    Midori [ Kelapa Gading, Jepang ]

    Light dinner

    Sebenarnya gw sama temen2 bingung mau makan apa karena ga gitu laper. Akhirnya diputuskan makan di Midori. Tempatnya kecil dengan dekor ala Jepang, minimalist, didominasi furniture kayu. Tempatnya pewe buat nongkrong tapi sempit. Kita cuma cobain 3 menu karena mau light dinner aja.
    1. Salmon sashimi: ini enak dan fresh! Potongannya tebal per slicenya. Yummy!
    2. Salmon mentai: lagi promo 40% discount. Salmonnya enak, empuk, dan sausnya pun enak. Recommended!
    3. Salmon aburi sushi : isinya 8 piece sushi kecil-kecil. Crispy dari tempura di toppingnya. Lumayan enak sih, okelah
    Overall, biasa aja sih makanannya. Harganya agak pricey dengan porsi kecil begitu. Tapi tempatnya enak baut nongkrong lama.
    Oh ya, ada free watermelon sebagai dessertnya.

    Hokkaido Baby [ Pondok Indah, Toko Kue ]

    Hokkaido Baby vs Hokkaido Baked

    Many questions about "what is the difference between Hokkaido Baked and Hokkaido Baby ?" appeared on my IG's DM few days ago. That's why I'm writing this review to erase your curiosity :) Hope you guys could decide which one is the best ♥ 

    Coming from Malaysia (the original one from Japan is actually called "Bake from Hokaido"), Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart and Hokkaido Baby have been so famous in ASEAN, especially Indonesia. There are 3 outlets of Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart in Indonesia : Kota Kasablanka Mall, Kelapa Gading Mall, and Senayan City Mall. However, there are only two outlets of Hokkaido Baby in Jakarta, which are located in Pondok Indah Mall and Neo Soho Mall. There are 2 more outlets in Surabaya : Galaxy Mall and Tunjungan Plaza. Both of them are very popular of their signature tart : the melted cheese tart.

    The queue line for both Hokkaido Baked and Hokkaido Baby are so long, like hours. Now, you can buy them in the big malls in Jakarta. Let's start comparing ♥  

    1. Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart 

     Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart
    Soft and creamy cheese with a great texture of the tart. Not too hard, not too soft. The cheese is thick, but directly melts in your mouth. So creamy in the right proportion. Actually, the taste is milky, more like keju manis. The pie crust was crispy, but firm. It's thicker than any kind of egg tart.

    In Indonesia, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has only one flavor, which is the Original (Cheese). In Singapore and Malaysia, they have other flavor variants such as chocolate and durian. I tasted the original flavor form Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. Honestly, I prefer the one form KL. The tart is crispier and the cheese is creamier and thicker as compared the one from Jakarta. However, the chocolate tart is not as good as the original. 

    2. Hokkaido Baby 

    The only one Hokkaido Baby outlet is at Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta. So, it's better to taste it directly at the outlet. There are 4 flavor variants : Cheese, Chocolate, Matcha, and Salted Egg. The filling is runnier than Hokkaido Baked. I like the pie crust. Crispy and thinner. The pie crust is so fragile. So, watch out when you do your first bite :) The cheese flavor is creamy, cheesy, and melted directly in your mouth. The salted egg flavor is good, but not my favorite one. The chocolate flavor is not so good and the match is quiet good, but not my favorite one. 

    Hokkaido Baked vs Hokkaido Baby 

    1. Pie Crust : The difference can be tasted from the pie crust. The base or crust is good and crunchy for both them. However, I prefer Hokkaido Baby's since the crust is crunchier and thinner. Effortlessly in chewing it in my mouth. Actually, the crust of Hokkaido Baked is good, but too thick for a cheese tart. 

    2. The Filling : The filling from Hokkaido Baked is thick, bold, and tasty. Not sweet, but not salty. On the other hand, the filling of Hokkaido Baby Tart is watery, to a point it's like cream fillings. It has a very good aroma, simply because once they finish reheat it, they brush it with butter or margarine so it smells so good. In terms of the filling, I prefer Baked Cheese Tart because the filling is thicker and not too runny. I think the filling from Hokkaido Baby is too watery for a tart filling. 

    3. The Flavor variants : In terms of flavor variants, Hokkaido Baby wins over Hokkaido Baked in Indonesia. They have more flavor variants as compared to Hokkaido Baked which has only one flavor. 

    In Indonesia, for me Hokkaido Baby wins over Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart. However, it depends on your preference liking. Many people also like thicker crust and thicker filling.

    Moreover, you must bite the cheese tarts directly after you pay them. Otherwise, the taste and texture will be different when you eat it at home. Eat it while it still warm :)

    Gia Restaurant & Bar [ Sudirman, Italia ]

    Fine Dining Cantik

    Hello food lovers! Kali ini gw cobain makan di GIA berhubung punya voucher dari Ismaya nih. Restorannya di dalam gedung Sampoerna Strategic, ada indoor dan outdoornya. Gw duduk di indoor. Restonya dibagi jadi 2 bagian: Lounge dan restoran. Semua inetriornya bagus, modern, dan cantik. Yang suka foto, wajib banget datang ke sini.

