steakhouse with Korean accent. Unik? Oh tentu.

Appetizer:
- AB's Caesar. Kalo ini salad, beh gue mau deh makan tiap hari. Salmonnya mateng dgn sempurna, terus grilled romaine lettuce nya enak, ada rasa pahit sedikit dan masih crunchy. 

- Tuna Yukke. Enak juga. Tunanya seger dan empuk, terus perpaduan bumbu Koreanya itu nikmat banget. 

- Scallop Crudo. Scallop seger yang diiris terus dikasih saus yuja soy. Rasanya unik karena perpaduan asam dan asin. 

- Amberjack Carpaccio. Duh ini ikan nagih banget! Seger, terus lembut pula dagingnya. Rasanya unik juga soalnya asam asin. Nah si asinnya dapet dari balok di bawahnya, which is balok garam!

- Cold Tofu. Ga suka tahu sih, tapi ini pengecualian karena bumbunya cocok banget! Brussel sprout nya juga enak, padahal cmn digoreng gitu.

- Potato Puree. BEST POTATO PUREE EVER! Begini doank tapi nagihnya parah. Satu porsi kayaknya berasa kurang. Rasa asinnya pas banget, terus teksturnya sangat lembut. 

Sebelum pesta steak dimulai, setiap orang dikasih 5 macam garam dan 5 macam cocolan. Nah, ini semua akan menjadi condiment si steak karena steaknya hanya dikasih lada dan garam (kecuali yg marinade ya). Yang lebih serunya lagi, dagingnya dimasak langsung di depan kita! Mantap kan?? Gue nyobain :
Wagyu 9+ Flat Iron, Wagyu 5+ Bone-in Short Rib, 45 days Porterhouse, 45 days Bone-in Ribeye. Semuanya enak-enak, dagingnya empuk dan juicy semua. Tapi gue paling suka sama yang flat iron karena paling juicy dan paling empuk dibandingkan semua.

Dessert :
- Crepe Flambe.
Secara keseluruhan, rasanya cukup nikmat. Gue paling suka sama es krim vanila nya malah soalnya pake vanila bean asli, jadi rasa vanilanya otentik.

- Butter Mochi Cake. Tekstur kuenya bener-bener kayak mochi. Manisnya pas, terus dikasih es krim kelapa biar jadi lebih nikmat.

- House Made Ice Cream & Sorbet. Dari semua rasa yang ditawarkan, kesukaan gue udah tentu yang cokelat karena pake Valrhona, jadinya rasanya ada manis dan pahit. Mewah banget deh rasanya.

Best Steak!

Got a chance to visit AB Steak House with fellow foodies friends, it was my first time trying Dry Aged Beef and it was indeed a great experiences.
AB Steak House is located at the Mezzanine level of MD Place Building which is inside the same building with Akira Back Resto itself. And as far as I know, most of AB Steak house’s menu is came from the hand of Genius Chef Andri Dionysius which also the head chef of Akira Back Resto. And if you been to Akira Back, you may guess the rest of this review will be full of praising of the resto’s greatness.
Me and fellow foodies got a chance to try several menus from appetizer to dessert which are below;
-  AB’s Caesar (95k) - this is the appetizer salad and it contains grilled romaine , grilled salmon along side with Youghurt Caesar dressing and carmelised nuts. The taste was superb, and yes in my whole life I never feel like trying veggies at all, but this one is an exception, taste beyond yummy and fresh beyond words can even described.
-  Tuna Yukhoe (95k) – The creative version of Tuna Sashimi, and again for sashimi kind of food, I never like Tuna, and I can only be able to eat salmon, but both at Akira Back and AB’s Tuna is another exception, Their tuna is something I cannot resist.
-   Scallop Crudo (135k) – Scallop and truffle is deff a perfect pair, among all other appetizers this one is my favorite, I surely able to finish whole plate myself.
-  Amberjack Carpacio (195k) – I dunno what kind of fish is amberjack and it was also my very 1st time eating amberjack, and again it was another perfection, super fresh and nice, this appetizer is plated with block of salt stone, therefore you have to eat it quickly before the taste became too salty.
-  Cold Tofu (65k) – This one contain brussel  sprout tofu and chili soy sauce, and yes to AB’s I am able to eat more veggies which taste super yummy on this menu
-  Potato Puree with Chives (70k) – best potato pure everrrr, too good to describe, you really have to try by yourself and try  this potato pure, some says this is the best potato puree in the world.
For the grilling section me and friends got a chance to try 4 kinds of meat which I’ll explain further at the next section.  If you see the menu section of AB Steak House the price that they write is / 100 grams. And before I explain further of the meat, I am much rec you to eat the meat with their sesame sauce and truffle salt, you surely wont regret the taste you’ll get, and below is the meat that I tried:
- Australian Wagyu MB 9+ Flat Iron; We had 200 grams of flat Iron for 490k, for me it was worth every pennies, super tender, moist and yummy.
-   45 Days of Porterhouse – had 500 grams porterhouse for 925k , and yes this one is another greatness, the meat was super tender, I believe it was because they treat the cow very well and aged it perfectly, the waiter will grilled the meat according to your preferences but medium well is deff suits my tastebuds.
- 45 days Bone in Rib Eye – we had this meat for 330 gram and it cost 656k and yes this one is another greatness, the meat was super juicy and tender and  I heard that the cow was eating cereal for 200 days to make the meat taste juicer and yummier, another must order beef.
-  Wagyu 5+ Bone in Shortribs (385k) – best shortribs ever, the meat is super tasty into the bone, ate it with the truffle salt and it was super super nice.
 
For me all of the meat at AB’s is aged to the perfection, grilled until its perfect, and taste perfectly juicy and yummy, it is indeed what you pay is what you get. You wont regret to try this restaurant, because it is deff worth every pennies. And at the end of the meal, me and friends also had 3 kinds of desserts which was Crepe Flambe, Coconut Mochi Cake and Ice Cream Sorbet, all of the desserts was also super nice, my favorite is their chocolate ice cream, it was none like any other chocolate ice cream, and it was ending our night perfectly. A very nice experience, indeed.
