Toby's Estate

Salah satu Australian coffee shop yang paling happening di PIK saat ini, kemarin pas kebetulan ke PIK akhirnya kesini bareng teman2 dan cobaiin coffee shop ini. Saya sendiri nggak coba kopinya Cuma kata teman saya agak asam, dan setau saya memang khas nya coffee shop australia kalau menyediakan coffee rasanya cukup strong.
Saya sendiri pesan hot chocolate dan teman saya ada yang pesan latte, cappucino, dan chai hot chocolate, chai hot choconya saya suka banget penggabungan rasa coklat dan rempah2 nya kena banget rasanya. Buat makanan hari itu kami sharing ricotta pancake, dan rasanya enak, buahnya fresh semua, ricotta cream nya enak dan adonan pancake nya fluffy banget. Memuaskan banget deh Toby’s Estate ini, saya suka banget. Selain tempatnya cozy, makanannya juga enak jadi pengen balik lagi kesini.

Kalo mau nikmatin kopi, disini enak. Tempatnya juga mayan cozy dan didesign hingga berasa spacious tapi kalo weekend ramenya bikin males

Gua akan kesini waktu weekdays, karena yaaa, mantap kopinya!!

Kesini udah lama banget ya dan cuma iseng aja sih, akhirnya kita cuma cobain Coffee Latte, Strawberry Milkshake, sama Mac and Cheese. Untuk rasa sebenernya selera, karna mereka kalau manis manis banget, kalau asin asin banget. Dan lumayan pricey juga ya disini. Kalau weekend sih rame loh disini

Selalu rame, apalagi waktu weekend sampai waiting list! Saya sih bukan pencinta kopi, jd pengen ke toby's bwt pancakenya, cuma sayang pas saya kesana mrk blg pancakenya soldout. Karena gk ada pancake saya jadi pessb energy bowlnya.

presentasinya cantik banget, pake taburan bunga2. Granolanya enak, coconut yoghurtnya krg banyak dan rasa coconutnya sendiri krg nendang,

Berasanya seret & kering, karena overall cm granola dikasih madu.
Interiornya fancy & cantik banget, oke bwt tempat nongki. Sayangnya krn too crowded, jd gk comfy bwt nongki lama2, mau ngomong aja susah, apalagi jarak antar mejanya deket2. Maybe next time bakal dtg weekdays aja deh.

Salah satu coffee shop yang lagi happening banget di pik, tepatnya berada di pik avenue. Saya kesini weekday bareng temen2, untuk ukuran weekday aja kesini suasananya cukup ramai dan nyaris penuh, beruntung kita masih kebagian meja. Karena sebelumnya kita udah makan berat jadi disini kita cuma pesan dessert and coffee aja. Lita pesan beberapa menu dan yang sempat saya cicipi adalah :

Ricotta pancake
4 lapis pancake dengan taburan irisan buah dalam setiap lapisnya. Kalau saya tidak salah ada buah strawberry, apel, orange, berry, juga pisang. Pancakenya enaak dan lembut. Karena porsinya cukup besar pancake ini enaknya buat dimakan ramean.

Cappucino
Kopinya terasa agak strong, tapi saya suka rasa kopinya, after tastenya agak sedikit asam. Teman memesan latte, machiato, chai chocolate dan mereka cukup puas dengan minuman yang dipesan. Suka banget suasana disini, next time pengen balik lagi buat nyobain menu lainnya.

Toby’s Estate is the first Australian-based coffee roaster store in Indonesia. The café is said to be the first user of the Mavam Espresso machine in Indonesia and offers specialty coffees, ranging from single-origin coffee to its signature Australian flat-white. Meals include eggs benedict, buttermilk fried chicken on a corn frittata and Toby’s signature ricotta pancakes. Aside from operating as a coffee chain, the brand also sells its coffee to other stores in Australia. If you like coffee, you can consider to have it here. 
Place and situation:
The place is located outside of the mall (but still a part of it), near the Starbucks. The place was quite big and many bloggers were taking picture around the cafe. Inside, the modern design of coffee shop was crowded (that’s why is hot inside). I like the decoration : simple, spacious, and modern-industrial feel inside the shop. I think it’s a perfect place to hangout with your friends. 