    Loungenya buka dari jam 10.00-24.00, tapi restonya ada jam istirahat. Gw  mau dinner tapi ekcepetan datangnya karena belum tahu jadwa buka restonya. Dinner starts jam 18.00-21.00, setelah jam 21.00 dibuka untuk night bar. Karena datangnya sebelum jam 18.00, jadinya gw cobain dessert dulu di lounge. 
    Gw cobain Fondente Al Cioccolato E Peperoncino (Chocolate lava). Kue coklatnya kecil banget dan melted chocolatenya ada rasa pedas2nya, dihias dengan cantik di atas piring. Enak dan ngenyangin walopun porsinya kecil (it means it contains high fat).
    Karena kekenyangan makan dessert, akhirnya cuma bisa makan pizza. Gw cobain Formaggi & Tartuffo (pizza jamur). Pizzanya unik, tipis dan pinggirnya agak keras tapi garing. 1 porsi isi 6 potong. Enak dan ngenyangin banget! Selama menunggu makanan, kita dikasih 3 jenis welcome bread yang enak2 semua. Intinya hari ini gw makan roti dan kue doang sih. For the price, it's so pricey, but tasty.

    Sushi Sen [ Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jepang ]

    Sushi Rumah

    Hello foodies! Pulang dinas gw sengaja langsung ke Sushi Sen pas tau kalo ada Sushi Rumah. Konsepnya mirip dengna kompetitior: sushi disusun di dalam wadah berbentuk rumah kayu. Ada 5 tingkat rumahnya, jadi kamu perlu pilih minimum 3 macam sushi. Gw pesen yg jadi favoritenya mereka:
    1. Salmon aburi cheese maki : Salmon roll isi 2 pcs. Isinya kani, timun, dan di atasnya salmon dan cheese dibakar, lalu dihias dengan salmon roe dan mayonnaise.
    2. Salmon Aburi Sushi: Salmon sushi biasa yang dibakar dan dilapisi dengan shoyu
    3. Gyudon sushi Truffle: Sushi dilapisi dengan beef slice dan di atasnya ada salmon roe. Ini enak!
    4. Salmon mentai Cheese: salmon sushi dengan melted cheese. lumayan sih rasanya.
    Overall, untuk sushi salmon nya menurut gw biasa aja sih. Nothing special.Yang jadi signature di sini adalah foie gras sushi. However, gw ga suka amis jadi ga berani cobain. Yang gw suka adalah konsepnya unik, disajikan dengan rumahan kayu. Buat para food hunter, pastiin kalian langsung cobain ya!

    Gelato Secrets [ Menteng, Es Krim ]

    Hello foodies! Finally bisa ke Shophaus nih. Lokasinya deket seberangnya Bunga Rampai. Rame banget tempatnya dan tadi pas dateng hujan. Parkirannya sempit banget dan harus valet parking.
    Tempatnya bagus dan shop di dalamnya kecil-kecil tempatnya. Secret gelato pas banget di depan pintu masuk. Tempatnya sederhana dan minimalist. Pilihan gelatonya banyak. Yg unik ada Chocolate Chili dan Rose Petal.
    Chocolate chili unik sih rasanya. Manis, pedas, rasa coklatnya milky.
    Rose petal ada aroma mawarnya dan ada rasa asem2nya yg unik. Agak susah ya dideskripsiin, jadi emsti cobain sendiri 
    Gw sarankan pilih yg Large size karena bisa nyibain 4 flavor sekaligus. Porsinya kecil-kecil gitu dan cepet banget abis. Oh ya kalo ga dapet tempat duduk di dalem gelato secret, kamu bisa duduk di depannya dan di atas (Mocking Bird), tapi harus pesan makanan di resto Mockingbird nya.
    Overall, ge suka gelatonya akrena ga terlalu creamy, light, dan rasnaya unik.

    Sandjaja & Seafood [ Kelapa Gading, Indonesia ]

    Sop Gurame susu nya enak banget

    Hello seafood lovers! Kali ini gw mau ngereview tentang rumah makan seafood yang terkenal di Kelapa Gading. Lokasinya di Boulevard, deretan AJ Bakery. Di sini terkenal seafoodnya yg enak dan murah. Here goes the food:
    1. Sop Gurame
    Recommended banget! Guramenya crispy, dagingnya empuk, disteam dengan kuah susu + telor asin  + daun kari. Wah enak banget deh! Gurih, so mouthfull, dan ikannya ga amis. Awalnya, sempet underestimate sama menu ini. Temen gw bilang enak, tpai kalo di resto lain kan gurame amis, bau tanah. Kalo di sini ga amis sedikit pun, malah gw jadi suka gurame 
    2. Cumi mentega
    Cuminya kecil2, gurih, enak kok. Pas banget dimakan sama saus padang dari udang yg gw pesen.