Coffee and drinks:
For the coffee, they serve espresso based coffee (piccolo, cappuccino, latte) and non-coffee drinks. Price range starts from IDR 30k-85k for coffee.

Our drinks ranged from coffee to tea. We don’t like coffee and still prefer to tea. For tea, we chose Chrysan tea and Peppermint tea. For me, I chose Affogato. The espresso was well-blended with the vanilla ice cream. The coffee was thick, but not as bitter as the other espresso. For me, it was good since I don’t like bitter. However, the coffee lovers would regret it. Although it had thick body, but the taste was not like espresso. Cappuccino latte is a good choice. The coffee was thick and bitter. My friend, who is a coffee lover said that it was quiet good. 

Food dishes:
1. Truffle Fries
For the food, the Truffle Fries must be tried for those who love it! It was 65k for a plenty of french fries. The truffle oil was so good, well-blended with the cheese and fries. The fries was crispy and soft, the seasoning was just perfect! Quiet big portion and guess what? It was too much for 6 people! A good snack for having coffee time. 
2. Eggs Benedict
The Woolly (sauteed spinach) and Broadway (Salmon) Eggs Benedict were tasty. Judging from the portion, the portion was quiet small, but once you have finished one whole portion, you will feel so full. Maybe because the fat was quiet high to fulfill your hunger. 
3. Buttermilk Chicken and Corn Frittata
Meet the signature dish : Buttermilk Chicken and Corn Frittata. The appearance looked appetizing with 2 pieces of big fried chicken. The taste was like Bakwan jagung or Fuyung hai. The frittata was soft, thin, and looks like a big bakwan jagung. The chicken was quiet good, but it was hard enough to slice the chicken with fork and knife! Better to use your own bare hands 
4. Pork Linguine Toss
For the pasta, I tried Pork Linguine Toss with tagliatelle. The pasta was al dente, cooked with super creamy carbonara sauce. The mushroom slice was quite big, but thin. The pork skin was crispy and you’ll like it!
Overall, it was so creamy and I think the portion is better to be eaten by 2 people. 
5. Mac and Cheese
Mac and Cheese tasted tasty and creamy, especially the cheese. However, it is better to be consumed by more than one person. The creaminess will overwhelmed you. Better to eat that with a cup of bitter coffee. 

Overall, the food dishes were tasted good, but still overpriced. The price was higher than any other coffee shop. For the coffee, it still needs improvement from the aroma and taste. The ‘body’ was just okay. The place was spacious, but lots of people inside and makes the shop even hotter. Well, quiet nice experience with Toby’s Estate. Have a cup of coffee!

Akhirnya nyobain kopisop yg lagi heitz abis. Kesini weekdays, jam 10an, rame banget lho sampe dapet duduknya di smoking area outdoor karena indoornya lagi rame. Gw langsung pesen & bayar di counter biar praktis menghindari minta bill lama karena lagi ramai. Pesen capuccino (45k), beansnya dari Melbourne langsung katanya. Karena kesini sebelum Natal, gw minta latte art bernuansa natal sama baristanya. Makanannya pesen Ricotta hotcakes (125k). 
Pas duduk di luar, kotor banget mejanya berdebu & keliatan belum diberesin abis rokok sebelumnya. Yaudah gw bersihin sendiri karena gada waitress yg stand by diluar. 
Capuccino dateng duluan, kok latte artnya beruang? terlihat ga rapih & foamnya ilang pula.. Untung kopinya enak cukup bold walau agak greasy after tastenya. Ricotta hotcakesnya banyak banget! Ada 4 tumpuk pancake gede dengan whipped cream, saus coklat, mangga, strawberry, dan blueberry sebagai toppingnya. Sayang hotcakesnya biasa aja cenderung pahit, gw sampe ga habis karena agak pahit :( 
Overall bolehlah kesini lagi tapi cuma buat take away kopinya aja.