    3. Udang saus Padang
    Udangnya enak! Garing dan empuk. Saus padangnya pedes, gurih, pokoknya enak!
    OVerall, tempatnya mayan pewe, tpai sayang servicenya agak lama padahal masih belum ramai. Makanannya enak, terutama sop guramenya. Porsi di sini kecil2 ya, jadi lebih baik pesen agak banyak menu aja biar lebih puas

    Warung Porki [ Kelapa Gading, China ]

    Angkringan babi

    Hello pork lovers! Ada tempat nongkrong baru nih di Kelapa Gading. Lokasinya di seberang OTW cafe, deket sama Bakmi atham. Tempanya rumah kecil, di dalamnya ada gerobak kecil yang isinya lauk2 babi semua, makanya disebut angkringan. Tempatnya bagus dan bersih tapi panas. Indoornya ada AC tapi pintunya tetap dibuka, jadi ya tetap panas 
    Ada berbagai macam lauk yang all pork. Ada nasi chaisu madu, nasi babi rica, nasi babi biasa. Ada juga baso babi kuah, Bakut kecap babi (ini menu yang berubah setiap hari). Lauknya banyak banget: ada sate babi, baso babi bakar, babi tim, tempe babi, iga babi, kulit babi, siomay, sop babi, tahu goreng babi, semuanya babi. Banyak banget macemnya dan porsinya kecil-kecil seperti nasi kucing. Enak2 kok. 
    Gw suka baso babi bakar dan sae babinya. Enak!

    Tot Aw [ Kelapa Gading, Indonesia ]

    Indomie cafe baru di Kelapa Gading

    Tot Aw ini terkenal dengan Indomie Cakenya. Ordernya mesti jauh2 hari karena full booked. Sekarang gw nyobain makan di warung indomienya. Tempatnya kecil banget, sederan Ncek Legenda, di seberangnya area sekolah Penabur. Tepatnya di sebelah kanan pintu gerbang perumahan Janur Asri. Tempatnya cukup untuk 25 orang. Dindingnya didekorasi coretan - coretan dari kapur dan rumus-rumus fisikan yang lucu. Gaya anak muda banget. Menunya sederhana: Indomie, Nasi, Snack, dan Roti Bakar. All you can eat Indomie hanya 28k! Murah ya.
    Uniknya, semua makanan di sini  disajikan di dalam kotak makan berbentuk kodok warna hijau muda
    Gw cobain 4 menu utama dan 1 snack nih:
    1. Tot kering: indomie goreng polos,keasinan sih menurut gw.
    2. Tot Asu + Sambal Item: nasi dicampur dengna tahu goreng bumbu rendang, ayam suir rendang, dan setengah potong telor mata sapi disiram saus rendang. Actually, not bad rasanya tapi keasinan buat gw. Sambal itemnya pedes dan agak asin, tapi lumayan enak.
    3. Tot Basah + Baso: indomie rasa Ayam Bawang / Soto Mie dengan 2 pcs baso
    4. Tot Becek + Telor Goreng + Sambal Kemangi: Tot becek tuh Indomie nyemek pakai telor. So far it is the best dish. Sambal kemanginya kurang enak dan ga ada aroma daun kemanginya. Cara buatnya : cabe digoreng dengan kemangi dan bumbu-bumbunya. 
    5. Siomay goreng (6k/pc) : siomay ikan digoreng. Lumayan buat ganjel perut
    Overall, makanan di sini didominasi sama keunikan menu sambelnya. Buat pecinta pedas, wajib cobain nih. Terus cobain juga Indomie Keju Coklat. Penasaran kan? Buruan deh nyobain

    RockPaperScissors [ Kuningan, Kafe ]

    Good looking outdoor space, but not the food

    Hello foodies! Kali ini gw cobain makan di sini pas hari Minggu. Kata temen2 dan social media, tempat di sini bagus dan makanannya cukup enak. RockPaperScrs itu satu grup dengan Wilshire dan Bottega.  Karena penasaran, gw jadi mau nyobain. Tempatnya ada 2, outdoor untuk smoking dan indoor untuk non-smoking. Yg indoor space nya kecil dan gelap. Yg outdoor tempatnya terang dan luas dengan interior seperti di dalam rumah kaca. 
    Menu yg gw pesen ada 3 nih:
    1. Ayam sambal matah : biasa aja. Ayamnya oily, sambal matah dan dabu-dabunya kurang autentik. Not recommend this dish.
    2. Hayashi Rice Doria: beef rice yg dibaked dengan melted mozarella cheese. Beefnya biasa aja, tpai bumbu dan cheesenya OK. Lumayan deh.
    3. Buttercake with Miso Glazed : dessert yang gw pikir unik karena ada miso glazed nya. Rasanya kemanisan, kuenya juga padat banget (sepertinya agak bantet) dan ada rasa lemonnya. Eneg banget dimakan berdua, pasnya buat 3-4 orang dimakannya.
    Overall, gw kecewa banget sama rasa makanan di sini. Too high expectation karena dikiran seenak Wilshire dan ternyata masih jauh dair itu. Harga dishnya antara 80-130k per porsi. Masih banyak resto lain dengan harga sama tapi tastenya lebih enak, bahkan yang lebih murah juga banyak. Buat dicoba sesekali sih boleh juga, tapi gw ga recommend tempat ini buat ngerayain event ya.
